episode 3 was an abomination. don't be fooled by special effects, episode three ruined whatever good the prequels had, as well as annihilated the continuity of the OT and every expanded Universe work ever made. If you aren't blinded by shock at the visuals or how different it was from the others, you'll see that not only was it the worst star wars movie ever made, but one of the worst movies ever made.

what plot? anakin goes dark and the empire rises? that's the only plot it had, and that's the plot we all knew it would have so it's not like it could have suprised you. That plot should have been spread through the whole trilogy. Packing it into one movie ruined it. It was rushed to the point of absurdity, with anakin going from hero to child murderer in about two seconds and for no reason other than what looked like pms. It actually had WORSE acting than AotC.

vader is now far less the iconic villain AND far less the tragic hero. His few hints of humanity in the OT worked. He was a once good man who fell into deep but real evil and was redeemed by his son. Now he's just some emo kid on a permanent temper tantrum. there's a lot to be said for subtlety

Grievous was ruined, being reduced to Cobra Comander level of cackling corniness. Anakin looked about as concerned about killing dooku as i do about whether or not i want fries with that. I could go on
