A big thanks for posting all of these HLOTS movie. Never saw any of it before. Yaphet and Andre Baugher were the glue that held the show together. Both are outstanding actors. The interaction between Bayliss and Frank is riveting. The show lost alot of steam when Frank left after season 6.
loser! But as always, it's good to see a gifted & seasoned veteran actor like Mr. Kotto do what he does best. The man is a priceless gem! Always loved him!
P.S. I know he was shot in the movie but did he die in the end ???
Yeah, he did die in the end from complications. And that's funny--you caught Yaphet in the show every week but didn't become a fan of the show? I thought that would be impossible!
And I thought his character was excellent...though during seasons 6 and 7 the writers messed with everyone's characters. Yaphet had a lot of material and I loved whenever he flirted with a woman (he was adorable!)
I'm NOT a Homicide fan but I loved Yaphet Kotto-the unforgettable Lt. Giardello-his appearance in the weekly series was very limited but priceless-Kotto was the only reason I took the time to watch Homicide whenever I got the chance to view it. Critics loved this show & worshipped Andre Braugher's acting credibility but I always felt that Yaphet Kotto was the one to watch though I didn't think it was fair the writers made Giardello's prominent character bullish but perpetually asexual-a sexless
The music is awesome during G's weird dream sequence.
