MAC studio fix sucks.Causes break-out and makes the face so orange. Generally the colour range of MAC is pretty bad. Colorstay is better, really long lasting and never oxidizes or causes breakout (which is a big problem for most oily skin). Cons: dries out too fast during application. Can be solve by applying with a damp synthetic flat top bronzer brush.

i can't believe you wear nw15 and 220 beige. they looks similar on your hand, but when i went to mac to test foundations i was nw15 and in revlon 150 buff is a tiny bit too dark so i have to mix a little 110 ivory or lotion in. if i put on 220 beige i'd look horrible. i have no idea what exactly she put on me, but she said it was nw15 and it was nothing like 220 beige. foundation colors confuse me too much haha.
@pinkshamrock18 Sorry to butt in, but I thought you should know that it depends on which Revlon Colorstay you were looking at. The version for Normal/Dry skin runs a LOT darker than the version for Oily/Combination skins... Perhaps this was why it ran too dark for you? Hope this helps!

personally, at first i liked this foundation i purchased it in buff, its a good pale colour, and ive got a cool yellowy undertone i guess who it was good for colour as it was still very pale :) but it is definatly very cakey and sets too quickly to work with for my liking :/

@anna63rubio this will not make you look oily- it is a very matte foundation. However for breakouts- everyones skin reacts different- you will have to try and see how t works foryou!

@kimyoobin07 yoiu need to wash your face with a good cleaner but I dont have any issues- it just sometimes is hard to remove with a face cloth cleaner!

@laeila08 I would say that when you get hot or rub against your uniform it will still come off- especially if you use a tinted setting powder. It does not usually need to reapply! I hope this helps you!

@samquiambao honestly they are about the same- Revlon can be a bit thicker and MAC can tend to oxidise and turn a bit orange after the day! I like both but I actually think NARS Sheer glow is better than eitehr of these! :o)
@dollymix33 I actually just do small areas at a time on my face and use a buffer brush! If you put it all on at once it is very hard to blend- so just do one area at a time!
@purplehearts23 - it shouldn't. I used to use Mac. It made me breakout and it was sooo orange. I tried rimmel london 16hr and i found it.... less than satisfactory. but revlon evens out redness, hides my acne, scars and pores. light creamy texture and the smell is heaveanly.
@thejoeygenevieve it can feel a bit heavy in the heat of summer- they have a combo and a dry formula- if you are worried about it drying your skin out you can try the formula for dry skin! :o)

I've been keeping up with your foundation reviews...do you still like or use the Revlon CS? And here's something I just discovered, but 11709MAVERICK (from 5/09) has a recommendation for an airless pump bottle she bought on ebay to pour the CS foundation into. Seems like a bargain. I've not purchased from the ebayer (yet!), so I cannot recommend them personally...I just thought the bottle was a perfect solution to an irritation (i.e. pouring the stuff out).
When i use this foundation it doesn't stay long like when i go to "blow my nose" i notice the foundation on the napkin, it says that it wont rub off on anything but it does can you tell me why or am i putting to much foundation on
@chictennisluver LOL, mine too! But I use sunscreen everyday on my face and my hands are washed frequently (the sunscreen on my hands gets washed off), but everyone's different. :)
I love this foundation - I am natural beige too - totally use to just had higher end foundation - so it was a step - but totally in love with this foundation - for some reason I like how thick and goopy it is... I stipple it some days or for lighter days I apply it with a wet cosmetic sponge... thanks for sharing your knowledge!

@chilledXchick The pharmacies in the U.S. have a liberal return/exchange policy. I would say to look into the return policies and see if you can swap it out if you get a color that's not a good match for you.
Personally I find that the Revlon colors run more neutral than pink or yellow. HTH.

Is this a good foundation for taking pictures? Like would I have that white cast effect? If yes can you tell me of a good drugstore and high end foundaion that wont?

@00dRivera you need a foundation that does not have SPF in it- SPF is what causes the white cast!

@kimyoobin07 yoiu need to wash your face with a good cleaner but I dont have any issues- it just sometimes is hard to remove with a face cloth cleaner!

thanks, this helped me.. I've been thinking about finding a new foundation, and it seemed like a toss up between MAC or Revlon color stay.. I have a white uniform and combination skin so i was wondering if this really stays on so I dont have to re apply and if it will stick to my uniform

@laeila08 I would say that when you get hot or rub against your uniform it will still come off- especially if you use a tinted setting powder. It does not usually need to reapply! I hope this helps you!

hey! you're one of my favorite youtube women! so I have a question (: I'm in between this and Studio Fix Fluid. I have money for either one. My skin LOVES MAC & Revlon products. But, I don't know which one would be more worth it! :| I have kind of a pinky tint to some of my skin but majority of my skin is all natural tan. I don't have much discoloration. Help me? (:

@samquiambao honestly they are about the same- Revlon can be a bit thicker and MAC can tend to oxidise and turn a bit orange after the day! I like both but I actually think NARS Sheer glow is better than eitehr of these! :o)

@dollymix33 I actually just do small areas at a time on my face and use a buffer brush! If you put it all on at once it is very hard to blend- so just do one area at a time!

@purplehearts23 no but I used the one for combo oily skin- so that might have helped- but the MAC does break me out after a while!

@purplehearts23 - it shouldn't. I used to use Mac. It made me breakout and it was sooo orange. I tried rimmel london 16hr and i found it.... less than satisfactory. but revlon evens out redness, hides my acne, scars and pores. light creamy texture and the smell is heaveanly.

@thejoeygenevieve it can feel a bit heavy in the heat of summer- they have a combo and a dry formula- if you are worried about it drying your skin out you can try the formula for dry skin! :o)

I've been keeping up with your foundation reviews...do you still like or use the Revlon CS? And here's something I just discovered, but 11709MAVERICK (from 5/09) has a recommendation for an airless pump bottle she bought on ebay to pour the CS foundation into. Seems like a bargain. I've not purchased from the ebayer (yet!), so I cannot recommend them personally...I just thought the bottle was a perfect solution to an irritation (i.e. pouring the stuff out).

When i use this foundation it doesn't stay long like when i go to "blow my nose" i notice the foundation on the napkin, it says that it wont rub off on anything but it does can you tell me why or am i putting to much foundation on

@chictennisluver LOL, mine too! But I use sunscreen everyday on my face and my hands are washed frequently (the sunscreen on my hands gets washed off), but everyone's different. :)

I love this foundation - I am natural beige too - totally use to just had higher end foundation - so it was a step - but totally in love with this foundation - for some reason I like how thick and goopy it is... I stipple it some days or for lighter days I apply it with a wet cosmetic sponge... thanks for sharing your knowledge!

@chilledXchick The pharmacies in the U.S. have a liberal return/exchange policy. I would say to look into the return policies and see if you can swap it out if you get a color that's not a good match for you.
Personally I find that the Revlon colors run more neutral than pink or yellow. HTH.
