  • How come everybody wants to be the Americans? Do the Americans want to be Poles? Give 'em some horses and wagons. And a lance to poke in the dupa.

  • Skąd wzięliście Shermana w Polsce? xD

  • @zumomomoponyo Cast? Do you mean thickness, it was 55mm in the early parts of the war then they buffed it up to 75 or 76mm.

  • Little Richard was a rock star in the 50's not the 40's you ignorant goyim twat.

  • no proszę :)

  • Kelly's Heroes lol

  • woow, how did u get a chance like this, u guys look like ww2 veterens lol

  • Best tank in the world. Might of not had the strongest gun, but it sure the hell was classy.

  • Cool!...thanks for keeping the memory alive!!

  • Was this for a film?

  • awsome video, greetings from turk reenactors! :) (101st airborne)

  • Nice footage bigredpondpoland. You can see two Sherman's I filmed last week in the video "Military and Flying Machines 2011 - On the Ground" on my youtube channel.

  • i love sherman

  • thislook like a grizzly to me the tracks are not the same a a sherman?

  • @madscotsman65 This is the early made sherman

  • @fox100cool m4 sherman.

  • Skąd wy macie to wszystko ? :P

  • get off him it will die hehe

  • That's a pretty early sherman with the cast iron hul...

  • your missing the germans running away

  • I want one!!!!!

  • that tank shown here is not a sherman it is a WW2 grizzly made in canada at the montreal locamotive works

  • Ooo...

  • oh great... just like the tankers.... comin' late and taking all the credit. ;)

  • nevermind i found it and i completely agree with blownglasslide you should so name that beautiful tank "Miss Molly" ;D !!

  • whats the first song at the very beginning?

  • wasnt the sherman designed in the 30s? i think it was more of an infantry support weapon and wasnt designed to take on tigers etc. it was easily manufactured and reliable and could overwhelm the enemy by sheer numbers. we did have tank desroyers that could match up with german tanks but they came later in the war.,so for what the sherman did it did well, but to much was expected of it by some leaders and as usual the crews suffered, but the allies had to use the tools that were there at the time.

  • Sherman tanks were called "Ronson lighter" by its crews because they tended to explode and burn when hit and were very "reliable" at that, because they burned at first try

  • @ww2footage

Most tanks had same problem in WW II.

  • the second song that plays is amazing :)))))))

  • them guys are lucky to have one of those things.. thats sick

  • top speed of 1 mph

  • name the tank ugly betty

  • Wouldnt it be fun if sum german fella threw AT nade on its hull? :D

  • Actually it wasn't "Buring-Grave," but in fact it was "Rolling-Grave."

  • @foof811 the sherman was created to fast fire and run not for a face to face engage against an enemy tank. Some of them were lucky on surviving against the jagtigers

  • @Atemerus that still doesn't answer the reason why the armor on it was basically 4 squres of sheetmetal stacked. So the Sherman technically isnt a tank, but more along the lines of an armored car with a cannon.

  • DOES USA USE SHARMAN TODAY???? CRAZY USA. It is old shit.

  • @exceilence Those are reanctors the soviet union used the T 34 into the 70s and the isrealis used upgunned shermans into the 70s nobody uses them today.

  • @exceilence Only in reenactments like this. It was retired sometime in the 50's after the Korean Conflict. There are lots of them still around. I know of two relatively close sitting in front of National Guard Armories as 'yard ornaments'. The one in the video is a fairly early example with the 60 degree glacis plate and three piece transmission cover, but new enough that it has the applique armor on the sides of the hull over the ammo storage areas. Probably built sometime in '43.

  • najnowszy nabytek dla naszej armi z usa

  • i wonder if they got the tank out of the mud :l

  • chuck norris could role it over

  • GRIZZLY! Canadian GRIZZLY!!!

  • i wish i was in poland so i could join you with my 1st division uniform and thompson airsoft.

  • @TheGreendude0 I dont think this is airsoft...

  • @Krieger91 no my thompson is like a replica lol so it would look like their m1 garand, realistic

  • @TheGreendude0 what the hell are you talking about?

  • @Krieger91 lets just drop this subject lol

  • @TheGreendude0 The subject of you thinking these are airsoft guns?

  • Skąd wy wzięliście tego tego misiaczka?

  • That's a Canadian built version of the Sherman known as the Grizzly. Had better treads on it.

  • good music

  • It was more of a moving pill box then tank..I heard that Polish say it piece of shit thats we lost..

