  • do caliber white gold trucks turn as tight as randals or paris?

  • love your vids but were is the tour for the new shop

  • @redpandafreeride

    Too busy!

  • What would be the best set up for bombing a downhill? I currently have a carving deck, paris 150 mm trucks, orangatang durian 75mm wheels. What trucks, wheels, and deck should i get???

  • @SwitchDurianParis check out the eastside rocky bomber deck, caliber 40 degree white gold trucks and abec 11 big zigs, or if your an otang fan, in-heats.

  • @SwitchDurianParis

    Landy Chinnok

    Bear 840

Your current wheels of a 80a 75mmish wheel like a Monster Hawg 78a or 80a

  • @MotionBoardshop i am looking for a sliding and carving truck for my landy 952, what would you recommened? i was thinking randalls or callibers please help me. also what size mounting hardware should i use for having a top mount landy 925, thankyou so much please reply tonight

  • Why did you'll not talk about aera trucks, there are like no videos online that talk about them, i would love to see a good one

  • @juliothedrummer

This video was made before Aera Trucks were popular and we also don't carry them! Aera doesn't distribute very much. Check out our precision truck videos for a better idea about them.

  • what if you flip paris 180s? whats more stable, flipped or regular

  • @UnknownSkat3rs Don't flip them, due to the design it's bad for the truck

  • I was thinking of bear trucks for downhill. I am 5'9 and weight 128 pounds will the standard bushings be good for me?

  • would the Randal 180 Japanese Relief be good for downhill with the roger bros 36

  • would the randal 42 work for the aperure deck by sector nine? Its a drop through but was made for the "sidewinder" trucks which totally suck balls. I already have this deck and really dont want to buy a new deck so yea...

  • make a caliber review please!!!

  • How good/bad of an idea would it be to put 195 paris hangers on a 42 randal plate

  • I am planning to get The Switch deck, Pink powerballz or Zombie hawgs, Bear Grizzly trucks 181mm, Bones super red bearings 76mm 82a. And I like sliding, free riding and going downhill. Do u think its a good set up?

  • i am getting a loaded dervish. I want to get the bets overall parts for cruising, pumping, carving, and sliding. i am getting green bigzigs, but i dont know what trucks and bushings are the best for my needs

  • awsome thank you i just got bears 852 and i heard about the flipping, thanx for the vid on explaining how to flip the hanger for it ^,^

  • please help,

i have gullwing chargers and i was wondering if i put some dh bushings in it and put it on my evo would it do DH well or would it not be a good choick ? |

    thank you !!!

  • I understand that trucks don't really matter when it comes to sliding, however, what do you recommend for a Drop-through Board for maximum sliding capabilities?

  • what is the best one

  • do a caliber clinic!!! pretty please?

  • so what r the best dh trunk that r not precision trucks

  • I mean, precision trucks def look badass and all, but there really is no benefit for the average longboarder right? I mean, if I were pro I would go with the best of the best of course, but I don't think the rest of us need to pay 250 dollars more for something we won't even be able to tell the difference of.

  • hey, just wanted to ask how the bear 1040's response is when set up with soft bushings. i was planning on setting it up with venom 85a elim bottom, venom 83a barrel top for DH. i am 123 lbs. thanks.

  • whats a good tech downhill truck for my rayne nemesis??

  • @IndianEli77 If you wants stable truck and good for carving get gullwing stalkers one of the best if not the best cast truck on the market

  • I have a Rayne Avenger and I want to get a more of a DH setup so I want to get new trucks that are very low and stable cause the avenger is a top mount can any 1help me

  • @Staby27 if you want very stable at very high speeds but can still carve as hell get 50 degree gullwing stalkers but if you want super stable at 60mph or more get 40 degree gullwing stalkers

  • if i want a good downhill truck but also i want to carve and slide abit what should i use

  • @IndianEli77 if you want a stable trucks but amazing at downhill get gullwing stalkers i have them they have the best stock bushings on any other cast truck very reboundy which is excellent for carving it carves really hard and the best thing is no speed wobble at me going45-50 mph

  • Which trucks give the best turning?

  • I just go my new landyachtz switch and got randall 180's with it, there very good for downhill but its seem impossible for standup slides... any ideas on either other trucks or loosening or anything.....message me plz... that would be great thanks!

