It’s unfortunate that many civilians had to die, but it’s not like the Tamil tigers took in consideration the civilians either, when they used their own people as shields, and when they cowardly blew up innocent civilians in the south and slaughtered many more. They will never be a separate homeland for Tamils in Sri lanka, I think we all agree on this. Let’s just work towards a stable future and hopefully never see bloodshed in Sri Lanka again.

@umiester There are a lot of prospering tamils in sri lanka e.g the tamil owned businesses in the south and colombo, jaffna offers the tamil people hope its a pretty developed town, theres a lot of tourists going to that area, Tamils are seeing alot benefits to the end of the war. The tamils need to be a bit more represented in the parliment. Unlike most of you guys I have actually lived and been to sri lanka many times, on my last visit to jaffna in 2010 december, i saw a prospering town.
