i was looking for this song for over 10 (!) years. as a 6 year old boy or so...this was the most seen movie by me and my little sister (now she's 28 *g*)

i was ordering the goonies OST at several local music record stores. but unfortunately none of them could get me that cd back then. well, napster or audio galaxy (can't remember which one it was) just made my day in '96! still brings back great memories :) love all about this movie :)

I was lucky enuff to grow up back in the 80's when all this teriffic music was being played regularly on the radio. Music wise, we Gen X'ers didn't realize how good we had it back then. The big thing about the 80s was synth.. it was the first time these 'computerized' sounds could be done and people geeked out on creating tons of different new sounds with it so it was different than the plastic homoginized mass produced BS you sometimes get these days. Also, it is political, but in the 80s alot of Americans were happy, proud and optimisitc and as such alot of the mustic of the time comes across as positive and fun.

When I was a kid I loved this video. Now I think it's kinda stupid but still fun! Cyndi Lauper is a true artist. She is a good singer and very different! I only wish artists today were this original! If you have noticed, almost everyone has been imitated. Not Cyndi. That's how you know an artist is truly original. No one can immitate them. She is one of a kind and there will never be another like her.