  • @SummerLongboards change the bushings, I have the same setup. just use venom cone bushings and you will slide and carve like a mofo. What wheels r u using??

  • Proof is that if you try it you would realize the turning radius remain the same (it just feel diferent cause of the ride hight and the stability) also if you check the "Randal-flipped-diagram" image on the net , you will notice the pivot axis is remain the same

  • huh?? wait a minute here >> reversing the hagner dont change the angle ,it just change the ride hight and the stability (Cause the angle is "from the pivotcup to the hagner bushing plate" so it always remain the same angle) >the thing that change the angle is putting lower bushing in the bottom or wedging the trucks

  • I'm getting the Avenger soon for my DH board and I was wondering what trucks I should get I will be going 30-60 mph on straight-aways and technical courses. I want a stable, really nice truck I can rely on. thanks!

  • 2 questions I cant find an answer to and would appreciate a hand why do people have old style trucks on the back and new style on the front, and how do I set up wedged risers? I think I have got the risers right but am not sure.

I currently ride (mostly a scrub deck with randall 180s, black bushings bones red and 98mm flywheels green in the dry and XT in the wet

    thanks guys

  • ok this is my setup : Landyachtz SwitchBlade 181mm Bear Grizzly 852 Truck 70mm Metro Motion Freeride Wheels - Radtastic Red (80a) Bones Reds Bearings 0.25" Khiro Soft Shock Pads Risers. I use my longboard for DH and freeride what tips do you have for my setup and any other tips that you can give me. THANK YOU!

  • will a paris 195 wit harder bushings be good for DH with centrax wheels

  • @JMLizardKing1971

yes that set up will be good for down hill

  • Are Bear smokey sgood for downhill?

  • what happens if you flip a paris truck is it better for downhill

  • @MountainTopBoards

"flipping you paris hanger is not very good. sure it is lower, but it really isnt good for the truck. it has an offset bushing seat, so when flipped it has a larger space between the plate and the seat. in order to aline it, you have to shim the bushing, or just crank the pivot into the wrong spot. it really isnt designed to flip. you can do it, but it isnt good for it. i wouldnt."

    quoted

  • I cant decide between paris or randal for freeride, right now im riding chargers with venom bushings but they just don't feel stable at higher speeds. What will give me more stability without sacrificing carve ability? thanks!

  • @SoldierSide36 PARIS. randal may be better for downhill, but paris is better for carving and i easily go 45 mph with my paris, and some hard barrel bushings. i would go with paris all the way man

  • the question is how do they make the solid block of aluminum it was cast into a mould so what is the REAL difference??? Just a giant rip off

  • @Mateoapex34 obviously you are deaf hellen keller he explained they are like cut out more precise to make for a better ride, also if you are blind to they installed bearings in the hanger and pivot...they are also more precise on there measurements on there axles! the explains all this in the video btw! maybe re-watch it?

  • so im getting an earthwing supermodel, and i am trying to find a good set up, im a bit of a larger rider, i was looking at sabre trucks and possibly the o tang stims, i am still kind of new to longboarding, i just learned my first slide. so any advice anyone can offer would be much appreciated

  • i want somthing for carvig and bombing hills what do you say???

  • @RejectSkateboarding

Going with cast it would be 42 degree randals hands down, and maybe flipped bear 852s

  • @MotionBoardshop flipped 852's doesnt work. it will work for a while but eventually the king pin will snap. ive done it and so have 3 of my friends and its hard to find a new kingpin for 852's that is exactly like the ones it came with

  • @KealeTV ive had my bears flipped since the day i got em and i haven't had a single problem. and they've been through hell

  • soo is it worth it too flip the bears??

  • @poop12345507

    For DH its really nice

  • Al-umin-um not Alummniom

  • i hear bear give good stability and turn even with 52 degree base plate, can you inform us about that? how does it compare to randal?

  • for slide, carving & little downhill, what you think about : randall rII 50 degree or paris 50 degree.. thanks.

  • @xjord187x randal

  • For freeriding, Paris 180's, or Gullwing Chargers?

  • @bennybionk95 paris

  • When will u guys get more loaded devishes bc I was Gunnar buy one from u guy but ur out of stock so ya

  • 0:55 .press it

  • can randal trucks fit venom eliminators

  • are gulwing trucks good for bombing? i heard they are the most stable of all the trucks.

