@PokemonGod93 If you watch the whole party scene from the beginning, you see the band playing a spooky medley, including "Witchcraft" and "I Put a Spell On You". Winnifred watches the guy for a while, learns the song. Plus magic. Yeah, it's not a very good explanation, but it's the one the movie gives. I'm not complaining though. Bette Midler singing people to death is worth a plot hole or two!

I just thought about why. Most of their newer movies are animated and even then, they are mostly computer animated and the human movies have lost their innocents where it's mostly about young 13 -15 year old girls "falling in love." Something that was few and far between when we were younger. School, Family, and Self love was most important then. Now we target kids for high fashion and young love. Even many of their human movies are somewhat animated and high def and all that stuff.

Usually that happens around age 21 for Disney stars and that's just it. What type of career path does a 16 year old want that requires pole dancing, booty shorts, and stiletto heels. Quite frankly, she looked like a hooker. Granted, I know what you're staying and many disney stars play the "grown up" card when they want to branch off from Disney, but 99.9% of the time, they're actually grown up before they take that plunge. At least 20 years old. Mostly over 21.

I think she's just trying to find her musical direction, this seems to be following in the direction of Britney who too was a disney kid. She's been forced to grow up fast by the press who stalk her every movement.

She'd do better taking a few years off to grow up before trying to make her stamp on music in my opinion. Then again, she made 40 million last year so she must know what she's doing

No one said she didn't. What she IS doing, if or not she knows it, is improperly influencing her tween followers. Far too many children walk around half naked right next to their parents and it annoys the hell out of me. Britney was not a "Disney" kid in the same sense. Britney was a "disney" kid in my generation... she fell out of the limelight and came out as and adult. She was 18. She left Disney in 94... These kids are growing WITH Miley and are impressionable. See the difference?

I get where you're coming from but kids aren't that impressionable. Just because they see someone dancing around a pole doesn't mean an entire generation is going to turn into pole dancers. Give them some credit they can see much worse in an instant because of the internet

Don't underestimate kids. By impressionable, I don't mean they'll see Miley and say, "OMG! I totally have to do this now!" - Where parents would hope and expect their 12 year old child to shun the idea of dancing on a pole because face it, most parents don't want strippers for daughters, Miley doing it would give them the perception that it's okay, thus that sense of disgust for that type of behavior that would normally be there wont exist. It's like a child that doesn't fear his parent's rule.
