  • what a great fucking song.. didnt know these guys were still around!

  • 3:21 why does that part sound so familiar to me? I think I've heard that melody before somewhere

  • @Tuttermuts Pirates of the Caribbean. The song they sing "pirates life for me" or whatever its called, follows a very similar scale.

  • @Tuttermuts I can only guess you're referring to the lyrics. It's from Matthew 6:21 and Luke 12:34. Both verses say "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Jesus was talking about tithing on a regular basis. Also talked about in Malachi 3:8. "Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘ In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings."

  • 666 for ever the metal is satan creation /,,/,

  • @MEGAZALOGON

Music is Gods creation and 666 makes a mess of it in his posision. He was kickt his ass out of heaven and now he's thinking that? What a joke man.

  • I look forward to the new album from these guys, I hope they make a tour in Latin America (Costa Rica!), it is difficult but not impossible ;)

  • @ardilladenieve Arro esta caido en pepers o en el domo el chivo.....

  • Needed to hear this oldie!

  • Comment removed

  • does anybody know from which classical track they've taken the intro?

  • Still one of my favorites since the beginning...of all things metal!! If you like this check out Deliverance- Weapons of our Warfare. Still my favorite metal tune to this day. and the video ROCKS!! Desert storm footage. Peace, Love, and heavy Metal Baby!!!!

  • @godlover333 Without Metallica there would not be half the metal today including Tourniquet im not saying you have to like Metallica but at least respect them.

  • christian metal = poor distribution... FACT ... not to mention it's been quite some time since the jesus scene has produced anything nearly so awesome :)

  • @godlover333 they're white metal and metallica dosent suck, metallica is more famous than these guys

  • @xler12 The only reason Metallica is more famous than these guys is because Tourniquet is Christian. I wish people wouldn't call it white metal also. Christian metal is better. It says what they are without hiding it behind the opposite of black. And people who don't know much about metal will interpret it as racism

  • The part from 2:03 reminds me of Mortification - Ancient Prophecy

    Kick ass song

  • @halldan95 ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! did not know that.

  • @berserker213

Not all the solos, he plays about half, the other half are by Bruce Franklin from Trouble... You know? The doom pioneers? Seems Tourniquet have some good friends. lol

  • This band makes Metallica sound like a boy band. Even one of my cousins, a hardcore Metallica fiend, said this band was too hard for him to listen to. I then told him they were a Christian band and he's said nothing bad about Christian metal since!

  • @soldierrulz metallica isn't a band about devils or god. their songs are about a life of s person or social things etc etc

  • @xler12 maybe you need to up your Metallica knowledge. In more than one song, Metallica has degraded God, Christians and Christianity. For instance, the song Leper Messiah is a blatant attack on Christians and Christianity. So is Holier Than Thou and the overly blatant The God That Failed. Know your music, bro.

  • @soldierrulz God that Failed maybe but it's about James' mother not getting medical help because she believed in "faith healing". Leper Messiah is about tele-evangelists that abuse the name of God and also use "faith healing" to make profits. Holier Than Thou is actually based on Matthew 7:1 and is not a blatant attack on Christians, it just sez judgmental people are in no position to judge!

  • @dapianoman76

If anything, I would say that "Jump In The Fire," "Devil's Dance," and "Judas' Kiss" would be more the God degrading songs because they offer Satan as an alternative. The latter one is directed towards musicians that feel like they have to sell their souls to the devil. Read the song descriptions at encycmet.com for more details!

  • @dapianoman76. "broken is the promise, betrayal. The healing hand held back by the deepened nail. Follow the God that failed." That is a direct quote from the song. Don't get me wrong, Musically, Metallica has more talent than 3/4 of the bands in existence. But, they do blatantly attack God and Christians. So what if Hetfield's mom decided to not getting medical help. Isn't it her life and not his?Granted, I do believe in faith healing and have seen it happen with my own eyes. Cont.

  • @soldierrulz dapianoman76 is right... Metallica is not an anti-Christian band, Hetfield lyrics on the songs you(soldierrulz) named or in The God That Failed are about Christian Scientists beliefs in the medical terms... but there's a lot of difference between Christian Scientists and the average Catolic or Evangelic cults. James Hetfield is a Christian(he said that in a lot of interviews and you can also see several Jesus tatoos on him)...

