These dogs will bark and bark and bark. If you want noise pollution get a maremma. They love to bark at cars, bicyclist, children, rabbits and air. You name it the will bark at it. Great dog if you have 300 acres and keep them in the middle of it.
@ccoins102 Because Maremma dogs are intended to be watch dogs, she does bark quite a lot. And yes she is situated on a big property where she has all the space she needs, plus more, to be a good watch dog for the animals and us, to run around and to make all the noise she likes. She is a beautiful animal. What can I say, its a dog's life, right?
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BREED UNLESS YOU LIKE LOUD CONSTANT BARKING! This breed is good in the house with people or surrounded by 300 acres where no one can hear them. If they are left outside they will bark non stop at nothing most of the time. Not a good neighborhood dog at all.
I have a meremma and yes they do need a fair bit of excercise I would definately suggest a big yard cause my boy is huuge! He was soo gorgeous wen he was a puppy he still has the same face. i also have a siberian husky and they get along just fine
hi your puppy is very cte just like my two new maremmas ! very loving and also very intelligent..mine arent big on toys but are quite happy to let you pat them for ages..mine are nearly 10 weeks
Maremmas dont need a huge amount of exercise, as long as you have a yard and take them for a walk pretty readily thier happy, due to thier breed they adapt with what their given, i dont know about this one, but mine always chose to chew on metal over sticks, its good now though he has grown up a bit (4 y.o) and prefers sticks
