He died in 2007 and will truly be missed. He was only 56 yeaqrs old and died from prostrate cancer............... Too this generation who missed this beautiful guy; I was and will always be with him. I am now old in my late 60's and believe me..........This music should still be around but it is not..... So much country done in a studio where you do not even have to sing or write,,,,,,,,,,,,total crap!!!!!! Bless you Dan!

Dan was an incrediblly gifted musician,vocalist and poet...followed him since Homefree....he did amazing music in his early to mid 20's....Homefree/Souvenirs/Captured Angel and Netherlands were masterpieces in my book....all done b/f he was 26-27 yrs old...he played mult. instruments on Netherlands and over dubbed the instrument tracks similar to McCartney's early stuff like Ram.
I always thought of DF as a fine singer and talented songwriter, but I didn't know he could play guitar that well. He was really a first-rate musical talent. I also thought it was kind of cool that he's already playing as he makes his entrance onto the stage. Besides the music, he had a gift for entertaining. Thanks, Dan! Hope I get to see you in person in the next life.
I've just found out about the passing of this man tonight. I'm really saddened by it. He was a great musician, who displayed great musicianship as well as rich intelligence through his music. He will be dearly missed.

I got to see Dan Fogelberg in concert by way of a neighbor who used to work at the Concord Pavilion and got me tickets for it. Great concert and a dynamic performer. Singers like him are rare.
This was recorded on my 29th birthday in 1987and I missed it then but thanks for now I finally get my belated birthday present seeing Dan's performance for September 30th, 2008! Great Song for a birthday present.
Fantastic song, I only heard this for the first time ever last November and couldn't believe it was 25 years old! Sadly 6 weeks later, Dan departed us. I bought his CD and I absolutely love it, this song being my favourite. He left a lasting legacy.

I remember this song well from the early 80's. It came out right after my boyfriend dumped me and still gives my heart a little squeeze.

Dan was an incrediblly gifted musician,vocalist and poet...followed him since Homefree....he did amazing music in his early to mid 20's....Homefree/Souvenirs/Captured Angel and Netherlands were masterpieces in my book....all done b/f he was 26-27 yrs old...he played mult. instruments on Netherlands and over dubbed the instrument tracks similar to McCartney's early stuff like Ram.

I always thought of DF as a fine singer and talented songwriter, but I didn't know he could play guitar that well. He was really a first-rate musical talent. I also thought it was kind of cool that he's already playing as he makes his entrance onto the stage. Besides the music, he had a gift for entertaining. Thanks, Dan! Hope I get to see you in person in the next life.

Fantastic live performance....music the way it should be shown on television....no fringes, just pure musicianship.

I've just found out about the passing of this man tonight. I'm really saddened by it. He was a great musician, who displayed great musicianship as well as rich intelligence through his music. He will be dearly missed.

I seen Dan in concert about a half dozen times over the years with both his band electric and his solo acoustic act. Both were very good shows. I miss Dan Fogleberg but his music will loive on forever. he was a talented and gifted man. may his soul rest in peace ....

I got to see Dan Fogelberg in concert by way of a neighbor who used to work at the Concord Pavilion and got me tickets for it. Great concert and a dynamic performer. Singers like him are rare.

Fantastic song, I only heard this for the first time ever last November and couldn't believe it was 25 years old! Sadly 6 weeks later, Dan departed us. I bought his CD and I absolutely love it, this song being my favourite. He left a lasting legacy.
