Lovely pictures. So many people have spent so much time in the Park, yet I bet all of them -myself included- feel that it spoke something personal to each one. It's changed a great deal, cleared and levelled mostly, but it's still a magical place. You can feel it, any time of year, anywhere from the willow to the woods. Thank you.
Thankyou. I've lived away from Watford for 35 years but I have fond childhood memories of the park. I remember the Whitsun fair, the bandstand and Scout games in Whippendell woods. I particularly remember the gates. Pulling them down was an act of vandalism by the Council - among many acts of vandalism that they have committed in the town.
