  • most of you don't know a great song writer when you hear one, listen to Alison Krauss do this song "Stay" enough said!!

  • Oh this is awful singing ear plugs please.

  • name dropper just awful - guitar is out of tune twang twang horrible voice

  • The music business over the past 20 years has just embraced mediocrity. I guess at some point they decided; hey, the singer is monotoned, the band isn't very good, but they do play really fast, so we'll just put it out, and see if it passes for music. Low, and behold the masses embraced crap! I'm not saying their aren't a few really good musicians/bands around these days. But they never get played on the radio. Don't go hating on the music of the 90's; nobody forced you to embraced crap.

  • I read a bumper sticker a while back which I totally related to... It read, "IT'S NOT THAT I'M OLD, YOUR MUSIC REALLY DOES SUCK!!!" It just seems like the quality of the music in the world of what is popular has been in a downward spiral for the past 20 years. I guess this is what happens when you take music programs out of schools.

  • "Lover's in love and the others run away. Lover is crying cuz the other won't stay."

    Great line, great song.

    I want you Lisa

and your guitar skills make's Taylor Swift look like a noob

  • I never grow tired of listening to this.... love it! :)

  • You said that I was naive,

And I thought that I was strong.

I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave."

Oh but now I know that I was wrong, 'cause I missed you.

You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go."

You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'cause you know you're just so scared to lose.

    And you say, "Stay."

You say I only hear what I want to.

    nice lyrics ^_^

  • One of my fave songs.

  • Wish it wouldnt freeze on me one of my favorite songs

  • my fav song

  • one of the best songs of all time...

  • wow she still looks great

  • i got to know her + this song again when she appear on E! reality show which was 06 i think

  • I will always love this song.

  • Ben Stiller?? WTF?

  • is it me or does she look better now then she did in the 90's. simply breathtaking smile. she also sounds better live then she does in the video to this song. i wish i could be the guys she "misses" cause i would treat her, or any girl, right.

  • her voice sounds like taylor swift

  • Magical.

  • Magical.

  • All hail the minor IV chord.

    And songwriters with angel's voices.

  • A skilled musician,.. real and pure :)

  • id still bang her

  • she's Hot as always

  • kind of ironic how the story about Lisa Loeb is similar to the story in Reality Bites, when Ben Stiller gives Winona Ryders documentary to that mtv show, hehe!

  • Before the present day age of crappy female music with their "Iwanna get some" booty bounce dances, there was Lisa Loeb and her song Stay.

Just goes to show you dont need to dress slutty, act slutty and sing slutty songs to become a popstar.

  • Found this because of Charles Hamilton... he sampled this in his song "farewell",

  • Like if you got this from Family guy...

  • THIS IS THE GIRL!!!?? THAT SINGS THIS SONG??????????? HAHAHAHAH OMG THIS SHIT IS EPIC!!!!!!! im sorry not shit.. SONG! ihahaha sorry I LOVE THIS SONG AND I MISS THE 90s sooo BAD!

  • i miss the 90's

  • Simple. Non auto tuned performance with just a guitar and mic and still get a standing ovation, plus great vocals. Fuck auto tune and this techno sampled pop crap coming out of the radio airwaves polluting the minds of young would be artists of the future. I am glad I grew up to great music in the early 90's. Auto tune killed talent. Long live real music.

  • i still love this song.

  • i miss u too 90´s.. best time of my life...^^

  • this was #1 on the billboards the day I was born

  • omg!!brings back memories:(

  • I need to learn this on guitar.

  • I can still remember watching Reality Bites so many years ago. First shock, that Ben Stiller was the director. Second, discovering this song. Some song you hear for the first time, and something explodes inside you as you discover that you are hearing something a rare thing.

  • I heard this song at work didnt no the name never even heard it before i finally found it on google typing in the lyrics I LOVE IT!!!! Its going on my mp3 GREAT JOB ON THIS ONE LISA!!!

  • how come there are people don't like this song!

  • I love this song. I love the lyrics. I love the melody. I just love it! :))

  • Awesome.

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • I miss the 90's :(

  • This song is in a class of it's own.

  • cancel

  • love this song...

  • @3KOBAIN I don't listen hard,

don't pay attention to the distance that you're running

    to anyone, anywhere,

I don't understand if you really care,

I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.

  • it doesn't matter how great or horrible the music was, people that grew up with it are always gonna say, "this is REAL music" albeit The Clash, The Spice Girls, Lisa Loeb or Depeche Mode....most people don't have the ability to distinguish between nostalgic feelings & what's just good, timeless music.

  • @astronautagogo YOUR A FOOL.

  • @astronautagogo I don't know though...I never heard this song when it was originally released, yet I was still nostalgic for the 90s. It's just has a 90s sound that hasn't been reproduced since then, love it.

