@sam9072000 actually, i met a youtuber.who collect friends that only have moving pics. that person said they were allowed from the beginning when youtube started and ended in 2008 after that time, all the ppl who still lucky to have one been a yt b/t 2005-2008.
@statelessmars That is not the reason because there is some semi nude videos on youtube. They needed to save money on bandwith. It takes up so much information constantly running gifs and if you got a billion people doing it well that cost money. They are cheap and that wasn't necessary.
u can't put it as channel icon, v.v, they dont allow you to do that anymore, but the people that currently have the animated gif icons on there, can keep them, but if they ever put a pic instead of the gif they cannot put the gif back, it does allow it *_*, i dont know why it wont allow it either ._., probrably cause it was laaaaaaaaaagging youtube :D
