  • This track is pure perfection! One of the best pieces of ambient music of all time. I've listened to it countless times over the years, and it hasn't lost any of its magnificence...

Here's to the genius that is Mark Morgan!

  • this track represents all fallout saga.. from 1 to new vegas... sad, tragic and fantastic...

  • Under the heavy grey clouds

With a rifle on her back

    Through deserted wastelands

Walks the death, dressed in black

    She sees the misery weaping

    With eyeballs full of dust

She wants to put them sleeping

In God they no more trust.

  • One word: Childhood...

  • So tempted to reinstall

  • This plays in all sorts of places. And I can't get enough of it.

  • This also plays at Strip North Gate in New Vegas if I'm not mistaken.

  • @lFUCKEDYOURMOM

    And in the Sierra Madre.

  • По сравнению со звуковым сопровождением первых двух частей, саундтрек третьей реально сосёт!

  • @tovarishKlaus Ты прав. Поэтому Я в 2008 просто закинул любимые треки первых частей в Ф3 и ушёл в транс.

    ------------------------------------------

Metallic Monks the best track in whole Fallout series.

  • this was reused in new vegas! it plays around Freeside

  • It's pretty epic.

  • yeah the Air-Raid Siren is kinda Scary!

  • does anybody know where i can download fallout 1 or 2 or even both? or do i have to buy them?. really wanna play these to fully understand the story n fallout world only played 3 n Nv LOve themsoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

  • Comment removed

  • @FamePudding52 he wanted to pirate the game, not find the music.

  • @SuperCasperman You will have to buy them now that most illegal download sites have been shut down, unfortunatly. Steam is offering sales on all Fallouts until Dec 31

  • @SuperCasperman There is a relatively cheap three-pack game set you can buy that includes Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. Wal-Mart sells it. Somewhere in the $10-$20 range, depending on location, and you don't need Steam to install them onto your computer :) .

  • @SuperCasperman if you love F3. 1 and 2 is 100%better ... use bittorrent u can have the game for free in five mins

  • Mark Morgan=Earth God

  • 2 people's heads were crippled, and they have run out of stimpacks and doctors bags, and they dont have enough caps to buy some.

  • i heard this while playin dead money wen it first came out............ sooo worth it. once ma game glitched and i could stil listen 2 wateva radio i wanted :/

  • @ClearBEnyxbox we don't need to know your game glitched

  • this is some very fucking intense shit!!

  • Although I do not believe in such things, in the Book of Revelation, I remember reading about the Last Trumpet being sounded before the end of the world; it said that it sounded like a goat horn being blown, maybe the air raid siren is that horn.

  • @IloveMIT8923 You ask me, the ancients were always prophesying dead-on shit.

  • @Warkando121 Nice personification

  • to me it fits better in the capital wasteland than in fallout new vegas

  • @king433hj Totally agree with you

  • @king433hj Wasn't in the C.W, but yeah, it'd be fitting in those looming, decrepit towers, albeit somewhat off.

  • whenever i hear this i remember hearing it for the first time at lake mead...damn lakelurks had me sprinting.

  • This track worked greatly in New Vegas, it made me quit that crap and install back old Fallout.

  • @WahookaTheGoblinKing New Vegas was a good game, just buggy as hell.

  • @watarimono17 Well pardon me for using a bit harsh words, I mean it could never hold a candle to Fallout 1. Yes it's a solid game. Yes it has tons of bugs, slowmo engine and not really exciting gameplay. But hell no way to even consider it Fallout. Imagine they would conceal the name of the game, and show you a demo. Would you even consider naming it Fallout if it was the first time you see it? I don't think so.

  • @WahookaTheGoblinKing It was made in 1998. I guess you can't appreciate an old game.

  • @SovietMenUnderRedFat It's hard to when something better came along. Like I said to Rez.Templar The old isometric view is annoying and I dislike turn based combat. Besides, I like to take my time and just see what there is to see before deciding to do quests, which you really can't do much of in the originals. So, no I can't appreciate an old game that shows its age. So hate on Beth. if you must, but they really took the torch and ran with it.

  • @ninjast4r I ain't hating on Bethesda, don't say I am. I'm a fan of Fallout 3.

  • @WahookaTheGoblinKing Do you know where I could get the old Fallout 1 and 2?

  • @IloveMIT8923 Fallout 1/2 and tactics are sold on Steam thats where I bought mine since I lost my orignal cds for them :\

  • @Volcanotron Steam kicked me out and now I can't get back on I:3 It sucks

  • @IloveMIT8923 Good Old Games (6$ each), Steam (From Interplay (same price), though I heard about package (F1+2+Tactics) which will come even cheaper.

  • 2 people have been poisoned by radiation

  • If someone ask you "what is fallout", give him this song. Cold shivers in his neck he will feel and end of the world he will see.

  • This song was used in the Lonesome Road trailer :)

  • I love the ghostly air-raid sirens and the morse code sounds. They really make this piece stand out as an exceptional ambient track, especially in New Vegas, surveying the broken vistas of the Mojave Wasteland, under the scorched nuclear sky.

