  • Reading the comments on YouTube videos like this makes me feel like the smartest guy on the Internet.

  • So... if you wanna go one direction, you need to stop looking at the screen? How handy!

  • @fackinglollig We had both "eye look" mode and "head turn" mode. In head turn mode you could keep your eyes locked on the screen and turn your hear. (head turn left = relative eye look right)

  • Fuck this shit... i just wanna get that piece of woman!

  • I just got one question, How the hell did you just make mario run to jump loong distances???

Awesome device but i think the person that uses it, needs a lot of practice, it looks easy but it shouldnt be.

*suscribed* thanks to for the video

  • 1:31 XD

"DADA dada dada dada // DADA dada dada dada // "

  • I'd would LMAO if they tried to play Sliversurfer with that tech.

  • i broke all my bones xd

  • what are the start/select/a/b buttons? You'd need those in a couple games

  • AWESOME :D

  • 2:03 mario turns back before his head does

  • How do you push "B" to run?

  • Cool!! They should make a game system for that!!

  • @zombadude No they shouldn't. I can only imagine the eye stress problems it would create.

  • They should've done this on a wii!

  • thats retarded, controllers are better, at least when u get angry u have something to break

  • do paraplegics or quadraplegics have this system????????????

  • молодцы)

  • Best part is 1:34min !!!!

  • clearly fake

  • WHY YOU PUT A CONTROLLER ON THE NINTENDO ?!?!?!??!

    FAKE FUCKING DUDES :@

  • 1:34 epicness

  • aren't you tired to play the game in such a way? I wanna kill myself for using this. haha. anyway, it's all for fun!

  • this is a custom darrRRRrrta card

  • I really hope you have a surge protector.

  • SO SMART

  • That's pretty fucking awesome.

  • It makes me look like an idiot when I am playing the games...ha~ha~

  • I like it, but the sensors you stick on the face must be isolated for over 2kV. This is Product safety. Even another visual optical interface for assurance, Wireless would be best. I do not want to be zapped when playing mario.

  • AAAAAh thats awesome Carter and Hunter. Very cool stuff. Can't wait to see ya for turkey day.

  • @game881

    You Fail.

    Take a look again.

  • a lot better than power glove!!

  • You could do so many more useful things with this setup and they play NES... And they don't even use an emulator...

  • fake and gay

  • Holy cow, I know the blonde, but I do not know from what?? Congrats...since I know you some way. If you see this comment...please tell me where I know you from.

  • get lost uuu nerdies

  • @jubinjibin

    fail troll is fail.

  • this would work better with a game that has a static screen and then the character moves with your eyes. it seems you need to look away from the screen when you jump, and move your head to move mario. better if the character went where you looked...

  • Don´t waste your time, kinetic rules

  • Things I learned from this video:

There is an electrical potential across my eye.

    Labview!!

  • nyc work....cool

  • I like how he sticks in the Mario 2 cart and they end up playing the original anyway...

  • you people posting here are missing the point of this project. This is not a project to market this to dimbulbs who sit on their couches playing Mario Brothers! This is research and development. Who knows what is down the road when they keep researching this type of thing?

  • cool

  • this is so stupid, that guy looks like an idiot when playing.

  • why not just move your head back and forth and up and down and keep your eyes fixed on the screen? Just reverse the sensor.

  • why not just move your head back and forth and up and down and keep your eyes fixed on the screen? Just reverse the sensor.

  • Is that GUI thing LabView?

  • Playing Mario: WITH SCIENCE!

  • vid was alright til the prep yuppie bitch came on

  • Very amazing but Very useless.

  • Are asians permanently jumping? JK

  • Seems like a useless tech. Moreover, the same effect can be achieved simply by using a camera based sensor that tracks the pupil.

  • @YourStrangeWorld They already have stuff like this for quadriplegics. It's actually old tech and kind of cool.

  • chinese people will not be able to play as well.... not fair... meanies....

  • Interesting, but that would be the worst thing in the world to play with!

  • What if I am squinting?

  • can you get mario to run? walking through eight levels (if you don't warp) would be mindnumbingly boring.

  • That looks har.d

  • @brixican06 They already have stuff like this for quadriplegics.

  • i have a bad vision does that matter:P

  • This is for lazy people

  • @woOoOow17 Really you think this takes less concentration than using a controller?

  • does is function when you close your eyes too?

  • @PiratenReport from how they explain hoe it works, i guess it does

  • That looks a lot more frustrating than just not being able to play. If you have to keep taking your eyes off the action, how are you supposed to keep track of what’s happening? I thought it would work more like, tracking where you’re looking on the screen, and just interpolating input based on that. For instance, in order to make Mario run, look at the space a few blocks ahead of him. To jump, glance over his head. That would work without silly wires attached to your face.

  • would be better if the controls were switched, so you can play with moving your head instead of moving your eyes... so when you move your head to the right, your eyes will go left when you still look at the screen...

  • 1:36

  • This is ridiculously awesome. Now we need that guy that completed SMB with a dance mat to master it with this!

