TKD guy used chops brilliantly. In muay thai and kickboxing, this would be the version of a backfist (just have to tilt it to become an exact backfist). I don't know why chops are illegal in muay thai and in boxing. I think it's a very practical move. When I spar in boxing, I'm most of the time tempted to used chops I learn in FMA. :-)

But, this fight was only a sparring match before an actual tournament. They're fighting because the Thai kid was talking shit about how their team was going to win easy. So the Taekwondo kid challenged him. Both of them are 17.

This TKD dude just buttsecksed the hell out of the MT guy. And he did it with style. The gap in skill level is pretty obvious. Martial Arts are just like any other art. Is the violin superior to the guitar? Are watercolors superior to oil? The ring is the canvas of the martial artist, and his fighting style is the paint. In the end, it's all about the artists skill.

For those who say it was Sanda, sanda usally wipes the floor with Muay-thai. So no... Sanda got take downs and throws. If the tkd would have faced Sanda he would have been beaten. What he faced was a unexperienced Muay Thai fighter. You can see that because he have not hardened his shin. He use a leg guard. God damn. I have no idea how to tell how good that Muay Thai is, but... seemed like a poor display. Just that he seemed inexperienced to an extent. The Tae Kwon Do fighter also doesn't seem to be able to tone his ass down to his opponent's skill level, going balls to the walls and breaking form all over the place. Commendin' boht fighers though :o

@Wilney02 You don't tone down in a fight. Many fights are scheduled with two fighters at similar experience levels while others are also set up with one experienced fighter and one novice fighter.
But, this fight was only a sparring match before an actual tournament. They're fighting because the Thai kid was talking shit about how their team was going to win easy. So the Taekwondo kid challenged him. Both of them are 17.

For those who say it was Sanda, sanda usally wipes the floor with Muay-thai. So no... Sanda got take downs and throws. If the tkd would have faced Sanda he would have been beaten. What he faced was a unexperienced Muay Thai fighter. You can see that because he have not hardened his shin. He use a leg guard. The other guys probably rented in that tkd fighter for him to practice on. So stop this pointless argueing which style is best. All styles works if you train hard enough.

bouncing isnt a good idea when kicks are involved, a low kick to the legs of someone whos bouncing around like a TKD will put them on there ass(Bam of the ground) Muay thai stand square on because if you stand side on your get kicked to the leg.
if you just come forward against a thai boxer a front kick will throw you across the ring so you come in moving around not bouncing to land a kick knee elbow or punch and if your not in the mood for a clinch knee but we do move you muppet

bouncing isnt a good idea when kicks are involved, a low kick to the legs of someone whos bouncing around like a TKD will put them on there ass(Bam of the ground) Muay thai stand square on because if you stand side on your get kicked to the leg.
if you just come forward against a thai boxer a front kick will throw you across the ring so you come in moving around not bouncing to land a kick knee elbow or punch and if your not in the mood for a clinch knee but we do move you muppet
