thank you so much. i have been stressing out lately because im starting a new school and i dont know what to expect. ive actually very outgoing but of course when it comes to new situations and new people i tend to be quiet and it sometimes comes off as snobby, but this video inspired me to be more confident. thank you.
Brooklynjinx--If the person starts talking about something you can relate to, throw out a comment. For instance, if he/she talks about a restaurant, say something like, "I've heard they've got great grouper there, I've been meaning to try it. I love fish." You get the idea. Also, if you get to be close friends with someone, and you feel comfortable with that person, don't hesitate to ask for an opinion or use them as a sounding board if you have a problem.
You've said in a few videos that people love talking about themselves. Well, I really dont like talking about myself and I find the only thing i say in conversations is asking more questions to get the other person to keep talking about themself. How can I find the confidence to talk about myself so the conversations aren't so one-sided?
kinda hard when the negative person is your supervisor and none of your peers speak a lick of english . :(

A warm friendly person? I've worked in places where there WAS no such person! So I learned to be a bitch.