  • @ninjast4r No, no, no. For me they sound REALLY out of place in New Vegas.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar Yeah well implacable fanbase is implacable, I guess.

  • @ninjast4r Hey, what do you mean with that? It does sound out of place. I didn't say I didn't like New Vegas (because I did, and liked it more than Fallout 2 in fact).

  • @ResurrectedTemplar Oh, my mistake. I assumed you were one of those hoidy-toidy No Mutants Allowed purists. Those guys are snobbish assholes about Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

  • @ninjast4r I first played Fallout (as in, original Fallout) in 2008, then played F2, then F3 and FNV. I love all of these. But I fucking hate any game with "Brotherhood of Steel" in the title.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar Who doesn't hate those games? Garbage titles, they are. I actually prefer Bethesda's titles over the originals. The isometric view bothers me, and the games are too stiff. I like to explore and be free to do what I want without time constraints.

  • @ninjast4r Well, AFAIK, Tactics has its small fanbase. But that Xbox game is irredeemable. Good thing Interplay is a zombie of a company and rights belong to Bethesda.

  • @ninjast4r Man, it was only made in 1998. Go easy on it.

  • @SovietMenUnderRedFat yeah sure, but that was about New Vegas and not Fallout 1 :3.

  • download this music on my mp4. looking out the window at night. that's what i see: PEOPLE LIVE IN MUST-SURVIVE TIMES. SEARCHING FOR FOOD AND WATER. HIDING, RUNNING AWAY. GREEN/BLACK, ORANGE/BLACK SKY. ALL CITIES DESTROYED. TESTS OF FRIENDSHIPS, KEEPING YOUR EYES ALL AROUND. NO HOPES FOR BETTER TOMORROW... AND THIS LUCK IF THERE WILL BE POSSIBILITY TO SLEEP WELL AND WAKE UP NEXT DAY.

  • @MiamiHeat1989 I'm not alone ;) ^^

  • this soundtrack is Nuclear !

  • fucking creepy playing fallout: new vegas, this in background gives you feeling of ghost around you

  • @cherrypie341 at night alone

  • For whatever reason, a modder (who puted Starcraft maps into Starcraft 2) choosed this as a background music.

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE BOTH GAMES (I even love Fallout a little bit more) but unfortunatly, this music doesn't mach for SC.

  • fuck your new vegas and f3

  • this creeps me the f*** out 'till this day, maan...

  • What a vibe. You can just feel the silence surrounding you. First heared it in Fallout New Vegas and I just stopped playing and listened to this track, and I was jumped by a Deathclaw :P, I was looking for this for some time and I found it with the help of XtremeItachou User, Thanks so much, downloaded it, have it, infected with it, goind overdose with it, want to die with it, be it...

  • This song gives me a bit "cold" feeling for some reason... :-/

  • holy shit ive been looking all over youtube just for this soundtrack because i keep hearing it while playing new vegas and i always wondered wat song is this and i finally found it thanks to the fallout wiki. yo but this music sounds so creepy sounding that it fits perfectly with the post-apocalypic setting of fallout

  • @MrMousie10 the mp3 file is in the data files of FNV, if you own the pc version that is

  • when you listen to this you can just imagine the terror as all of the nuclear war heads were being launched all across the world and people who never had a spot in a vault could only watch in horror as the world was destroyed around them

  • Oh how I miss Black Isle. Why is it that nowadays all the game soundtracks sound like generic background noise. Mark Morgan really embraced this game and created the perfect soundtrack. He gave this game a soul.

The Soundtrack for Planescape Torment (which was also done by Mark Morgan) is a must hear for all fans of the Fallout OST!

  • This song is also played in Old World Blues-DLC.

  • @Slarto Just when you entered the Sink...

  • I much prefer Fallout 3 over this shit.

  • @FelixTheBarbarian you're a good man, i hope you have a long and happy life :)

  • @FelixTheBarbarian It's okay if you prefer something else, but callinga a perfectly good game shit for no reason isn't logical.

  • Black Isle, god of ambient music

  • Works great in Megaton, PC MASSA RACE

  • National Anthen for Pripyat.

  • what ?

  • @brouterhoodofsteel Anthem*, Pardon. look up the Chernobyl Incident while listenin' to this.

  • aaaa i see. my apologise i completely understand now i did that with the main song for metro 2033 and yer your right this suits it as well

  • @brouterhoodofsteel Huzzah! No Problem-o. and See what i mean? lol The place is Epic with this song.

  • i know chernobyl was a terrible disaster but the city it's self there something beautiful to a deserted city i cant quite put my finger on it and the music makes it grate

  • @brouterhoodofsteel Huzzah! I know whatcha mean. I'd love to do some Airsofting or something in that City due to it's sheer Epicness.

  • yer im thinking of doing that for the first tie for my birthday i hear its cool. but any way yer an airsoft war in side the Chernobyl exclusion zone would be awesome !!!

  • @brouterhoodofsteel Huzzah! That it would be.

  • o yer i have just realised who did we go from fallout 1 soundtrack to airsoft in Chernobyl lol?