  • @spacecop67

The Sherman fared much better in the Asian campaigns than in the European. It was a good tank, but the Germans simply had better tanks.

    No i ma ( kompletnie niehistoryczne ) oznaczenia polskiej 1.DPanc... :D

But it's not a Sherman :( In fact it is Grizzly Mk.I, canadian production tank, very similiar to M4A1.

  • Hang on a minute, that soldier has a digital camera!!!!!!!!

  • NO POLAND THIS IS UKRAINE

  • @blobby1972

    no :(

  • @blobby1972 - to Poland!!!!

  • @Voinar010 And your point IS ?

  • @blobby1972 My point is, that you should write Poland, not poland.

  • @Voinar010 Oh I see you are one of those people ,well done I stand corected or is it corrected oh well I'm sure you will put me right .thanks chum or is it chumb oh well what ever.thankyou.

  • this video is funny

  • this is ( beatle )volks wagon

  • a fun video this! we have a knocked out Sherman here at the arsenal display...it was knocked out during the Battle of the Bulge in WW2...:)))))

  • Nice one.. Thanks for sharing!! :)

  • wariaci :)

  • the first music, without the singer, was used in Billy Elliott movie :) I am back just to watch and listen again :)

  • Man Patton picked a good tank :)

  • I give the Yank somthing... they built sexy tanks.

  • You guys should totally name the tank "Miss Molly" :)

  • The sherman was available when needed and did a fine job. Patton believed in the sherman and did a lot of damage with it.

  • sanitariusz to baba!!!

  • How did this great veteran end up in Poland?

I would dearly love to own an M4A1.

  • @GhostofCicero Ever heard of 1st Polish Armoured Division in the Western Front? It was equipped mainly with the Sherman tanks.

  • @Yagyu900 Shermans were named after a cigerate lighter by the Germans,im trying to think what the name was Crom something..Gas engines they woulod go up instantly if the gas tank was peirced..Pershing with the 90mm was the first real American tank.

  • @spacecop67

It was ammo what cooked of. Germans tanks burned too when they got hit..

  • @MokomaSusi Thats one of the drills you practise as Tanker...Nomacs suits wiil give you few seconds but im trying to remeber the command for exited a burning or possible expolsion thats after the Hallon has sucked the oxygen out of your lungs and you havent injected your self with ATROPEN....BAIL OUT!!!!!!! NO NO its !@@#$#*&&%)(* OUT!!!!

  • @spacecop67 The British called it the "Ronson," after the cigarette lighter with the slogan "Lights up the first time, every time!" Polish tankers referred to it as "The Burning Grave."

  • i want a sherman now! x)

  • M10 Tank destroyers and Hellcats where poorly armored...

  • @ggeeiirr1100 They weren't supposed to be heavily armored. The Hellcat was the fastest major armored vehicle in use.

  • @iowa61 Yeah I know, I wasn't making that an alone statement. I was replying to another comment.

  • @ggeeiirr1100 M18's didnt need heavy armor. They were an ambush weapon that used high firepower and the sn speed to escape. Its speed was its greatest asset. With more armor, you compromise your speed.

  • @ggeeiirr1100 like the sherman wasn't

  • ....until the M10 tank destroyer came into the picture....the allied finally had something to deal with these beasts roaming around the battle fields of europe..

  • Were the Drive Sprockets on this particular Sherman replaced from another Tank, because its totally different from the other Shermans Ive seen?

  • Haha, looks like fun 8D (and good pick in music)!

  • Gawd with that crazy yank music I was expecting to see some pole dancing.

  • Why didnt the yanks build better tanks than this ugly cooky box...

take one tiger against 10 shermans...

  • And the English had what type of tanks to go against the Tigers?? And the Russians and little T-5's or whatever they were called?

  • Untill late 1944 the allies had no real tiger killer, only tactics to take out a tiger or panther by sacrificing shermans to lure out german tanks and have a firefly take them out. Then te Comet arrived wich could take head on anything the germans had.

  • they kept using the sherman because it was easty to manufacture and they could do that in large numbers

  • Over 40000 Sherman tanks produced by the end of the war!!!! You can't even compare that with the few thousand Tigers or Panthers the Germans were able to produce. The only tank that compares is the T-34 and it completely outclasses the Sherman in every category......Bloody F*cking Communist!!!

  • "T-34 and it completely outclasses the Sherman in every category.."

    Like in what?