  • @astronautagogo true dat cuz I seriously doubt mambo No. 5 or the macarena was "real" music lol

  • @astronautagogo Hey but you gotta admit this song was pretty damn good! Songs in the 80s and 90s era were very strong lyrically and vocally compared to the songs we have nowadays. But the beats are better and more exciting here in the 21st century. :)

I still hate Limp Bizkit and Hansons, so I doubt nostalgia played that big a role in determining good music. xD

  • maria fernanda esta cacion tu me enseñaste

  • check out this girl...shes on singsnap.com and she's amazing!!!! search Carla87 under members she's sang this song among others that are wicked!!!

  • WOW! Where the hell am I when stuff like this is goin on??

  • I'd love to be talented like that! And I love this song.

  • I'd love to be talented like that!

  • I'm from another era way back in the 70's and we played blues rock but when this song came out in the nineties Lisa's voice was just so beautiful and the song had so much feeling it truly blew me away (70's term). Have a listen to this live version, she looks like she's playing in a caravan annex. I couldn't believe it IMO the vocal performance actually sounds better than the original. The acoustic is so clean and bright sounding. She was hot then and still is!!!!

  • Where's the granny glasses?

  • I love when I listen to live music now a days, they all sound like they're at a bar singing drunken karaoke but when I listen to music from the 90s and down, it's all real. Times when people actually played music for the simple enjoyment of music and don't just do it for the fame and the money.

  • I love it.... no autotune, just awesome voice :) IM happy that i was born in 1990 :)

  • California ? Damn Too bad it wasn't the Pittsford near Rochester. Hahha .I would a stuck around for another decade -might been in her audience having a great time

  • Classic.

  • black dress with cap-sleeves and a plunging neck-line, just like the official music video. she rules.

  • I love how she doesnt have to dress up. Just be herself

  • I love her

  • 90's rocked more than the 2000's. i need to go back to the 90's......

  • what are the chords she used on "and i thought what i felt was simple..."

  • Very Nice!

  • this is my heart right now

  • Does anyone knows the chords she used in this live? It's way different than the ones I've seen in ultimate-guitar and in the tutorials here. Thanks! :D

  • Wow. One in a thousand singers/bands are as good live as they are recorded. I still have a huge crush on her from the 90's.

  • damn, shes great live, amazing sounds

  • heaven!

    what a talent

have just fallen back in love with this song after many years

    thanks

  • PS: It is such a shame that she came along at the end of gen X, and they stoped playing anything but either bubble gum music, or rap, God bring back 85-95. Lisa would have been as big as any band from that time but she only got big around 96, and right after that year music started taking hugh steps back. I think I am going to go buy this cd.

  • This song came out when I was 19-20 and I sware she is just as hot now as she was then.

  • Very good song, performed perfectly. She's very tallented. Love her to bits.

  • I have a version of this on my channel... check it out and let me know what you think...

    take care!

  • Fantastic.. .wat a nice voice.. i LOVE it.

  • i was inlove this song

  • Amazing. Exactly the same Live as on tape, which is the exact opposite in 99% of today's music.

  • WOW, that was harsh

  • @swimologist8 Well she lives her life the way she wants, and so should you.

  • @swimologist8 And how successful are you? what do you do but spout negative shit like youre some authority on the subject? if you dont like, dont listen! and shove your uninformed opinion in your ass!

  • Lisa Loeb , my honeybunch.

  • amazing!

  • Awesome song..she sonunds as good live as she does on tape

  • ;0XOXOX

  • what a douche

  • wow.. i know this song.. i was like a lil inoccent lad... yup.. way back in the 90's... i love this song...

  • creative woman.

  • were is she now? one hit wonder....thats what you get...when you say bad things about filipinos haha...hail the darkside from alulod....

  • really what did she say?

  • First off - "Where" is the correct spelling. Secondly, she's not a one-hit-wonder. She's actually had quite a few singles over the years that topped the charts. I'm not sure what she's doing now, but she did have a short-lived series on either VH1 or E!, I'm not sure which. Don't take offense to this; I'm not trying to be an asshole.

  • Ah...Lisa...where have you been??? This song is great, going beyond the film that was Reality Bites, to everyday life. That's why we love Lisa! Great vid, showcases her unique voice and again, her moving lyrics, and stripped down vocals.

  • Carmen Muresan I love you xxxxx

  • this is beautiful, never heard it like that.

  • What a story. What a song!

    Encouraging for us aspiring artists!

  • miss 90's life too. beside all of those praises, Lisa is also pretty

  • เพราะมากกกกกกกกกกกกกกกกกกก เยี่ยม

  • I miss the 90's.... hearing this song brings back a lot of good memories...

  • Not very often a live concert can compare with a studio recording, but this song is MUCH better than 10 years ago when first came out. Maturity has done well for Lisa and her voice :)

  • Lisa is sexy, smart, funny, but shes also the sexiest thing a woman can be : CLASSY.

  • couldn't put it any better! CLASSY!

  • damn good memories