  • @brouterhoodofsteel lol That's a Damn Good Question

  • What the hell is that sound at 0:13?

  • its synthetic (from a computer) but it sounds like a cayoty or something with an echo

  • @Temp1261 Radio static.

  • @Temp1261 Dogs yelping in the distance

  • I think its pretty good and gets better as it go.

If you didnt knew it was the main theme for the BoS like i did and heard it in NV it sounds like the echos from the past. Like the echo of the walls, rusty metals and the computer terminals of those who died a long time ago are trying to get a glimpse of a call in the present post apocalyptic world to tell something if anything of what they where trying to acomplish before the nuclear heads fell and took almost everything away.

  • Isnt this music at the entrance to the strip in new vegas?

  • @blocklandbuilder Yep this is the tune for Freeside. It was originally in Fallout 1 I love the fact that it came back for New Vegas.

  • yer same !!!!

  • Would have been funnier if it had been called "Metallic Monkeys"

    Epic song nonetheless.

  • yer 1950's post apocoliptia o wait matallic monkeys WTF ? hahahaha

  • Even better with headphones

  • 0 dislikes, that means something...

  • @Melsoooon ...... oops

  • Man this is some awsome composed music!

  • War alarm at 0:05 ... For me one of the creepiest sounds in the world.

  • @KillcumShot

Just a head up: Its an air raid siren.

  • brings back a whole lot of memories. evocative as hell.

btw, check out mark morgan's soundtrack for zork: nemesis.

  • from which location this track comes from? I thought it's a new one o.O so now it always reminds me the premises of New Vegas :D

  • reminds me of freeside

  • fallout 1 and 2 have the best sountrack

  • Such a forlorn, but beautiful piece.

  • In my opinion, the best track from the whole game.

BoS is my favorite faction, so when entering their bunker for the first time I was already excited, but when greeted by this music I was like "OMG !" instant ejaculation. Sound weird I know, but no words can describe the awesomeness.

  • If they make fallout 4 these are some of the tracks they should put in

    1: junktown (fallout 1)

2: kissto build a dream on (pipboy raido)

3: i dont want 2 set the world on fire (pipboy raido)

    4:blue moon (pipboy raido)

    5:mabye (pipboy raido)

6: city of the dead (fallout 1)

7: vault 13 (fallout1) thumbs up if you agree! :D and they should

also make it in new york with little plant life and the bos in fallout 4 should have t51b

  • You know, i havent even played FO1 nor FO2 (Currently downloading) But this music... it takes me to another WORLD is like when you smell something then it brings you memories that are more than memories they are like the "weather" or "atmosphere" you felt back then is something i feel is like the perception i have in that second which makes me feel sometimes funny but always different that other times. I dont know is weird and hard to explain but it happens to me.

  • @olaokolaok Great games FO1 and FO2, enjoy them well. It's never as sweet as the first time when you play them. :P

  • Yeah, this song was...strange with the setting. It kinda made me fearfull of what lied ahead in the compound.

  • Fallout,Fallout never changes,UNLESS ITS PURELY DEVELOPED ONLY BY BETHESDA OF COURSE!

  • The sound of sirens puts me into the moment the bombs fell. I hear them and i know: this is the end of the world. Damn, and I'm not in a vault. Could it get even better?

  • this song is in fallout new vegas

  • @bigblockelectra

yea its nice thats its in NV

but i cant beilve they dont have mabye or i dont want to set the world on fire on the raido!

they should have added more fo1 ambient track BUT at the same time keep music from Fallout 3 raido

i will admit the ambient in fallout3 sux

  • @bigblockelectra

i like how they have it played for the most part

  • @bigblockelectra

I know, Obsidian used a few of the original Fallout songs in New Vegas.

  • @bigblockelectra How dare you mention that trash on my Fallout video.

  • @39jthm they are all good

  • @bigblockelectra Some are great. Some are playable. They are all good. But some destroy others royally.

F1 being the pinnacle of the Fallout Franchise. And Brotherhood of Steel being shit.

  • @bigblockelectra Freeside at night? Then yes, it is

  • @NinjaBeatle And in the sink in the old world blues add on.

  • I never played this, but the music is simply amazing

  • @mercury64

buy it right now and play it. you will regret nothing.

  • Haunting, truly and Undeniably haunting.

  • Awesome but Fallout 2 was better

  • Mark Morgan

  • Its an amazing tune ! Its really refreshing memories for the most epic game in the world !!

  • This comes to my mind whenever i think about Fallout. Pure epic

  • Has anyone ever translated the Morse Code in this?

  • @SwordStriker

I wish I know morse code. would love to know what it was saying.

  • @AlidarJarok1

    It translates to, "S.O.S."

  • Yeah metallic monks, the greatest Fallout ingame music imho.

I remember when entering BoS Compound !

Just listen to the music and let it affect you, this is Fallout !

  • @Ambush911 Yeah and i reckon it goes good with the Securitron's radio chatter. Sounds awesome.

  • @Ambush911 Ive felt the same when i entered the map in my car. I just love that - maybe - 1 minute song.
