this game was released in the golden age of rallies, when the competition was serious, and when there was a lot of cars from a lot of countries... i love cars since i was like 3 years old and mostly tnx to the rally games, im 15 right now, MF nostalgia

Its actually from 1999 - its hidden in size 5 font at the bottom of the instruction manual .... (you can change your unsure description now).... I was playing it when Windows 98 was "new" !!! Why is it that so many people have managed to upload the same video .... I uploaded it in its original .mpg format .... How did you upload it ?

further more bitmap textures of all cars was not archived and placed in ordinary folders. So I did changes to most of my favorite cars that time. My favorite one was Renault Megane (I don't remember why) and I made it look like silver-colored stock one

This game is quite hard. It's a bit like Sega rally, only more realistic, and with better graphics. The AI is very slow and always crashes into corners. It's always good fun though. :)

This game is the sole reason I purposely bought a steering wheel for my old PC (yes, Midi port!). This is rally driving simulator game, not an arcade driving type like Need for Speed or such.

Very good game. Hard also. After I finish Network Q RAC Rally (another one with whom I have unfinished business :D ) I'm going back to this one.

What I like about games such as this and Q RAC Rally is the fact that you drive an entire rally, unlike in Colin McRae Rally (2 & 3 at least) and Richard Burns Rally -- they are very good sims, but do not feature the full scale races.

I loved this rally game when I played it, years ago. It introduced the player into that pure British environment, I played it also to enjoy the landscape. Great selection of cars and tracks to choose from, one of the best. Thanks for posting this intro.

For the guys who have Windows Vista / 7, download Virtual PC 2007 / 2004 and install Windows 98 / 2000 / XP on it, and then install Rally, you can still play it! But be aware! You've got to have installed a lot of RAM to play the game on full resolution and quality!

Great stuff. I always played it on my P2 266 with Geforce 2MX. It ran very well, even tho the processor was at the minimum. reflections were great. Just too bad that it doesn't work very well in XP.

btw, it was far better than IRC (three years earlier), which didn't feature crash models nor nice physics.

Too bad this Rally didn't have a track generator and unlimited oppenents (did it?).

Great graphics (as in effects, not the low-poly models) even for the mid-end PCs back then - it even supported reflections on cars.

I now know what I really liked about the game: its simplicity - it's just your car, the spedometer and the voice-over shouting you mustn't go the wrong way. Especially the last XD

I loved this game...cant remember how many times I've played it...Now that I really want to play it again, I just can't seem to find the neither the cd nor a site from where I can download it...I remember using the Seat Ibiza and the Skoda for snow stages...My cousin used to sit next to me the whole time like a co-driver watching me race coz he was too young to play... :D

i did right click properties and switch to compatibility with other modes but still the music just keeps screwing up. Maybe the game is not meant to be played on xp and vista since its a old game that probably cant support newer operating system

Thats the same thing happening to me. First 1 or 2 races were fine, then all of a sudden the music just screw up. I keep hearing irritating braking sounds and the music is not synchronise with the tyre drift or the engine roar. Hate it..

Try changing to Dolby at the advanced sound settings, it fixed the same problem for me.

Amazing game - I recall getting it free with the computer package back in 2000. It's one of the few games which looks good and handles well on fairly poor computers.

I have it and it;s physics model is quite realistic to those of rallying conditions. Quite fun too. Actually, this title is still selling in Singapore at a price of less than SGD$20. A good offer for a vintage classic game.

Haven't played it, but I heard it truely holds the record in stage length in the rally game subgenre. Nevertheless, that Škoda Felicia and Seat Ibiza is so cute and adorable ! :-D

That was one hell of a game..actual stages..that could be like 28km long..nowadays you can do about 3-4 stages on modern rally games in the same amount of time...BRILLIANT