Sherman had better optics for gunner

Shermans armed with "76 mm gun M1" was superior to soviet 76mm and 85mm guns.

Every Sherman had radio. T-34 did get radio for most tanks only in year 1944 when T-34/85 model come out.

Shermans were all around better quality than soviet T-34.

  • You raise a valid point I had not considered when you make refer to the Optics and the Radio in the Sherman Tank :p It's very true that EARLY Soviet Tanks had to rely on flag signaling and sighting down the barrel!!!! However, by the end of 1944 all Soviet T-34 were standardize with fairly decent gun sights and radios. The superiority of the T-34 over the Sherman comes down to the specs.

  • The standard gun of the T-34 far outclassed the standard gun of the Sherman. Indeed, the adapted American version sporting the High Velocity 76mm wasn't much better than the original but the Canadian (& British) Firefly was outfitted with a devastating High Velocity 17 Pounder gun that totally outclasses the T-35. The main armor of the T-34 revolutionized the entire hull design of tnaks thus outclassing the Sherman.

  • The major difference would be that Tanks represent CAVALRY and need to operate as thus. The Sherman was a slow piece of shit that American Tankers called Purple Heart boxes. The T-34 was fast and impartial to the land she traversed. The wider tracks of the T-34 let it blast through conditions in which the Sherman bogged down. The 35Mph of the T-35 topped the 25Mph of the Sherman and most import was the difference in engine. The Standard Sherman had a gasoline engine v.s the Deisel in the T-34.

  • track life was unmatch...UK and US fighter bombers hung around rail heads to slaughter the Rail Marching Panzers ... transmission was a decade ahead of anything in Europe with triple herring bone gears,,,they could really move fast to high speed in a smooth operation...Jumbo carried thicker armor than Tiger and Israeli Shermans ate T-54 and 55 alive..... nice 105 fit on the Sherman the T-34 turret squeezed a 85 mm tops...

  • Sherman was a good tank for peace. T34 was a good tank for the war: (c) Russian tankists who tried it lol ;)

BTW: Russian and German tanks were the best during the war, it's obvious.

  • This tank was greatly used when running over Nazi's and hearing their bones crack underneath.

  • anybody notice around 3:10 the medic was a chick....thats just not right

  • Shermans rule!

  • skad to wytrzasneliscie!

  • Sell some propan TEX.

  • Sharman or better known as ligher , zippo or tommy cooker .... worst tank of all time

  • Just goes to show how much you really know.

  • sweeet shermans could really kick some nazi ass!

  • well yeah.... in a 50:1 ratio :)

  • In Normandy germans didn't get even 1,5 kill ratio againts allied armor... and they were on defensive!

  • in Normandy no tank made it to shore during the charge.

Only after when the beaches have been conquered and the germans were pushed back.

Also they were already low on armor and had no major tanks formations during the first few days.

And wow if Sherman's can prevent 200 000 demoralized, fleeing soldiers with minimum if not non anti-tank eqiupment from getting a 1,5 "kill ratio"

  • Almost all german tanks were on the eastern front, as well as the best german forces.

  • :D:D:D

  • Who knew you had to gas in it?

  • Play Long Tall Sally next!

  • 325th Glider Infantry of the 82nd ABN re-enactor here. A real M4A1, with the Volute suspension and the cast Hull and turret, I am in love <3 Your troops have an excellent appearance as well Nice job.

  • Odlewany pancerz. Mało pali, lepsza widoczność i szybszy.

  • co ty człowieku pier... to Sherman! zajebisty film plus

  • Ale fajnie :)

  • That looks fun!

  • o kim mówisz? o polakach czy o filmie?

  • bull shith

  • pionierpit0 - Get a life you fool! Or are you jealous that you aren't having as much fun as these blokes? Great effort you blokes - you look great!!

  • awsomes

  • Great to see that these war changing old tanks are still getting around!! Very Bastone looking forest there.... good on you all for getting out there in uniform and re-inacting the battles. 5 stars

  • thats a later versian of the sherman you can tell by the round edges on the body, the early ones were more of a box.

  • isnt it the other way round? they dropped cast hulls in favor of welded as it was faster to produce. Anyway that one is the canadian design (going by the tracks) who mostly used the cast hull. aswell as some british and free french units

  • who is performing 1st soundtrack at the beginning?

  • Thats Little Richard from the mid-1950's

  • great reenactment, maybe only one objection: digital camera display briefly seen in footage (could be easily edited).Great Job.

Is good to see also girls there!

    Al
