Quitting FPS after just about throwing the f@cking controller through the T.V. because of lag and lousy hit detection (don't even get me started on BF3). Looking for a top shelf stategy game and was wondering if this is worth my money ? Thanks.
@ht448 i see what yiurs saying and they are two unique styles with ups and downs. i personnally like groups because they you can have huge groups fighting and it not guys either dying fast or dying slow and seeming op. I like the battles to last longer than they technicly should if you have one person armies. It seems more realistic for longer battles but i like single units too. I play starcraft2 and love that game. It has one person units. Everyone ahs their preferences
Getting this game for consoles is a waste of money because of the damn limited units allowed. If my computer could handle it, U would've got it for the computer.
I hate RTS games but i found this game on the internet and downloaded it and got addicted so i think if this game can grab the attention of a person that doesn't even like RTS games then its a pretty good game
i dunno. graphics dont matter to me much but if your mainly playing in that gawdy google satellite view most of the time.... i gotta see explosions and hear stuff to feel satisfied. otherwise it might as well be a text based game with moving pictures.

I just played the demo and I absolutely loved it. It felt so rewarding to command troops fighting on two different flanks. One side pushing into the Italian flank the other fighting the Germans. Then it got to the point when I used nuclear artillery on this German tank division attacking me. The result made me smile. I now plan on buying it! This is a great game, but not for everyone.

I have this game for X box and the population limit/capacity is very annoying. Is there a limit on units on the PC version. Also it's hard to look past the flaws on this game. Infantry is useless, Spam artillery, the planes always dive down so they kill AA before the AA can shoot, Population is gay and the Ai is mentally retarded, there either to easy or to hard and spam aircraft (UK) or artiler (Germany).
infantry is useful because of its low cost, a few well placed units will at least slow down the ennemy. Well unless you play without time limit, in that case, its ridiculous
CoH is a lot about smart micro, RUSE is much more about global strategy with less micro. Sadly it's underrated and so there aren't much people playing online. Getting out shortly after starcraft 2 really didn't help, even though i think ruse is superior.
@Kamfrenchie I don't think so. I say StarCraft 2 and R.U.S.E is are both great games, but StarCraft 2 is better becuase it has been in development for 12 years.
Well starcraft 2 has great polishing, but for a game developped for so long i found it disappointing. Campaign was pretty much "spam m&m + the newest unit and win" assuming you had enough apm. Multiplayer is also very reliant on am and strict BO. Morevoer, the fight aren't fun imo. 2 blob shoot at each other with repetitive animation and slowly melt, not as fun as say CoH or supcom 1.
Based on the Xbox360 demo, I was ready to call this the best game ever made. On second thought, this game is not without flaws, I had some difficulty with unit selection, and building new base areas didn't go smoothly either. On the other hand it's uniqueness makes points for it on Xbox. on PC there are similar games to RUSE so it's less impressive.

I found this game for $20 at one store (still double that much at others) and grabbed their last copy. I still haven't played it. Seeing this it looks even more complicated than expected. :/

Yes, but not in the campaign. There you can only play as USA. In the war mode or multiplayer you can play: USA, Germany, UK, France, Italy, UdSSR and Japan (Japan is a downloadcontent).
@mrjamespage I believe it is pronounced like "oobisoft", as I have heard Ubisoft employees pronounce their company's name like that. Also, when Ubisoft confirms that a specific game is their game, they will say "An Ubisoft" production. If it were pronounced "Yoo-B-soft", that wouldn't make any sense grammatically. Therefore it must be pronounced "oobisoft".

It plays fairly well on the Xbox360. Got it for christmas and played it today for the first time. It was sick. Really makes you Feel like you've Accomplished something when you get through a real hectic bit where bombers are getting shot down and parachutist are parachuting and dudes are getting shot like Dudes get shot.

After downloading the demo played it several times on all the difficulties and it is a fun game. Took a little while to get used to the controls on the xbox but once I did everything was peachy.

It plays fairly well on the Xbox360. Got it for christmas and played it today for the first time. It was sick. Really makes you Feel like you've Accomplished something when you get through a real hectic bit where bombers are getting shot down and parachutist are parachuting and dudes are getting shot like Dudes get shot.

Quick tip: at 1:40 hold down the button to deploy more of the same unit. I don't know if this works on the PC.

After downloading the demo played it several times on all the difficulties and it is a fun game. Took a little while to get used to the controls on the xbox but once I did everything was peachy.

I dont play a lot of these types of games but the demo on xbox 360 sold it for me. Had to buy full game !! Such an awesome game, i can understand why it might not appeal to some but it is so awesome. Online is the best but not enough people play this game !!!

@TeknoWizardd How about you play the fucking game and not GUESS why there's a unit cap on the console versions, which is there because of LIMITATIONS. On the PC there is no limit because of the simpler user interface and the fact that PCs simply have better graphics engines than an Xbox 360.

The idea of Universal Health Care is not "socialist" (by the way is how you spell it) it's an idea that people should not be denied care to further their lives if they don't have enough money in their banks, or they don't have good enough insurance. Most European countries have this and if you haven't noticed the Euro value still surpasses that of the dollar. Also, the fact that you bring up race, makes you look intolerant.