  • You guys should make a interactive sex game.. Attach that shit to your dick and then you can... well use your imagination

  • BEHOLD THE POWER OF SCIENCE!

  • @doglovers331 I'd seriously pay to see that lol

  • oh i hope next timer is coming a game that can read our memories,so we can sit on a bed an dont have to make anything hahaha:D:D:D:D:Dnice ideaa

  • BUT DO I NEED GLASSES TO PLAY IT?

  • do u know how bored ud get of that lol

  • id rather play with a control

  • Comment removed

  • why is it that SMB2 is in the console and tv but the actual footage of the gameplay is SMB1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HS science fair projects have come so far

  • how to do it please we need more instruction.

  • holy shit this gonna be next gen game system in anytime!

  • Fail..you guys can't even pass the first level..

  • search elzie bibbs

  • YOU ROCK.

  • how can you fucking watch the game when your blinking and looking all directions?

  • i still like controllers better

  • :24 "as your eye moves..."

    *flicks hair*

  • How lazy can we get? Our thumbs are gonna get fat now!

  • How do you pay attetion to the screen if you move your eyes?

  • holy crap, what next?! using the computer with only our minds?! (that seems impossible tho ROFL)

  • how did he get that mario 2 cart to play mario 1?

  • 2:30, im sure that this Eye mario system wont work with that guy.

  • they should put on dick',,,xD'

  • lol @ 1:35 ...ol skoo cleaning blowing on the tape..LOL...old times and im only 18..smh..i used to do it with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol

  • it messes you up.. cause your lookng at the screen, but you have to move your eyes.

  • The future is now!!

  • Girl not hot enough to pay attention to...zzzz...

  • this technology would be cool for a virtual reality game

  • omg i will buy this if they make this i know it will be hard to play game like this but u will have fun with it

  • dude my face would be dead

  • 3D glasses look retarded enough, ty.

  • @Odenkay LMFAO

  • talk about eye strain...

  • can i attach that shit to my junk for when i watch porn??

  • @flandbird2 how would that work???

  • @Firstmenotyou thats the joke.... thanks for playing

  • @flandbird2 LMAO

  • MD, EE???wat the?

    Fail Tech, Inc.?

  • lol another way to ruin your eyes more with video games

  • as soon as she put that weird looking shit on her face i laughed my ass off

  • NINTENDO should hire you guys after this, very evolutionary, just like nintendo

  • Talkin' bad bout the back of my eye I see... :(

  • oMG! Are you kidding??? Next thing we know people are gona be playing call of duty with their tongues!

  • @TheArtistRickJames That would stop those annoying little kids from talking shit!

  • @Serioselyfunny Exatly! Haha

  • @TheArtistRickJames I don't think tougnes have electrons,so,that seems very unlikely. You didn't listen to anything they said did you?

  • @sonicth3 Haha I heard exactly what they said, my point is, technology is becoming so complex and advancing rapidly these days, I wouldn't be surprised if they were capable of doing something like that.

  • @TheArtistRickJames

Wonderful! then I wouldn't have to listen to them smacktalk.

  • id get so dizzy from this

  • i wish science class was as cool as this

  • as i watched, i noticed that you guys were having a hard time with the controls. this may be because they're not very intuitive and result in looking away from the screen. you can rectify this by inverting the controls and turning your head while still looking at the screen. EX: tilting your head down while keeping your eyes pointed at the TV results in the eyes tilting upward in relation to the electrode readout. i think that this method of control would prove much more intuitive.

  • Well, thats making video games easier.

  • well its nice that this is invented, but im not going to waste my time blinking through mario

  • The innovation is surly awesome. But it is not piratical. Take an example from the demonstration you showed in 2:00 - 2:16, we can see that players always want to "keep an eye" on the screen. When players want to control Mario, he moved his head rather than move his eyeballs. If he moves his eyeballs, he would fail to catch Mario in his eyes. Eventually, he fail to perform some precise moves, like jumping across a gap.

  • that girl reminds me of neighbor which reminds me of my childhood which reminds me of the 90s which makes me nostalgic because the 90s were the best!!!

  • every time you jump you look off the screen.

  • esto es mas trucha q la cresta

  • omg ... play modern warfare with that oO

  • xD the best part is when they're playing.

  • There has been commercial products doing this for a long time, see e.g. the Nia game controller.

  • f u

  • Also, in that comment you posted to my profile, if you really were a "wise" "elder" who knew "how things REALLY work" like you claimed, you would know that (assuming your age is not false like I suspect it is,) being 21 hardly makes you wise, and your cheap methods of intimidation and debate are failing.

  • They use this technology a lot, even when they don't record the eyes' motion. For Band Hero and The Polar Express, there are videos with Taylor Swift and Tom Hanks in their full-body suits with nodes that capture movement. You can even see the 3D environment with their real-life movements on the screen in real-time with such accuracy that there's no way they could fake it that accurately. And even if they could, it'd be a hell of a lot tougher than just doing it the way they say they are.

