I'm glad to see a good review of this, cause I totally had the same opinion. The only problem is that most musicians can't really do what Reznor has done, because he does bring in enough money to live on even without loads of money from Ghosts and The Slip, whereas a lot wouldn't survive (it is a living after all). Though if bigger bands earning decent amounts cared about their fans so much, they would release the music at fair prices, or for free, as Trent has done.

Diggnation is a podcast if that even registers with you. Yes if you browse tons of sites every day (basically have no other life) everything they talk about is old news to you. But you can download the audio only version for you portable audio player so you have something other than music to listen to while traveling. People have different taste. And Diggnation is very popular so if you feel like bashing it because of that you are a small man indeed.

Diggnation is all over the place regarding this story... the album is 34 dollars AUS in most stores. not US... $34 Aus is about $19-25 US, its completely fine conversion, and the price of most cds in australia($30) im not saying thats right or wrong, its just the price cds have always been. HOWEVER, Trent was pissed that his album was $34 when albums from other artists, for example, Pink, Maroon 5, Christina, ETC ETC pop acts, sell for about $18-23 in HMV/Sanity etc etc. to be continued...
