i was given a model vosper many years ago and re did it as a project with 2x direct drive 12v motors, it was nigh on 4 foot long and made of wood, while it would never match the acceleration of this model it did however sound like a ferrari and had a 18" rooster tail. it was only the last 12" of the boat in the water on full power. this vid takes me back to my "more money than brains" days. as the motors were so power hungry it would only last a few minutes... but they were a lot of fun. : )

where does one find a water jet? I make my own hulls and would like to make a racer with jet drive.

Graupner sells model water jet. Mine is with 29mm impeller.

Build from balsa wood with razor blade and epoxy. Just do it and make things simple.