  • Yea I tried something similar to that in real life. Pretty crazy what people can do now and days

  • Awesome!!! I wanna one of these to use in my Nes!!!! huhuhu!

  • now stick it to your dick and play with erection.

  • I think it might be easier if you didn't have to look away from the screen to move, but rather reversed the directions and move your head while keeping your eyes still. But yeah, this is pretty cool. :D

  • guys there was a demo of this in Austin this week, its notfake i promise, look at there other videos. there not fake, why wold this 1 be

  • didnt he just loaded super mario 2? where did mario 1 come from?

  • So much work was put into this video, to bad it is extremely fake.

  • @misterBasto No it is not fake. They had the demo set up at NI Week in Austin this week. I tried it out and I assure you there is nothing fake about it.

  • @thisisstupiud doesn't convince me, magicians are fake even if they perform right in front you.

  • @misterBasto Wow, how could you think this is fake? You were told someone saw it live AND got to test it. This is far from unbelievable.

Look up "microsoft skinput" on youtube, see if you realize how closed-minded you're being.

  • @SumWunGye I am not wasting my time watching a video showing how closed-minded im being because im not closed minded im open-minded you're the one who is close minded and believe what people tell you is true and believe that this video is showing someone paying Mario with there own eyes.

  • @misterBasto I think you're confusing "closed-mindedness" with "gullibility." Anyways, technology today can definitely do this. I don't see how you're so convinced without -any- research. In the recent movie production of Beowulf, this technology was actually used to make the CGI characters mimic human actions much more detailedly than just body motions. They recorded eyeball movements and incorporated them into the animation. Look it up. You'll be amazed at how many facts you didn't know exist.

  • @SumWunGye movies were always fake, they say they're doing some special effects by using some crazy new concept but really they are lying to suckering you into watching a bad film with fake special effects from a computer, you're the gullible one and if you do your research on the computer you should know most databases are corrupt and lie for commercial use and political propaganda.

  • @misterBasto How do you know?

  • @XblCheeseofdeath2008 Because I know these things and I don't waste my time idolizing Metallica or any other shitty rockband that sold out years ago. I'm a wise old man I've been around the block, even been to nam so don't question how i know things, youngster.

  • @misterBasto really?nam?your probably not a wise old man.you said "nam".its vietnam.you said that to sound cool.your probably the youngster.and if you like any of that new modern crap, your not old.the new crap sucks metallica is pretty good but 80's is the best.

  • @misterBasto Hahahaha, wow, you obviously have NO clue what you're talking about. I think you partially know this, too, so you start talking about anything you can just to distract people's attention from that. Of course, that doesn't work, but you still do it anyway.

And I thought I scared you off with my last comments. I guess I should have realized that people who argue just to argue, no matter how bad they are at it, just don't stop. That, and the fact I didn't post them as a reply. Oh well.

  • @misterBasto So you don't how, You're not old and if your are, congrats on doing research on my profile to see what bands I like, Thats pretty sad, and I knew you would give this type of answer because you cant explain how its fake, nor can you prove it.

  • @XblCheeseofdeath2008 It is fake, i don't care what you believe but it is 100% fake, what have you achieved little man by telling me i cant prove it, i don't want to prove anything to you so fuck off and circle jerk to Lars Ulrich youtube videos. Don't be a fucking smart ass if you don't even what you are trying to accomplish.

  • @misterBasto Yeah even though you're obviously trolling, I'm still gonna put up an argument, You cant prove it, You think its fake and your entitled to your own opinion, and I fucking hate metallicas band members, thanks again for stalking my profile, and I'm not being a smart ass you're just being an ignorant old sad man who can't deal with how technology is changing. Go watch some of that 50gb's of child porn you have on your computer you fool. and you still have yet to provide proof its fake

  • @XblCheeseofdeath2008 You really got stirred over what i said. I have better things to do than to argue with you, considered this your defeat little boy. Get a life, kid.

  • @misterBasto Oh god your stupid, me get a life? laughed at :L anyone who talks like that over the internet has no life. No I won't accept defeat, whenever you reply and I see it I will reply.

  • yeah but i dont wanna close my eyes while playing a game. really really cool thing tho

  • Why did the game cartridge and the splash screen say "Mario 2", yet the actual game they were playing was Mario Brothers 1?

  • @davidstinemetze why does that even matter....

  • 1:33 That's epic

  • Scorch B: That is so cool! I'd buy one... If I had an NES.

  • another device to make gamers fat xD

  • @RMMFX thumbs up for you

  • haha, i remember when you had to blow into the game to have it work

  • what if you want to look down as you jump?

  • thats cool and all but you look like a dumbass while playing :/

  • YES! Now I can look like a bike accident when playing!

  • ESTA HUEVADA NO SIRVE NO SE PUEDE JUGAR COMODAMENTE, PREFIERO UTILIZAR LAS MANOS

  • i think this is more difficult than controls!!!! i like the old way at all.

  • frikismo :D

  • all i heard was, 'chodes on my face'

  • But it's too easy for your eyes to get tired.