  • @dapianoman76. cont. Now, just what does Metallica say in "Holier Than Thou"? They only use half of the verse, just like all other people do. It says, "Judge not lest ye be judged yourself by which your own measure you shall be judged." In other words, what ever ruler you use to judge people, you'd better be prepared to have the same standards for yourself. In true layman's terms, don't have a double standard. Which, guess what? A lot of people do just that.

  • @soldierrulz True, but that doesn't make "Holier Than Thou" an anti-Christian song. It is obvious that he is talking about some type of authority figures but still. Of course, I understand your point about "Failed" but, just think if you grew up in a "Christian cult" like Christian Scientists are. Your perception of Jesus and God would be remarkably different than that of the average evangelical, especially when you see your mom "live" out her faith by dying! Not justifying it, just stating..

  • @soldierrulz ...facts. In cases of faith healing, I have seen and even experienced healing for myself!!! Praise God! Sometimes that healing comes from medicine, etc. To see a whole religion reject meds as part of healing, and accepting dying as opposed to meds, you would be more likely to sing a line like "healing hand held back...."

It means that Hetfield is more misguided than Satanic!

ABOUT TOURNIQUET THO. This song is one of the most perfect Thrash songs ever written! 'nuff said!

  • @dapianoman76. I have seen both. I've seen a man who goes to my church who was healed of AIDS. Medically confirmed by his doctor. My daughter was healed of major scoliosis when she was just 9 months old. I've also seen people go into surgery to get their healing.

Anyway, Yes, this is one of the best Tourniquet songs ever. My personal fave would actually be "A Dogs Breakfast." I'm certain that one is even faster and harder than this song. That's just my opinion.

  • Most christian metal sucks ass but this kicks ass.

  • @robinzhooded LOL!!!!!!!

  • I was introduced to Tourniquet on this album. Its still my favorite Tourniquet album to date, and they r still one of my all time favorite bands.

  • Every bit as good as Metallica.

  • @iswillstep7 better than metallica IMO. Ted Kirkpatrick plays circles around Lars. I'd put them on par with Megadeth.

  • @berserker213

This is almost a cross between Megadeth and Slayer!

  • Agreed! They are all albums ahead of their time in "terms" of music.

  • @Gallen75 in "terms" of comments, you are very right.

  • How can you possibly have a favourite, they are all so good!!!

  • yes!

  • i got a good idea get an SG and an orange amp and do slow dronnie durdge music and for vocals..... um weird road kill animal noises

  • @lakeforestjoe

    YEAH!!!

    LOL!!

  • Love the blast beats in the chorus :)

And the doom metal riff when you least expect it.

  • @tangalang15 Ted's love of diverse Musical styles shows through, quite plainly!

  • @tangalang15 "Doom Metal riff"...HA-HA-HA...never heard it put that way before...good one bro!!

  • @opie1kanobie doom metal is a kind of metal....

  • @tangalang15 Fully agree brother. Tourniquet rocks.

  • Sick!!! \m/

  • One of the all time GREATS

  • Funny how this is the second Tourniquet video I have seen Evilvengeance666 commenting. Ladies and gents, I believe we have a troll in our midst.

  • @dharvell What's worse than a troll? A stupid troll who couldn't form an original opinion to save their skin. Ladies and gentleman, meet Evilvengeance666.

  • GARBAGE!

  • tourniquet is fucking awesome !!!

  • Man! I loved this album! Thanks for posting this.

  • Only reason they were'nt bigger is because they're a christian band in a genre of music thats market is traditionally anti-christian. Great band, well written songs, excellent musicians all around.

  • @AbbaInTheButt

What do you mean they didn't go anywhere? All the songs have meanings, you just gotta decode it, lol.

  • Awesome song! Ted is my favorite drummer

  • The funny thing, since I known of my evil pride...I don't get goosebumps from this band anymore like I used to when my parents would FORCE me to buy their shit. HAIL SATAN!

