Cute, but seriously, WAAAAY too much use of the crop. Not trying to be mean, but from what the video looks like, you are using it instead of your legs at every possible moment. I'm not trying to be mean, honest, but It's just my opinion. I don't know how hard he is to handle, though, so I can't make too many assumptions.
yeah lol he can be a bit difficult sometimes. he is really stubborn and sometimes gets it in his head not to move. its kinda difficult not to use the crop lol but look at my other videos where its much better this is just when he is jumping and he gets a bit scared lol :) xx
yehh we did it on the second part of the double but just on the side he ran out on and he did it after that. actually thats the first video of him jumping :) i was terrified that he was going to try and jump the pole instead :S :P
You need to try and keep him straight when you are jumping doubles. He has amazing jump but I think the reason he kept running out and refusing was becuase you weren't keeping him straight. But he is a lovely horse and I love his canter, so bouncy and rythmetic (I think thats a word lol).
yehh. he used to showjump in holland and he had a bad accident at a double and a scar to prove it :( so thats why we were praticing them and he is terrified of themm. he wears a cherry roller while jumping to try and keep him straight but he just gets really scaredd :( lol he is such a muppet :P x
Aww thats terrible! It's a shame how good horses can get ruined by things like that. Have you tried getting 2 poles and resting them on the jump pole so they sort of make a downwards V shape? It is a very good technique for keeping horses straight but some horses spook at the fact of having two poles raised in the air lol.
Why are you batting your horse ??