  • are 50 degree paris 180s any good? thats what im thinking about getting

  • @KeKeKeilan

Sure, they are great for free ride.

  • wooh 42 degrees in the back 50 degrees in the front

  • What has the biggest turning radius and best stability

  • @ChillChillChilll

Turning radius would be paris and bear, stability would be paris 195 and randalls

  • @sontompa if your looking for turnier trucks downhill trucks are not good for you. If you want turny trucks get paris's. Downhill trucks are made to be stable and not be turny

  • @pkdukesnides1 of course ya can :) especially if you got the 42 degrees you can flip the hanger and it becomes 37 I think. Good downhill trucks

  • @sadycon

Hes right you trucks are facing the wrong way

  • are the paris 195s with 50* baseplate and 90a divine double barrels suitable for downhill ?

  • do you think a 42 degree randal 180 would work well on a drop thru killswitch? also how many degrees is the truck changed when is is flipped?

  • @extremekiwi28 They'd work fine, and the angle doesn't change when flipping any truck, it just changes the leverage over the bushings.

  • @extremekiwi28 yeah it will work fine. i think it would be 45 degrees and 39 degrees. and don't forget the shock pards

  • whats the difference between 150mm 180 mm and 195mm im kinda new so im jwing

  • @thezepher13 150mm has a shorter hanger making it more manuverable 195mm hanger is wider making it more stable wich is better for downhill

  • Would Randall be alot carvy (as Paris) if I selected the good bushings ? Im 6" tall and 140 lbs (lookin to freeeeeeeride) thank

  • @mrPACarrier for freeride, i would just go paris, but if you want it to do a little bit more bombing that paris, go for 50degree randall with some venom bushings, and your all set.

  • i just bought a longboard pintail but i have a question... is it normal that front wheels i mean the truck turns to the oposite side of the board?.... i mean when i turn the booard or bend to the right the front truck turns to the left whats wrong with it?

  • @sadycon I think you have your trucks backwards...

  • i have RII's can u do any downhill with them

  • @pkdukesnides1 yes sir, i hit about 35-40 today, good idea to have some 90a barrel at least on board side or something tho (at least 90a barrel works well for me and my 165lb friend). I hit 35-40 with 80a conical roadside and 86a barrel board side, not exactly a downhill setup, but it works fine up to 35-40. I got 1 wobble today from about 35, but that's mainly my fault for coming backup too fast after a toe side hand down turn = too much weight into my backfoot = wooble = road rash..

  • @pkdukesnides1 all i have to do is just turn my bolt like 270 degree, bombed it again and i'm fine.

  • Which one of them is best to turn with?

  • @Sontompa paris probably, but personally i don't like it for downhill... at all.

  • please, does anyone know the angle of the gullwing sidewinder trucks ? is it 45 degrees or what ?

  • what's the duro on those stock grizzly bushings? i weigh no more than 120 lbs, am about 5'6 - 5'7, and i'm planning to put the 852s on a LBL sea calf. and i want to set the trucks up so that they're somewhat carvy, but stable for hill bombing too. should i change the bushings? i'm thinking of venom elims, but i dont know which duro/ duro combination. thanks.

  • @threecheerer

the newest version of the 852's come with green pumpkin barrels which I think are right around 85a.

If you want to upgrade bushings to eliminators, I would think some 80a eliminators would do you nicely. the 852's bushing seats really engage the bushings to their full potential, so softer durometers are generally recommended.

  • Hey, wich trucks carve the best beetween Paris 180, Randall 180 or Bear Grizzlys 180 with Venoms Supercarve 83a?

  • do venom barrels fit on smokies?? cuz im planning on getting 90a boardside and 85a roadside on them.

  • What bushings should i get on my Bear grizzly's? I'm looking at the eliminators but whats the difference with the SHR? and what duro, I'm 100lbs

  • where are the calibers trucks?

  • Can u please do a review on the SABRE 190mm 45degree trucks please. thanks. Also i was wondering if they would be a good freeride truck or a good downhill truck.

  • is the randal 42 degree baseplate good for free riding? i want to put them on a rayne nemesis with stimulus. would i get wheel bite? i want to do mostly sliding and free riding, and commuting.please reply!