  • @Evilvengeance666 Prove Satan even exists.

  • @STRUTTER777U Prove to me that God exists, cause even Satan himself believes in God. AND FUCK YOU NIGGER!

  • @Evilvengeance666 First you bring up Satan, then you fail to prove he exists, and now you resort to cursing and using racist language.

    Are you on crack?

  • @STRUTTER777U Oh and you call yourself Christian? LMFAO!! On what, an ass crack?

  • @Evilvengeance666 How would you know what I call myself?

You still haven't proven that satan even exists.

  • @STRUTTER777U Just like you haven't proven to me that God exists, so get over yourself, cause you're a real loser and a pain in your own ass..Quit spewing your shit.

  • I burned out this cassette tape when I young... awesome stuff.

  • Sounds too much like trapped under ice.

  • @naruto1022 i agree with the solo in the beginning, but thats about it

  • @beepoIIen1,OWNED!

  • @beepoIIen1,I understand what you're BLAH BLAH BLAHB BLAHB BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH DICKHEAD,hahahahaahaha

  • they remind me a lot of Death at times

  • Very cool says I.

  • @Metal8Lover ABSOFUCKINGLUTLY

  • @JordansBeans yes!!

  • Tourniquet and Metallica!

  • LOL,I love these Metallica rip offs,hilarious!!!

  • @BigBozSicenunow are you fucking kidding? Metallica is nothing compared to Tourniquet.

  • @BIasphemer,you fucking dumbcunt, who did this shitty band COPY,Metallica & who is more successful WORLDWIDE,Metallica, get fucked POSER!!

  • @BigBozSicenunow if you genuinely believe they are copying metallica, you are beyond help. do continue speaking out of your ass about topics you apparently know nothing about then

  • @BIasphemer,LOL,I found out about this band through a christian shop,CPM,christian music products & the owmer of the shop had a sign clearly stating that tourniquet is a a METALLICA & SLAYER influented band (which they're).you're fucking dumb,go back 2bed!

  • @BigBozSicenunow uhr... go fucking learn the difference between "influenced by" and "ripoff", and maybe we'll treat you like an adult afterwards. do you think Metallica was a bunch of guys that had never listened to any music of any kind EVER and then just out of nowhere decided to invent metal? nicely done.

  • @BIasphemer,oh fuck, where did you crawl out of,I bet it was a pile of SHIT!

  • @BigBozSicenunow haha that's what i thought. you realized what a retard you are and resorted to aimless badmouthing to draw attention away from it. again, nicely done sir

  • @BIasphemer,LOL,you're the only dumb moron that thinks tourniquet is better than Metallica, fuck off,I haven't got the time to waste with ZEROS like you!

  • Comment removed

  • @BigBozSicenunow haha, good

  • @BIasphemer,yes I am good & you're no good!

  • @BIasphemer

Metallica is an influence, but they are by far better than then. Metallica nowadays makes mediocre garbage while Tourniquet is actually somewhat interesting, fresh, and unique.

  • Great Stuff Indeed. Way ahead of their time. No mindless, sing along bubble gum here. Try, Betrayal "More Faith Than Me" for some more challenging lyrics.

  • Tourniquet...... thinking AND playing music. They aren't usually found together. My faves are the first three. After that Guy Ritter left and Luke showed up. Whole new sound. If you like this, try Betrayal, "More Faith Than Me". More thinkers, and ex-satanists.

  • I love the fact that this was out when master of puppets was out. lol

  • This is are apart of what 'prog' Progressed from...

  • Posers

  • Undoubtedly some of the best thrash metal EVER receorded..legendary!!! Id say this album along with Microscopic View is there best work:)

  • Love this cd bout Tourniquet!

  • Is testament also christian?

  • @100bml nope.. theyre atheists.

  • they are fantastics!

  • solos are so prime, voice interests me too...wasnt it higher at some point?

  • wtf youtube, you messed up the site. thanks

  • Thanks for uploading these ^__^ epic band

  • Best Band ever ! they're big Artists

  • 0:30 it sounds like the solo of Trapped Under Ice of Metallica (Ride The Lighting) q:D

  • I know what songs are on my favorite album thank you very much. haha messin' with you, but seriously, I do.

