  • could an airline also order a a380 with 5enginges(last on in the tail). to give a bit more power, so it need less runway?

  • 0:42 Bus was A380! Great video!

  • o_O Singapore Airlines A380 turned and just flew off...

  • I saw 3 of them in 4 minutes :)) watch?v=Q8gWMwXfiM0

  • LHR PLane Spotters PARK

  • Wow, before long the A380's will be all over the place.

  • i see the singapore airlines a380 everyday, twice a day

  • Why do the first A380 take-off at such low speed?

  • @ultimatezero12345 The Airport have short runway!! While A380 take-off to the sky, the speed can reach up to 1020 km/h, 634 mph, 551 knots.

  • hahahahahahahahaha u missed the quantas plane takeoff

  • @Inmyownleague I didn't actually. I just edited the video to see the bank.

  • damn the car and bus were over taking the A380 near the start of take off

  • 0:01 to skip ads

  • a380 is gay

  • I think London has 3

    and sydney has 4

  • @TheDokaDoka London has the QANTAS, Singapore and Emirates A380's as regulars and currently serves the AIRFRANCE A380 until the end of August.

  • lol the cars are going faster than the planes

  • my favorite plane

  • the singapore airlines A380 leaves Sydney for Heathrow @ 4:30 each day. I love seeing them taking off. I can pick them from the sound now...

  • if you come at the right time to YSSY on a saturday morning (thats when i see it, dunno about other times) you can have a qantas, SQ, and emirates A380 all parked at airport at same time. sadly they arent lined up together so no good photo opp... nice to see though!

  • @paulrohr248 **sorry i meant sunday morning**

  • Amazing video A380 King of the skies now we have lost the queen (Concorde) great footage I need to get a good spot like that to film from. I am always worried about stopping near the air port to much security. Can you let me know where it is ok to film from? thanks.

  • The scariest thing about thiws video is when the cars overtake the A380

  • I've always wanted to see Airbus 380 land on Gibraltar Airport. :-)

  • It's such a majestic plane!!

    I agree with easyjet96

  • this is terminal 5 car park? when i went on holiday in may last year i saw singapore a380 take off :)

  • Love to see the 'Roo turning for home...wish I was on board.

  • omg is that pilot blind? speed limit 30!!! :D

  • Q , how airbus 380,s have british airways bought ,, i dont know ,,

  • 12 I think!

  • @mcpcshowcase British Airways have not bought any A380's. But they have ordered Boeing 787-8's and 787-9's

  • @Deltapilot96 BA have ordered A380's. They get their first in 2013. They opted for the A380 instead of the 747-8I.

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD That's now what wikipedia says but Ok

  • @Deltapilot96 Wikipedia does list 12 A380's for BA. If you look at the fleet table you can see the orders recorded. They also have several options too.

  • @mcpcshowcaseHD Sorry, my mistake i missed it in the list :p

  • @mcpcshowcase When will they all be in service ? (all 12 of them)

  • I'm surprised that Airbus made something like the A380. Until now, their planes looked graceful... particularly the A330, I guess that trend is done. :(

  • Well if you think a 747 is graceful be my guest you can go fly in that 40 year old beast.

I'll fly in the king of the skys A380, and you can fly in that tin can 747.

  • Never said I like the 747. I think that hump is hilariously ugly.. in fact I hate almost all double-deck planes. The 777-200LR is the best looking plane in my opinion.

  • @whitireia I don't agree, seriously, call it a gut instinct but from the 1st time i saw the A380 I've just felt there's something not right with that plane. Give me the trusty old 747 anytime!!

  • @MegaGrumpypants Ya man 747 kick that sausage's sorry little butt

  • @MegaGrumpypants well Im sure Airbus have done more homework than your gut.

A380 has been designed for the next 20 - 30 years.

Maybe in 20 years time when you see A380 flying everywhere your gut will change its mind.

  • @MegaGrumpypants

    Nah, Airbus all the way.

  • Can you please tell me when this A380's on are the Tarmac, I might go to Heathrow in a month or so

  • there a 380 today departing from runway

    9R at 2.35

  • fantastic video !!!

    5 stars !!!

  • Avaition is one of the greatest things EVER!! Flying takes us some were we were never ment to be. avaition is the best thing ever

  • To: easyjet96

Thank You for your ideas!! :)

    Just have another question:

*Since the first aeroplane invention by Wright Brothers, human has fly for about 100 years already. In you opinion, what does aviation mean to us, to our society and to the world?

