    Tom Collins! Rent! Anyone?

  • she deserved an oscar nomination

  • Marilyn Monroe. The Queen of cinema. I understand this movie wasn't a comedy or a musical yet it goes down on my list as being the best dramatic performaces Marilyn Monroe did on the big screen. I think it was clever how Marilyn disguised her american accent in this movie to make it sound more broader. Well done.

  • THEBESTTTTT!!!!!Never dies

  • Hard to believe a room full of men would ignore the likes of her on a stage. She's a knockout!

  • RIP Marilyn. 49 years have passed and there has been no one to come close to you. All you pretenders - eat your hearts out!

  • wow. she's absolutely stunning.

her breasts are incredible for a

time when every woman was all natural.

  • she deserved an Oscar for this brilliant comedic performance

but she was pro civil rights and a scrapper who always tried to get Hoover's goat

    so he killed her

  • the most retarded actor in Hollywood that couldn't follow the simplest set directions was Spencer Tracy

he was an FBI collaborator, so directors had to cast him, or else

  • I use to watch this when I was little <33

  • damnit, why was this put into french

  • Yeah, What he said, Shut the Fv<% Up and Listen to Marilyn!

  • I love Marilyn.

    She will always be amazing.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • She was an amazing actress and comedian! Stardom and her most sexy American woman image tended to cover that up, but if you watch all her movies you'll see.

  • who's the guy??

  • @BelVikk

Don Murray--I was 14 when I saw this and I found him much more interesting naturally than Marilyn (but she's great)

  • As they say, "They don't make them like they used to"!

  • i love how she had to sing bad for the part haha,

  • so innocently bad and inviting. Wow! Didn't know she had so much talent. She's truly exquisite and it's no wonder she'll be loved by all forever.

  • Marilyn Monroe... a real myth, of course she can act, of course she can sing, but... the studio didn't supported her that much at that time, it's a real shame, Marilyn was really overtalented for been an entertainer

    i fuckin' <3 Norma Jean

  • En Francais!!!

  • Omg. She's mesmerizing in this scene. The accent and the whole performance.

  • She was supposed to sing bad.

  • This woman had a perfect figure for a young lady. I myself prefer the boyish hips on a female, like in Kate Perry and Marylin has a more bodied hips but she looks fcking good. I guess it's because she was born with everything else! It's too bad we have to remember her as a blond bombshell cause she was a preety gal and was a star attraction in any movie starred in. I have to wonder where she was in her life to have taken her own life....I do still believe she wasn't in on it alone!& thx

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ she actually does wear a corsett....

  • audrey and marilin the best!!!!!!!!

  • She sang badly, but who cares? :)

  • @TimaoTexas2008 That's on purpose !

  • @TimaoTexas2008 That's on purpose ! Read the comment of katydid41 !

  • @TimaoTexas2008 THe point of the movie and this scene is that Cherie has no talent, which makes her dreams of being a movie star so sad. In real ife, MM had a terrific voice. She sang in most of her movies, in fact.

  • @waif55 Yes, I know. Actually my favorite is in the movie " Let's make love" when she sang the Cole Porter's song: " My Heart belongs to Daddy!

    Love it!!!

  • Comment removed

  • check her songs in my channel and comment please. :) FOR FANS.

  • She does bad so well.

  • This might be her best scene in any movie.

  • Marilyn is singing here. Her accent and clumsy delivery are deliberate; that's how she's portraying this character--and beautifully. I remember as a child being impressed at how vulnerable she was here. Such a shame she left us so early.

  • A 1956 movie

  • Is that Marilyn singing or did they get someone else to sing that song Marilyn had a beautiful/perfect voice

  • I love this scene It I'm never tired of it. Don Murray did an incredible job in this movie. I love how he charged through the door and then found his angel.

  • brillant!!

  • i love this movie it is so funny. Marilyn i just adorable

  • I love her period, but esp her performance in this movie, she worked so hard and was incredible. "Better Marlilyn Late than no Marilyn at all."

  • Marilyn embodied Art , she saw her face as a tool in which to express it. Her close-ups in this film are breathtaking, although she inhabits Cherie in the film , watch her take instances to "do Marilyn" 3:10 your lips meet mine. Her head is thrown back (something supernaturally beautiful with her head at angle), the voice softens , goes back on pitch then its back to Cherie.

  • And of course, we know Marilyn was playing a girl with no talent here. In reality, she sang very well. Irving Berlin and Cole Porter both loved the way she sang their songs. It's not easy to sing badly when you actually have singing talent. She was so much more talented than even she realized.

  • the most brilliant performance. hilarious and subtle at the same time. a mastered appalachian dialect from a totally gorgeous sweetheart.

  • What an amazing actress. <3

  • Brilliant. I LOVE it when she hits the light switch with her foot. She's a genius. HIlarious, touching and gorgeous. [She's singing "live." The director, Joshua Logan, didn't want her to have to worry about lip synching to a track. The musicians are really playing and she's really singing.]

  • lol was not expecting the dubbing!

  • 3:22

  • Marilyn sings here deliberately slightly off-key but with a big heart and lightly. She knew how characterize the characters that she played.Very great actress

  • Sexy, adorable and funny!

    Marilyn was pure magic.

  • "IS", please ;)

  • whatever. tomato, tomahto.

  • wtf? :/

  • The goddess!

  • auch my ears! LOVE her shes so funny.

  • Her performance is so brilliant in this because she had more control over the picture. She chose the costume she wore and the way her makeup was done etc. Her acting is brill in this movie, she had more talent than she was credited for :(

    I love marilyn! ^-^

  • @theclomo69 yes she chose an old costume from the 20th century fox's wardrobe dept , then ripped the stockings deliberatly. She worked closely with Milton Green to get the look she wanted .The white skin and rosey blonde hair.

  • @theclomo69 Yes, I agree with you about her under estimated talent. She had extraordinary comic timing esp in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and How to Marry a Millionaire and Some Like it Hot.;and though not a trained dancer this girl could move with grace and musicality. And brother! could she sell a song!!! cuz she could sing from the heart. This performance here where she intentionally plays a NO TALENT performer is really adorable and very brave. Nobody like her before or since. Miss her!

  • love 3.26

  • she was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actrress, Comedy/Musical in this movie...

the critics hailed her performance... they were astonished!!!

  • @DonLouiVer

really? wow I didnt know that.....

Im reading the lastest book on her By Randy Taraborrelli. ( a few never before seen photos in it)

  • Marilyn could act. Marvelous Marilyn.

  • I crack up everytime I see this, she's brilliant. Actually, I'm laughing so much, my face is hurting.

  • The POINT of the movie and this song is that Cherie has no talent--that's why her aspirations to go to Hollywood are so comic(tragic) If you see her other movies she sang very well indeed.

  • what kinda question is that?

  • grow up!

  • In Bus Stop,Marilyn plays the part of" Chérie" a lost talentless chantoose , deaming of Hollywood,so she sings OUT of the tune ON PURPOSE.Nevertheless, she is great during the song, because it's Marilyn 's black magic.

  • She sings out of tune on purpose for this film.

  • Oh. Lol.

  • She s got soo much this south accent. Great job Norma ;-)

  • She is just fantastic in this movie

  • I love it when she turns the light on, it looks so cool. She's such a sweetie in this film!

  • One of my favourite parts. She's so sweet! :)

  • One of my favorite Marilyn Monroe films! Thanks for posting.

  • śliczny film .....
