Looks wise:

Speed3 > STI > Ralliart.

My opinion.

Performance wise: I have only driven the STI and the handling isnt that great on the springs but other then that. Great car. still kinda ugly.

Speeds are fast yes... but only FWD. So reasoning of why I would never get one.

There aren't many attractive hatchbacks left in the world. They keep trying to bring back the "Hot hatch" days, but it just isn't going to happen. All of the performance-minded hatchbacks coming out these days are expensive..That goes against the original "Hot hatch" idea all together.

This is a great looking car. I like it's lines a lot better then the WRX. The WRX looks like someone was drawing and their pencil lead broke when they got past the passenger door.

Those days are gone. You cant just drop a big engine in a hatch put mags , some stripping and a badge any more. The first hot hatch was 9.9seconds 0-60 (golf GTI) anything slower than 8 seconds now a days is a family car. Todays Hot Hatch is all tech and tech cost money.

Definitely, thats why i bought the ralliart over the wrx. I think the hatch would look better if they change the back door to look more like the wrx and the rear lights suck big time.

why would you go for an Evo IX over the ralliart?

My next door neighbor bought an Evo IX a couple of weeks ago. It cost him the same price of a brand New Ralliart Lancer. Personally i think thats silly. The Ralliart has the same engine as the EvoX..just smaller turbo and intercooler. And the Ralliart has the same 4wd system as the Evo IX. LSD front and rear with the active centre diff. You would have to be nuts to buy a second hand Evo IX over the ralliart for the money.

for less than $2000 you can give the ralliart at least another 35kw... plus this thing looks way better than the evo ix

The only thing the Evo IX has over the ralliart is a bigger turbo and bigger brakes.

Id go for the Ralliart anyday, and upgrade the turbo and brakes later on when you got the loot. And i think the ralliart looks sexier than the evo ix.

A lot of people dont like the sportback...but i think its ok because its individual, i mean its kind of original. Its something that the the Evo cannot be. I mean the ralliart sedan can look like an Evo. But an Evo cant look like a sportback. Its original i guess

what i dont understand is why there's ignorant people out there stating that this was a 2009 sti hatchback copy. i was already aware of this car in summer of 2006 as a concept car in IAA europe. a time when i was dreaming of having an evo VIII-FQ400 and drooling over the upcomming evo IX mr i saw from sport compact magazine. whoever these morons are dont know shit about cars.

i have no clue what youre talking about. i was stating "months" ago that some poeple think this lancer ralliart hatch is made because of the 2008-2009 sti hatchback. i was saying i already saw this lancer hatchback in 2006 when the latest evo was VIII (8). this car (lancer ralliart hatch) was already being blueprinted back in 2005. so no, its not a copy of the 2008-2009 hatch sti. Plus, this thing looks better.

i think this sportback has aot of potential unlike the previous model. the mitsubishi ralliart line-ups are finally back with 4wd just like back in the early 90's (though it wasnt called ralliart). this car is i believe 240bhp with 4wd and single turbo. i asked mitsubishi motors and they said that the difference between an evo and this one is smaller intercooler and smaller turbo but has the same 4b11 engine. i think this car has good tuning potential.

@DustDevil098 Wow, surprised my comment got this many thumbs up. Lol, me too, I have an Evo X myself, I think over time.. people got used to the Evo Xs more. Evo Xs power better than the 4G63 imo, I got 365AWHP with bolt-ons. Stock motor, injectors, etc.. just bolt-ons. Dyno video's on my channel.
