A sustain pedal is enough, you don´t need left pedal for that piece.

    Andreas

  • A beautiful rendition!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Andreas *****

This Gymnopédie is the beautifulest , i think.

    Great performance !

    Antonio

  • Yes, it´s the most popular and I think also the beautifullest of the set of the complete set, which contains three pieces.

Thank you so much for your kind comment, dear Antonio!

  • Oh, Andreas!! My little hand was on my not-so-tiny heart as I listened to your

    gorgeous rendition of this universally

    beloved composition. The stunning

clarity of your piano; the warm chords

of your sensitive touch; and your gift

for interpreting Satie to his utmost,

all serve to make this an ATF version!

    Bravo, MaestroBlau! : ) Hugs, ~Terry

  • Wow, Maestro Blau is a great honour and especially if you write it in big letters at the beginning. I have choosen musicusblau (blau=blue), because it is my favorite colour. (It was a suggestion given on the internet to choose one favorite colour for a password, because it´s easy to remind;)

Thank you so much, my dear Terry, my wonderful listener. Your comment means much to me and I´m very happy you like my rendition so much!

  • This is absolutely my favorite by Satie, it is so lovely and your performance is for me a joy to watch my dear Andreas!

  • My dear Truus, I´m so happy, that your comment came through now. Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging comment. Your interest in my recordings means much to me.

  • I'm glad to know your reason for the "blau" because it was always a little curiosity of

mine -- knowing that blau is blue and knowing

that your genre is not that of a blues pianist!

(But then again, I didn't imagine such a scholarly man to be a windsurfer, so I can't be certain that you haven't also played the blues!)

I hope YouTube will soon be organized. It's such a wonderful way to enjoy our favorite and most highly regarded artists! You and Truus are tops, for sure! Hugs, ~Terry

  • Of course, I still have played Blues and Ragtime, would be a philistine, if not;)

In English "blue" has two meanings: the colour and "sad", in German it means only the colour (and it´s the colour of mind, btw;)

So, the word "blue" in my name has nothing to do with "blues" or "sad" respective complaining music, it just means the colour "blau".

Thank you so much for your high appreciation, which I return thoroughly. I´m gald the comments can be seen again.

  • And hugs and warm wishes to you, my dear Terry!

  • Yes my dear Andreas, I am happy too, I still don't trust them here :-)

  • Thank you, my dear Truus, I agree, since Terrys first comment again seems to have disappeared :(

Nochmals danke.
