Unless the apps you use are bugged or are running things in the bacground that you don't want, using the task manager does not save you any battery. If anything, it only makes your phone run slower. Having an app in the memory, uses zero battery. Google it.
@mortenlu There are two task managers, the one i have you can select the apps to kill, the other one kills everything you dont choose which apps to kill, and by having the advane task killer made by rechild, i could use my phone theough the whole day w/o battery almost being dead by 3'oclock
All I'm saying is that apps that idle in the memory (which is most apps) do not use any battery. I can't speak for what apps you got installed and running. Either way, killing all apps is a poor solution. I'd rather check the "whats using the battery" and kill the app draining battery.
@TheLizard17 Well, what I mean by draining battery is that its using some resource that requires battery. Be it the GPS, the CPU, the accelerometer or whatever.
If my file manager, the web browser, a PDF, the market and Spotify (etcetc) is in the background without any active tasks such as transfering files, loading a page or playing music, these apps will use no battery at all and killing them gives you nothing but a longer boot for them next time you start them (which WILL use battery)

@mortenlu This seems weird to me.. I mean, leaving an app running in the background doesnt use the cpu?
TheLizard17 1 year ago
@TheLizard17 Correct. If you want to read more about it, you can find it if you google: multitasking-android-way
