My Daughter has benefited from learning through k-12. She loves it and it allows me to spend time with her and to I get to put her in things she likes, like dance, and sports, or performing arts that the city offers. Worth more then the public school system which have cut out most of the programs that k12 offers. no more music, no art, no PE, no social skills learned in public school. You sit at a desk and I feel don't learn in a regular brick and mortar school.

i have been in this since i was in 7th grade (im now in ninth) i love it! its so easy and no people, it doesn't mess up your social life unless your antisocial. im only in school for about 3-4 hours a day and being a teen means more sleeping for me :DD i can answer anyones questions if they need it! (:
We just enrolled last friday but how long does it take for them to call you back to complete the enrollment? I really want to get started i'm very excited!

@mykooleffects It took me only like 4 days to get enrolled because my mom put it on rush for me, but it could take ike 2 weeks or so if you don't rush!

@rockstar191817 YES I DID FOR A MONTH AND I DID NOT WORK OUT AT ALL BECAUSE SHE ALWAYS WORKS YOUR PARENT HAS TO STAY HOME AND DAY TO WATCH EVERYTHING THAT YOUR DO ON THE WEBSITE ITS IS ONE OF THEIR RULES
@mil1982aooo this is not accurate at all. Please visit our facebook page or k12 blog, where you can find a lot of information about socialization and online learning. ~steph
@mil1982aooo i have an amazing soccial life and im trying to participate in k12 because i dont like the enviornment im learning in right now. to many distractions, the people there are to loud and disruptive, and teachers and staff here are just terrible. plus i dont get drugs offered to me every time i switch subjects online.
@mil1982aooo I have been homeschooled from the start, and this is a very common mistake. I have a very social life, it is up to you wether you have one or not. :) Just participate in the amazing activities K12 offers and you will be in great shape! Sports is a good option too if you are into that stuff, or clubs. :)
@mil1982aooo Your generalization and overall lack of perspective in your opinion demonstrates your social skills quite well. It is a child's personal preference as to whether they would like to be social or not, and in turn hone those skills. To force them into either direction is ignorant to their personality, and a waste of time, as it is unlikely that they will induct *any* skills without their own motivation to do so. Go back to shooting trash with your 12 gauge.
i think k12 is good but it's really hard for me to stay motivated, i already had motivation problems but this is even harder so if you want to start it be prepared, and don't be a hermit either
I really want to go to NYU. I'm thinking about what school I want to attend online because, public school is just not for me. I've never liked the enviroment, I'm social don't get me wrong, but I always feel like I'm wasting my time in there when I could be learning more than bare necessities. So far, I'm considering Provost, Insight, and K12. Help?
yeah... K12, they require an extra 5 hours of teach time and 2 hours on study island. we didn't do those, we quit. i'm doing perfectly fine with regular homeschooling and I hated K12...
Newsflash people..... it's not possible for a public school not to offer history and science! Maybe at a private or charter school but NOT at a public school. The public school needs to have history and science no matter what or it's not a legal school.
@iloveflightattending ...on the contrary, no they don't. We live in Fallon, NV. My son was in 2nd grade last year. No science or history class. They concentrated on reading and math due to low scores.
@iloveflightattending - Actually I attended a public school in S. CA that did not offer any math or science in my grade. I had moved to another area of S. Cal & that same grade required me to know a lot of math and science. Let's just say that gap that wasn't taken care of? Where the public school just shuffled me through their system? I got so behind when I hit highschool, I felt hopeless. I quit. K12 is giving me a 2nd chance. A 2nd chance at life, it feels.
if they only offer a GED for graduation that means you would have to go to a junior college , if they offer education to go to a real college than yes you should go there

I was in public schools up to 6th grade, I had an awesome social life, and great grades.
I've been homeschooled for a little over 3 years, I have severe social anxiety, and okay grades.
Parents that watch this, don't make the mistake of taking your kids out of public schools.
