The way he compares the two is completely illegitimate. Yes, Yugioh monsters would demolish all in Magic IF we mixed the rules of the two. But we can't do that. Why? Because they're two totally seperate rule sets. It's like mixing Monopoly with Chess. You can't do it without creating a complete mess. They are made to be different from eachother (hence the numbers, styles, etc) and comparing them is totally pointless.

Because you have that card, that makes you the best in the game. THATS why Yugioh sucks, it doesn't rely on having 1 creature that makes it the best. Sure there's cards in MtG that are way better than others, but there are answers for them. And simply because you have JMS or BL doesn't mean you'll automatically win, like in yugioh, where if you put Exodia together you automatically win no questions asked.

The main reason that Yu-Gi-Oh cards use such unnecessary, large numbers is that kids like big numbers. You could knock out two zeros from every card in the game and it wouldn't make a difference. Magic is all about skill and strategy while Yu-Gi-Oh is all about who has the biggest monsters.

I played yugioh when the first editions appeared but after some time this game is no longer fun... so I prefered magic. Yugioh is some kind of children toy, like listen to folk music insted of metal ;)

I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh, because from what it sounds like, It takes forever to get started in magic. There are cards in Yu-Gi-Oh that can destroy your opponent in 2 turns. Also, Yu-Gi-Oh! has a lot more cards and strategies then you Magic people go on about. And, Yu-Gi-Oh isn't just about having a huge ass monster....My deck is based on DEFENSE, And a special card called "Wave-Motion Cannon".

magic has different lvls of strength of cards. i don't know where the hell do you think that energy lvls matter. also, you may have a point with you choosing what monsters you can attack with but in magic, its a form of defence. i like to think about it as YOU being able to choose which monsters can BLOCK. btw in magic, you can get stronger card points and stay with them threwout the game, in yo gi oh you have to sacrifice monsters. also, the art for magic is WAY better