  • is the randal 42 degree baseplate good for free riding? i want to put them on a rayne nemesis with stimulus. would i get wheel bite? i want to do mostly sliding and free riding. please reply

  • hey i'm new to longboard i'm 6 inch weight 58kg what kind of board would you prefer for me i'm asian. longboardforlife

  • im using paris 180s on my downhill setup with red and green venom barrels, is this a good downhill truck or should i change to my randals or my bears?

  • @Tobybbrown

lots of people like paris for downhill it's all preference. try them all out and see what feels best.

  • What should i get for a dervish? More carving than bombing. RIIs?

  • @SectorSun RII's and Paris 180's will both be great.

  • are the GUNMETAL TRUCKS good for DH ??? PLZ reply and the CALIBERS TRUCKS ?????

  • I'm riding a Rayne Avenger downhill and sliding but I also use it to commute in the city. Any suggestions for trucks?

  • Hey I Just Found Out That Randal Downhill Truck Only Comes With Oldschool Old Pattern!!1 :'( I Need Some Help On Best RACING And DOWNHILL Trucks.

  • Im confused.

    Bear grizzlies 52*

    unflipped 57*

    flipped 47*

    Which ones right?

  • @Longboardmaestro

that is correct the baseplate is 52* but when its unflipped it ends up at 57* and flipped ends up at 47*

  • Bro I have a question... My girlfriend got me Seismic 180mm truck with Stable-Turn 30-degree geometry. What I would like to know if I can use them for downhill or if I can do nice slides with them? thanks in advance.

  • 86a Pastel Blue Venom SHR Downhill Barrel bushings boardside and 83a pastel yellow roadside im 145lbs. Is this good for my weight?

  • @THE6POINT0REJECT it depends what you wanna do (carving, Dh, etc..)

  • @sk8er37dus

I wanted to get into downhill some more...so like some medium bombing but i want to be able to turn enough...so not as much as carving but not incapable of turning

  • @THE6POINT0REJECT get bears!

  • @sk8er37dus

Yeah i got bear 852s with my new vendetta

  • @THE6POINT0REJECT awesome! :D, and witch wheels de you have?

  • @sk8er37dus

im getting some orangatang stimulis i was going to use my old durians but they are too big and the stimulis are the same pretty much...i may get some retro zig zags eventually but until then im just gonna use my stims for like medium downhill sliding type stuff

  • @THE6POINT0REJECT go with something with a round lip, like a retro freeride, a zombie hawk 84a, or something like that, but yeah, stimulus are good wheels.

  • @sk8er37dus

yeah i was thinking about some orange zig zags..but i saw something called the orange plus zig zags...idk what they are but i may look into them some more.

  • @THE6POINT0REJECT zigzags orange plus is a retro zigzag, in 89a, thats too hard, i would say go with retro freerides 86a, a stimulus 86a or a hawk zombie 84a

  • @sk8er37dus

yeah i know i got some stims 86...

  • sorry for the questions but what trucks in your opinion are the best the bear grizzly 181 mm trucks or the original s8 200 mm trucks?

  • hello people, can you help me out with this? okay so im trying to find out what trucks are like the best, i mean THE BEST and the lightest trucks that can handle anything, tell me what you think

  • @nirvana50325 in my opinion, the Original S8 trucks. They handle everything, carving, sliding, downhill most of the time. Hope this help :)

  • @nirvana50325 There is no "best" truck. It differs by every person. If you want a good all-around truck,go for some Randals.

  • hello people, can you help me out with this? okay so im trying to find out what trucks are like the best, i mean THE BEST trucks that can handle anything, tell me what you think

  • @patsnissislikethis yeah, you dont need specials wheels

  • did you flip the kingpin on all those trucks? if so, how does that affect the truck and how it rides?

  • so with bear u can flip one way for carving and the other for more downhill??

  • @patsnissislikethis if you can buy smokeys, you can buy also 10mm bearings......

  • u guys need to get "original" trucks they have springs and make for great carving. plus there heavy duty springs make for great downhill action.

  • @SuperSupertimmy

how heavy are the original trucks?

  • @nirvana50325

    the s8 original trucks

  • Can you put 42* Randall Baseplate on Paris 180' ?

  • Would i be able to DH with a Rayne Avenger and some Paris 180' (90a DH Venom Bushings) ?