  • Hello, TO APPLESWEETER

sorry i didnt get back sooner :)

avaiation gives us the freedom to cross continents and expierence other civilisations. it is really amazing tat a 560 ton aircraft can lift off from a long strip of tar with ease. Avaiation takes us somewere WE WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE! The world is addicted to avaiation!!

  • To: Easyjet96

Yes, the world is additive to flying. I am, too.

  • why is ur video always SO GREAT!?!?! Man, ur the best man.. best man, best video, best quality, what else? i'm going to rate you a infinity points..

  • Apologies if this has already been asked, but how frequent/rare is this occurance of 3 A380's in an hour?

Please tell me where you took the video, I would like to visit an also do you know the time/day I can see three a380's in an hour!?

    Thank You

  • Hi taifur,

Currently until about July 2009 (owing to a delay in QANTAS getting their 4th) you can see this up to three times a week on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. The Singapore Airlines A380 departs at around 11.50am. The QANTAS one departs at around 12:15pm and the Emirates A380 arrives at around 12:20pm. If you're really lucky the Singapore one will be slightly delayed meaning both the QANTAS and SIA A380 are on the tarmac at the same time as the Emirates arrives.

  • Thanks for the heads up!!

  • taifur continued...

This was filmed outside the Renaissance Hotel on the northern perimeter road because runway 27R was the departing runway that day. The runway varies each week and you can find out which runway will be in use via the Heathrow Airport website.

From June/July 2009 (June was the month QANTAS intended to place their 4th A380 into service) they will be increasing frequency Mon-Fri at least so you can see it up to 5 times per week.

  • taifur continued again...

You should check out my new HD channel "mcpcshowcaseHD" you'll get and even better view of the A380's at Heathrow but in separate videos so far. I intend to visit Heathrow again very soon.

  • Thank you very very much

  • so there are only Three A380's in the world so far? or going to London Heathrow?

  • going to London. operator ae, SIngapore air, Qantas, Emirates and Air France.

  • Heathrow and Kingsford Smith is the only 2 airport that have all three A380s.

  • haha the bus is going faster than the plane :P

nice video of the beautiful a380

  • Lol yeh the cars are beating it :D

  • Wonderful

  • From an operational point of view, how many a380 gates does EGLL have?

  • It's hard to say. Terminal 3,4 and 5 all have A380 gates. I would say they have at least 5 or 6 at the current time.

  • Looks like the bus is going faster than the Singapore A380 at take-off lol.

  • Wow, great video!!

  • im surprised that you only have about 2500 views. this is a great video.

  • Thank you :0)

Have a look at my HD channel too. I have some A380 videos live on their now and the detail is incredible.

  • im fliying with singapore in may and with the a380 and wont be very happy if im waiting over 12 hours for a rescue flight. gotta feel sorry for the passengers its my first time on one and i know how let down they would be.

  • I'm thinking the issue with the QANTAS A380's is relatively minor. It never even made the news over here in the UK despite one being grounded at Heathrow. I'm sure your flight will go ahead without a hitch - have fun onboard!

  • The airline's flagship, the Nancy-Bird Walton, was delayed in Sydney for 19 hours on Saturday, before eventually being cleared to fly to London.

However, on arrival at Heathrow airport it was again found to be leaking fuel and experienced a nose wheel ground steering issue, being declared unserviceable.

  • Qantas was forced to declare one of the aircraft "unserviceable" last night, after scores of passengers had waited more than 12 hours for a fuel leak to be repaired.

  • All three of Qantas's much-hyped A380 aircraft have been grounded over the past four days due to recurring problems with the plane's fuel tank systems.

  • It's a shame this incident happened but QANTAS have done the right thing and grounded the planes until they know their passengers, crew, staff and airplane will be safe when in operation.

From what I have read about this issue it is nothing major and understand that 2 of them are back in service with the 3rd going back into service on 4 March.

It's still a brand new plane and teething problems are bound to happen - as long as these problems aren't ignored everything should work out.

  • my plane took off from that (the 1st plane) runway! (it was an a330 from air mairitius) it looks like you are racing the cars when u take off! lol

  • Great footage! I've only seen the SQ and EK A380's. I film at the same place as you now.

  • Amazing Plane, Amazing Video !

    Where was this taken ?

What runway did it takeoff from ?

    Cheers !

    ;)

  • Hi LimitlessSkys

    Thanks for the comment.

This video was taken outside the Renaissance Hotel off the North Perimeter Road.

