Recently we've started shooting with Canon EOS HD DSLR cameras in 1920x1080 at 23.98 (24fps). Sometimes we still shoot HDV 1440x1080 60i. Both formats are 1080p, but look completely different due to the lenses used, the bit-rate and compression type. I recommend the Canon 7D, 1920x1080 at 23.98 - looks the best and is easiest to edit. A good lens is Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, or, for the cheapest DSLR, Canon Rebel T2i (called 550D in Europe). Body and lens $899.

this is great for bombing but im not big on it for anything else. there is a little brown if you dont wait for it to dry and out line it with white, or if it sprays misty. ironlak 400ml black is my favorite for sure