  • hi i have randals 50's i got them for carving but im getting into DH is it a big deal if i use them instead of 35s or others

  • @patsnissislikethis bearings? of course lol

  • I have the worst trucks for DH, something like gunmetal magnums. But i just tighten em up and ta daa. but its not stable enough but i live with it. Im gonna buy sum DH bushings, do a little tuning here and there. and hopefully it feels better :) LB 4 life

  • Pink Randels!!

  • How can I put Eliminator bushings in a Bear grizzly ?

  • Hello. im in need of help right now. i have a sector 9 tree barrel longboard. it is a dropthrough deck. first question is, can all trucks be used for drop through? or can you only use specific trucks? and would randal 180/42 degrees be good for carving and bombing and everything pretty much. and what do bushings do? im kind of new to longboarding :) thanks for help!

  • how are the paris 195s?

  • the trucks that came with my longboard were some gullwing misson 1 trucks they measured 8.375" in axle. I really wanna upgrade for some trucks that will be all around great for downhill and carving... especially since the hills whre I live have a few turns and some are tight.

my longboard itself is Lenght:30'' Width:8.25'' Wheel base:19''

What would you recommend I was looking at the Bear 852's but if theyre 181mm in axle then thats 7.125''

  • Hey (: what do youguys think of Sabre trucks? I was thinking maybe getting some for my Nemesis that I'll be getting soon :D

  • are the randal r2 more durable or better quality than the paris 180?

  • would you reccomend flipping the hangers on the bear 852's for dh?

  • Flipping the hanger still don't change the degree....

  • Hey guys what degree of base plate should I use with randal 180s and what bushing set-up do you guys suggest thanks, and crail or randal for DH ?

  • are their any cast trucks with all the sextra bearings in the pivot cup and for the bushing? so like a $120-$160???

  • would paris 180mm trucks be good for downhill?

  • @jobtin007 Yes, it's what i use. I run double Barrel 91a Venom SHR bushings. I've gotten up to 40.

  • so when flipping the hangers, do you flip the bushings with it or do they stay and your just flipping the hanger? i have 2010 bear 852's

  • if i flip my trucks do i need to flip the bolt?

  • I'm glad I got the randal 50degrees they're so nice for downhill and cruising

  • do not get the randal 42s if you have a drop deck i did and my board dragged when i tried to make any sort of turns with it. i tightend them as much as i could and still the board draged on the pavement

  • can all trucks have their kingpin facing out or in? i have a pintail right now and the stock trucks have the kingpin is facing in so if i were to upgrade trucks do i have the kingpin facing in or out? thanks

  • Hey my freind is selling me some Randall R-11 180 mm trucks so i was wondering if those trucks would be good for DH

  • What trucks would you recommend that is affordable and is great for flat land riding and carving.

  • if you flip a 50 degree randall it would be a 47degrre truck

  • is randal good trucks? and whats best between paris and randa l??

  • Hey Motion Board Shop

I'm all about down hill and i reach speeds around 45 mph, i tend to get speed wobble a lot causing more then a few wipe outs any recommendations?

    Thanks.

  • @jo3ker95 speed wobbles dont have much to do with your trucks it mostly confedence if your nervous your more likey to get speed wobbles

  • when freeriding, light bombing, and carving... would it be better to have a randal rII 180 with a 50* plate and i could flip it.... or have a 42* plate and leave normal... my deck is the tan tien

  • @sk8skiboard3 50* plates with softer bushings. or you could go prandal and have alot of fun.

  • Which is the best carving truck you have?

  • hey i got a land yatchz bamboo pinner, but i want new trucks for it, any idea what i should get?

  • Comment removed

  • i just got a pair of gullwing 50 degrees complete trucks if i changed the hangers to bears or randals would it make it more stable, because my trucks suck for downhill

  • I looking for trucks you can turn good on, any tips?

  • @Sontompa randal 150's with soft venom super carves

  • Flipping hangers on Randals doesn't change the degree of the pivot...

  • @hellsambassador666

obviously they don't physically change the angle of the pivot but EFFECTIVELY they do. Flipping a 42* randal is like switching from a 45* to a 39* baseplate with a non-raked hanger.

  • @MotionBoardshop It changes the castor which is how the truck feels when it turns. Due to the downward force exerted on the hangers.

  • hey! i just bought regular r2 randalls.. are they good for downhill if u flip them?

  • @orrymannen

They work well for DH when flipped. They won't be as stable as a lower angle plate, but they are better than when unflipped.
