On the global warming issue you need only take a look at the hard data coming in on global co2 levels over time, to deny that the levels verses time have not made a large change in a short time perioud is an understatement this change will very likely change the weather norms we are used to and cause weather extremes that occur far more frequenty then in past history the 50 year flood may become a far more frequent event,it can also make huge changes in ocean currents that move global heat.

Only thing I would disagree with Cameron on is global warming. I've noticed in my short 18 years of life that the environment and weather patterns change every year. Lately it seems winters have actually gotten colder. I do however agree that deforestation, pollution, recent technological advances and our unsustainable consumption of resources is very damaging to not only our society but the entire planet.

Having seen first hand what Avatar speaks of symbolicly I can only say to critics to deny what is happening is blind ignorance I get so frustrated trying to explain whats right there if people would only open there eyes, everyone plays the politics card when what we are realy talking about is basic human values that we all seem to turn a blind eye to in this day and age.

I was ready to jump on Cameron for his heavy handed "message", but if his intent was to criticize humanity's entire experience with colonization and imperialism, I'm OK with it.
I guess what ticked me off was the similarity to the US and the Indians (native americans). The other thing I've had a belly full of is the anti-corporate, anti-capitlaist bullshit. Capitalism is a modern miracle that has lifted billions out of poverty. It aint perfect, but is FAR better than the alternatives.

@INDY223 So what's your point? That this condition exists because of capitalism? PROVE IT! Capitalism is a modern miracle; in China alone over the last 20 years over 300 million people have been lifted out of poverty. Without capitalism, the poverty on earth would be exponetially worse. You Leftists childishly demand a perfect world, and wherever imperfection exists you blame America, capitalism, and I guess democracy too. Leftists have no solutions, only utopianist dreams and 24/7 bitching.
