I was at my local record store and this was the only vinyl they had of Blut Aus Nord. I'd never listened to this specific album before, so I bought it blindly. That was probably the best decision I EVER made. This album is fucking AMAZING!
Listen to it... Think about your life and ideals. Read Kierkegaard (minus the religious side) and embrace darkness. Light shalt not be seen in a room of white, white can only be seen of its purity in the abyss.
Elevating music that makes you wish for a pair of wings to fly over the empty vastness of our dismal, mortal world, contemplating the meaning of being thrown in such a place... One of the conclusions would be to make this kind of ''bigger than world'' music...
did anyone respond to your question about video of vikernes' court case and/or transcripts? i wonder if we could somehow contact a norwegian librarian or something.

This isn't like their old stuff it seems, I haven't listened too ALL of their old stuff. I liked that doomish feeling, and dark atmosphere the other songs had. This seems more conventional.
Hmm..if you were to argue that the older stuff is more unconventional(btw i just recently discovered them so i don't know them too well)because of the doomish/dark atmosphere..well,i personally don't think conventionality is necessarily the word ur looking for.i wud say they're unconventional because of the sequence and style of riffs, the time signatures and the way everything's tied together, what i love about them.but this album(and this wonderful song)are simply this album, and yes,if u compare
this to their other stuff,it does have a relatively non off-beat timing, which ultimately makes it seem more conventional, but unique..well,whatever i say may be wrong of course or biased, but i have to say that this album touches me in a way which i cannot explain with words, like a strong sense of familiarity intertwined with existance(but no words are suitable),which to me makes it one of those very rare gems as a complete piece of work.incredible..!and this song..impeccable.
This album is actually a return to the sound the band had on their first few albums, the more dark and industrial sounding stuff you are thinking of is their mid period sound and style.
Magnifiqué !

Actually that 'curious feature' is nothing more than a Windows Movie Maker glitch.

Less appealing to me. Less unique.
