I am half Hopi. My mother is full-blooded and married a white man in 1956. I was not raised the Hopi way, and I only know a few words. My grandmother lived on the reservation without electricity or indoor plumbing most of her life. I had the best summers as a child on the reservation. I remember looking up at the stars and being in awe at how many there were as opposed to looking in the night sky in a city. I miss my Hopi grandmother.
I am very happy this content is available . I realize some whites can be disrespectful of such rich and meaningful tradition and spirituality.... but for the few of us who are not disrespectful and desire to have a closer connection to the universe ,I thank you.
- dude you aint th only native here ! im jicarella && puebloo ! this shudnt b on youtube . if people wanna see ' sacred comes from th heart ' they shud qo &&see it . not just on youtube where half of this native stuff shudnt even b here !
I can understand your thoughts about that, but, take me for instance, I can't prove my heritage, and I find that of other people to be amazing. I couldn't travel to ALL the places I want to go (not realistically, anyway). As long as it is respected, then all should be well.
@174basketball Sacred does not me you hide it but it is a scared that comes from their mind and heart and it is so sacred that they share this with the world to enjoy and love. I am Mescalero and I am honor to see this.
@romanobritish I believe the time has come where there's an allowance of truth that needs to clear society's ignorance. Got Piki? Well, some may think otherwise, not breaking from tradition. Just sharing this golden moment captured. Peace to you for your respects for the "sacred".
@dubnoobland I remember my aunt making the blue corn piki with her bare hands on the hot stone. I couldn't believe she never burned her hands. I used to love piki as a child. I gave some to my white friends when I was about ten and they couldn't stand the taste... lol
this is there land why did our ansecstors do such evil to this beautiful people:( we gotta move on love and forgive the evils of the past..this is awesome
Thanks man I should have started my researches a long time ago when I was a Young man. Well at least I started and am seeing things in a whole new way. I will not even kill and ant anymore. lol it has a purpose just like all Humans do.

thank you so much hopi you are not alone you ARE changing the world.
this year i planted 10 000 trees with my friend. in southern ontario, canada.
to curb the slaughter, and hopefully next year we can plant more.
we must plant our future and serve something that will out live us.
like the trees. love and harmony for all
they may cut a few of my saplings down! but many will always go below the radar
love and light illuminate you all!