  • oh wow, i wish i still had this album. brings me back to being 12 years old.

  • I love this album! Its dark and heavy. These guys fucking rock!

  • haven't heard many of the newer albums but my favourite torniquet album is this one

  • Enough with the fruitless debates. Why not debate which is the best Tourniquet album? =b

  • This album

    MVOATR

    psycho surgery

    were mouth and rust destroy

i didnt listened all albums but

im downloading ilegaly hes music :D

  • @Kale1800 you can't debate opinions.. debates are based on facts. Otherwise, they aren't debates, they're arguments.

  • @Kale1800

    Crawl to china

  • @Kale1800 Want to hear funny song title? FORGIVENESS DENIED by AEON...THAT there speaks the goddamn truth!

  • @Kale1800 I agree...Hate anything after this album since it isn't thrash so I would have to say Pathogenic Occular Dissonance....debates on now!!! LOL....best underrated band in christian music

  • @Kale1800 Thrash is all I listen to that's why I say that everything after this album is crap

  • @Kale1800 Sorry I change my mind it's Stop the Bleeding

  • @Kale1800 OK then. I'm not religious at all, but I love some Christian Metal. These guys are the best. followed by Vengeance and Stryper

  • @Vamphetamine christian music is the most segregating term in music.

  • @seanstone07 Probably no more so then 'Black Gospel'.

  • @Kale1800 ...that's fruitless too - it's this one!

  • @Kale1800 Stop the Bleeding is my favorite.

  • @Kale1800 Path is the best! with Microscopic. neck in neck!

  • @Kale1800 which album is best is a bigger flame wars. ALL OF THEM ARE PURE AWESOME !

    case closed.

  • Great CD/band/song.

  • i dont discredit Marty F. ( by the way he's not the smartest ! ) - i discredit you "opinion" : Fried. better then Lenaire and Mendez combined ha ha ha - Friedman is not fart long an Creative player or composer ,just techn. excellent.

  • Miss that thrash metal!

  • The best CLASSIC MUSIC of White metal !

    chers from Brazil

  • @flamepeace its Metal!! Period;0

  • This one and Stop the Bleeding are beyond belief - just discovered them this week and can't stop jamming them. Greatness

  • Their last album was recorded with marty friedman doing some guitar stuff (at least I think it was the last), but don't expect the new stuff to sound anything like this. Both guitarists in this era were able to do killer leads. Gary lenaire and erik mendez. The usual vocalist for the band in this era was guy ritter. You hear him around the 2:50s. The main vocalist in this song was gary lenaire. He did some vocals in the album before this; "psychosurgery." After vanishing lessons... blah.

  • Dude give me a break. Marty Friedman is a better player than Lenaire and Mendez combined. That album is incredible. All of their music catalogue has its own energy and vibe, as well as the mark of genius. People who discredit the work of master artists need to open up.

  • It's all niche, baby. I could give a shit whether Friedman is a better guitarist. I love friedman in megadeth and Mendez/lenaire were rippin' shit up as tourniquet. If Tourniquet was mainstream back then they would have been well-known for supreme baddassness. Oh, and just because friedman has alot of skill doesn't mean he's a better artist. Bob Dillon's a better artist than Marty friedman. If you don't understand that, you need to learn what art is.

  • Yes, it does make him a better artist. Art is what you make it. I believe art should be 80% techincal skill, 20% expression. That's what creates beauty. Beauty can rarely come from simplicity. This is why I hate the Beatles for poisoning the world's view on great art. Same for modern artists. Same for purist cinema. A weak story with great visuals is still standing on bum legs. Some would contend the Beatles were the greatest musical artists in history. I think it is pathetic.

  • You obviously do not understand the meaning of "art." art is 100% expression and nothing less. You can hate the beatles all you want. It doesn't make them less than artists. I am talking about art. Tourniquet was art. Nobody was doing their riffs. Nobody IS doing the riffs that they were doing. Regardless of the Bullshit you wish to spout about what is and isn't art, Tourniquet had their own corner in the "art world" and nobody has driven them away from that corner. That says everything.