The Singapore Airlines A380 is taking off on 27R in a westerly direction. The Emirates A380 is landing on 27L.

You can see the QANTAS A380 taking off on Runway 27R in a separate video on my channel. In this video you can see the QANTAS A380 banking towards a south easterly direction.

This vantage point is close to the official viewing area for the airport.

  • Ohhh kool, Thank you ! :)

Do they have an official viewing area ? =O

    nice vid and cheers !

  • They do but I wouldn't recommend it - particularly in summer. It's outside the Heathrow Academy which again is off the North Perimeter Road about 5 minutes walk east from where this video was taken. It's behind a car park and several trees though. The hotel is the better place to stand in front of.

  • Ohh, kool,

Thank you for the advice !

  • May I Ask You mcpcshowcase! What do you think of Heathrow? I would be thankful if you replied back :)

  • I have a sort of love hate opinion on Heathrow. While I love the fact that there are many aircraft movements throughout the day and a wide range of airlines and aircraft operating from the airport, I hate the relatively inaccessible nature of it for someone like me who wants to film there.

Heathrow has no 'decent' official viewing area. The one they do have is behind a main road, a car park and dozens of trees.

I have managed to establish some really good viewing spots now though.

  • Ok, lol, thanks for the reply, i think that Heathrow is Amazing and Im sure theres One street you can go too view planes, the planes descending towards the runway looks impressive!

  • Thanks to your dedication and vigilance i can watch this at my convenience!

  • Emirates Airlines is the first airline to fly the Airbus a 380 on the transatlantic route from Dubai to New York (JFK) in august 2008 after that it will be Air France than Lufthansa, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Qatar Airways or maybe Etihad Airways will fly the Airbus a 380 on transatlantic route.

  • I never noticed this the first time I watched it but between 1:38 and 1:42 you can make out the huge QANTAS A380 tail in front of the Virgin Atlantic Hanger. It's massive!

  • Can't see it. lol

  • How do you mean?

  • 3 in 1 hour im jealous!

  • If you live near Sydney you'll be able to see three yourself shortly. Singapore Airlines and QANTAS already fly from Sydney and Emirates starts service there in February 2009.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • No worries. Yeah im in melbourne, we get the LA bound Qantas but the Singapore A380 very rarely comes in here. I think only if it can't land in Sydney it ventures out here. Emirates would be great to see love that livery.

  • I managed to get an impressive shot of the Emirates A380 landing at London Heathrow for the very first time. Check it out on my channel. Was so close to it it's unbelievable.

  • you guys outta be happy you can see one in general,

  • I guess you want to see one in the metal so to speak!

  • Im from Melbourne too and by the end of 2009 the Qantas MEL-LAX A380 service will become daily and MEL-SIN-LHR will be 4-times-weekly. Emirates will launch DXB-MEL-AKL service late 2009/ early 2010. SIA will launch daily SIN-MEL A380 service in 2009..

  • Ahh QANTAS, the worlds most experienced airline. Gotta love it! haha im probably a bit bias being Australian but man Love that Kangaroo

  • Well i'm British and love the Kangaroo too. I have a longer video of the QANTAS A380 at Heathrow as well as some videos featuring the QANTAS 747 you should check them out. Thanks for the comment.

  • nice vid man

  • This is a lovely video.

  • Niice, Emirate already had a standing plane on the way to T3, So i knew they would have Airbus a380 in 09

But i had no clue that QANTAS have Airbus ;S xD

  • 2nd plane is B.A. ?

  • The second plane is Emirates. BA do not currently operate the Airbus A380 taking first delivery around 2012. Only Singapore Airlines, Emirates and QANTAS have A380's in service at time of this comment.

  • Many thanks. At first looking the colors of the tail was similar to B.A.

  • COOL VIDEO Mate..very impressive work.

You definitely must be working so hard to please us fans of your channels..from far and wide..all accross the world ae.thanks bro.

  • Nice video!!! in high quality!!! 5* + add in my favourites

  • Good video. 5*

  • 5* Love this footage. Well done

  • great, 5 *

  • I wonder which airline will be the 4th to serve Heathrow with an A380?

  • China Southern I think.

  • @B3TAALPHA 4th would be Air France 5th would be Lufthansa 6th would be Korean Air and 7th would probably be Malaysia Airlines (My favourite)

  • Stunning, quality, footage.

  • Three very beautiful aircraft, all beautifully filmed. Another fantastic addition to your channel. Thank you.
