I hate it when this plays when i got a huge force that overwhelms any other army on the campaign and im playing on Very hard and as soon as they make contact with the enemy on the field they just flee im like WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@haligast Dude I don't even use guns. They're for pansies that don't know how to use Genoese crossbowmen, which I always used to loftily fantasize about as my crack squad of "assault crossbowmen" when I attacked cities. Obviously, the results were not as good as I hoped.
I HATE horse archers! They come up to your flanks and start picking off your heavy cavalry or infantry. The only way I could deal with them was Longbows and piked defences (If I was playing England). Otherwise I used to use Arcani in Rome and spring a surprise on the bastards!
@NorseCrusader You use two units of cavalry. One as bait and you flank then with the other. Use either very heavy armored cavalry to sustain arrow or too light cheap ones. And ofc have them in loose formation (the bait)

This tune always reminds me of when my general was surrounded by about 70 spearmen and he gave them as much hell as possible, i think he took 42 with him to hell, good effort! hahaha
I love this track because it reminds me of sweeping up the Moors with Spanish Jinetes, blitzkrieg style, following a devastating charge of Feudal/Chivalric Knights.
@Herodriver The style sounds like something you could hear in Kingdom Hearts, especially with the piano. Man, this was probably the most awesome Total War ever. Jeff Van Dyke is an amazing composer. I bet Shimomura got /some/ inspiration from Dyke's creations.

@Dontholdback747 I could never quite use horse archers. My fighting style is either a specific charge area for cavalry because that's where the enemy line will start crackling, some strategy with the ranged infantry then with the other soldiers, or a head-on grinding attack. I never really could use horse archers, but I hope I'll master them, too, when I get Medieval 2 Total War again.

This is totally the music that fits cavalry battles!
Violent heavy charges into the side of the enemy while light cavalry shreds the enemy with arrows!
But also very cool music when defending castles against mongols.
Its a music that tells you to HURRY!
And when defending against mongols, you need lots of infantry and then you REALLY must hurry to do things!