  • @zaorulesmetal Lol, The Beatles arn't the greatest musicains but are the greatest song writings. If you can name one non catchy Beatles song then you are fucked.

  • Strawberry Fields or whatever is a stupid song. Pretty much every song they made in their last few albums I hate. The period where they all had long hair and mustaches or beards. Their hippie music is gross and idiotic. I like the old old Beatles stuff from when they first came to the U.S.

  • The Beatles are the greatest song writings? If you have to take english any time soon then you are fucked.

  • sabbath/matallica, I would just call this genre heavy metal.

  • pretty awesome

first solo sounds like ride the lightning era metallica lol which is freakin awesome

  • i can definatly make out the progressive influence

  • Amazing band here no matter their genre.

  • I use to listen to them in my teens!

    Where are they now?

    Good drummer! Ted Kirkpatrick right?

As a drummer I also like Joey Jordison from Slipknot.

  • u can see them in germany..

    4.-6.12.2009 at the ChristmasRockNight!!!!

  • They've made new albums. 2001 was Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm. 2003 brought Where Moth and Rust Destroy. This year will be a new album from them, I'm very excited.

  • Thanks for the info!!

Their old stuff is still better isn't it?

  • Microscopic View is just as intense and epic as their best older material. Moth and Rust is more bare bones metal, not much progressive about that album, but they got Marty Friedman, a recent Christian, to play lead for that album. The solos are some of the most intense I've ever heard.

  • Thanks for the info.

    Marty Friedman from Megadeth......??

    He is christian?

  • Yes, and now he's back with Megadeth, and they're on tour now. (Coming to my town soon, hooray!)

  • sorry, Marty is not back with Megadeth. Chris Broderick is their current lead guitar player. NOt sure if you are mixing it up but Dave Mustaine is a christian now (although Marty could be as well)

  • Oh oops yes I very well could be wrong. Who knows, though, maybe Marty is a Christian, too. Could be why he decided to play on Tourniquet's album (besides being paid, of course). Huh I heard Marty was the one who got Megadeth back together. Oh well. Any news on how Chris Broderick handles Marty's solos?

  • Yea both Microscopic and Moth rock awesome...Praise God!

  • Genre: Christian Neo-classical Progressive Thrash.

    Yeahh...

  • they are not much of prog.

  • They are progressive. They are thrash but they throw some weird stuff in. I don't know how to describe it...

  • @Kale1800 throwing in weird makes like like experimental metal as in avant garde metal like meshuggah etc

  • @nirvanafrik The prog influence is more present in their newer material. Personally I believe they do thrash metal better.

  • @InazawaGroupie Exactly.

  • @nirvanafrik I don't know how involved you are with music as in learning it or stdying the genres but if you get really into music theory you'd see they do some bizzare stuff and the clean vocals also make for a progressive addition. But to someone who doesn't know what makes prog what it is woun't catch it. But I'm extremely involved with music so...idk it may just be 'cuz I kno what to look for in bands that arn't obviously prog.

  • No better way to classify.

  • Christian Thrash!! YES!!!!!!!!

  • God with a capital G that is.

  • thank god for christian metal!!

  • these guys are christian?

  • yes they are i havent read there lirics yet but it seems that they aren't trowing religion in our faces. so im cool with it

  • Don't like the vocals or title; but the band is excellent, and the musical content is good.

  • I think I pretty much figured out that this is probably their heaviest album.

  • It sure is there heaviest & BEST along side "Psycho Surgery"

  • I've heard Psycho Surgery but I think I have to agree with deathmetallerprep.......Pathogenic is definatly their best album.

  • Do you have their debut, Stop The Bleeding?

  • Nope, only this one......got it at the Goodwill store for $3.........I almost didn't get it because I hadn't heard of them, but because of the funny song titles I had to check it out.....glad I did, 2nd favorite album I own.

  • HAHAHA, awesome. And Metallica did sell out in style, you have to admit, their only BAD or HORRIBLE album was St. Anger.

  • Weird yet powerful.

Metallica on a whole bunch of PCP
