  • Is alanbstard4 serious, or just trolling? PC's are not as reliable or quiet as a Mac Pro?? LOL Spoken like a true apple moron.

A OEM PC would not be covered by warranty through several companies. It would be covered through the OEM. Not all PC's are custom built.

I would wager that alanbstard4 is probably a small child, because I find it hard to believe that an adult can be that stupid. Then again, I would probably say the same things if I drank the apple kool aid that much.

  • Some of you PC blokes should learn something

PCs are not as reliable or quiet as Mac Pro. One company covers warrantee for everything in the computer, with a PC you could have a number of companies covering warrantee. Mac advice 24 hrs a day. Last for 10 years, Greater resale value. No cables all over the joint

No viruses dependability. I own PC & Mac

If you own a business using one it makes you profit, so aquisition cost means little

  • you can still get viruses, Macs are great for graphic Arts I got both Mac & PCs. I prefer Mac

Your pricing is not relevent as a Mac Pro is a machine that is used for profit and tax deductable if used for profit. Not often you'll see a PC in a production studio

    PC OK if properly built

  • @alanbstard4 since when is a PC not tax deductible? A computer does not have to be built at Apple to be tax deductible. You see lots of PCs in production studios BTW. You see a lot of both platforms.

PCs are great if built well. In the Production environment, the biggest factor is how well the software works, not the platform its on.

  • @Remoth000 I did not say PCs they weren't tax deductibel. There are not plenty of PCs in pro studios, some maybe. Overwhelmingly macs

  • god macward is a freaking idiot

    1. even my netbook doesn't get this hot.

    2. he has a shiny forehead.

    3. damn fanboy.

  • test

  • nice

  • Macward is an idiot.

  • Macward used his iphone because, for some reason, youtube kept rejecting his vids when he uploaded them from his mac. He even said so in his video. I'm having the SAME problem.

It seems that google made some kind of change recently that fucked things up for some people.

  • ok thanks for pointing that out. I didnt hear that part in macwards video.

  • No problem.

I really wish Google hadn't tried to 'improve' youtube like they did. Youtube was really good once.

  • @sc0pl355 yes YT was fine as is, or was

  • Nevermind had a quick look at your vids & saw that u've got a gtx 275. An i7 @ 3.5GHZ with a gtx 275 I think that beats a mac pro with a xeon & an ati 3870 any day of the week.

  • @codebean beat it at what? More to this than speed

  • Nice video dude how much did your machine cost to build + what card do you have? Also good point about the screen capture, I guess a mac pro can't handle prime95 + screenflo :'(

  • My computer cost about $2000 (including monitor and keyboard) . Im sure you can build it for cheaper, cause I have a fairly expensive case, 4 hard drives, and a high end air cooler. I say I bought a high end air cooler even though my system is water cooled because I bought the coolermaster V8 air cooler and a friend gave me this water cooling setup. so it ended up costing my quite a bit, but I could have spent less.

  • lol,water cooled to match a mac pro...fail

  • Match what? My computer is exceeding that of the quad core mac pro. And it cost little over half the price. Plus I don't need liquid cooling to run prime 95. I use it so the computer is quieter and cooler. I can just as easily run the computer the same as this with my v8 air cooler. Hell, I could run my computer like this with the stock cooler at 2.9 ghz. Congratulations on bring able to run your computer at stock speeds, noob.

  • omfg! macward is so....i cant even....god damn!

the guy cant even read. it would be better if everybody made a video response, instead of commenting because he obviously cant read....

    dear god....

    great vid remoth :)

  • well, obviously, he doesnt pay attention to the videos either. He's just too stubborn to realize the truth about computers. I just cant believe how little he listens to the videos people respond with. he says to post proof of people's claims, then he just ignores them. Its actually quite entertaining how stupid/stubborn he is.

  • I think would probably handle 3ghz+ but to freq IDK & it would interesting to see what the temps were as well. Yeah some of his vids are soooo stoopid they're almost self ownage vids in a way,LOL.

  • lol @ 3.5GHZ o/c ur mac to that & lets see it match those temps otherwise u fail macward!!!

  • yah, I wonder if the heatsinks on the low-end processors for the mac pro are capable of having the high-end processors. Whether they can upgrade the processors from like 2.26 ghz to 2.93 without swapping heatsinks. I dont really know how good the cooling system in the mac pro is. I'm sure ts not as good as many PCs since there is a ton of aluminum in the way of airflow.

  • @Remoth000 mac pro go through heavy pro studio work. No trouble generally. Should have no trouble for domestic use. Why would you need one for domestic use?

  • Great video Remoth, Macward is an idiot. I build a workstation with a haf 932, and equal specs to the mac pro, and its less than two grand.

  • The newest mac pros? single or dual xeon? I bet it screams!

  • switched* Stupid Youtube comments should have an edit function....

  • Great video. I wholeheartedly agree. This dude is like 30, and he has the knowledge of a 12 year old when it comes to computers. I bet you he's gonna take this video as an "owning attempt" video. Tsch. Go ahead. lol.

Regarding PCs are better than Macs yadda yadda, to be honest I used to think that too. But since Apple switch to Intel back in 2006, I've become more open to Intel-based hardware, and I want to build an i7 box as soon as I have the money for it. That's gonna be a fun project.

  • Oh yah. It was really fun building my machine. I even have a budget build Im doing just for fun. Putting a computer together is really fun. I plan on posting a video showing off my PC, but I need to do a little tidying up in the case. I have a few stray wires that I didnt clean, and my water cooling needs some changing too. I recommend getting the Corsair H50 water cooling. Works great for consumer machine. zoul has a vid on it. check it out.

  • @Remoth000 Yeah I saw Zoul's vid on that. At first though, when I build it, when I do, whether it's this Xmas or w/e I'll just go with stock CPU speeds at first. I'm not really a gamer, though not a non-gamer. I like games, but the main focus of this machine will be for media. I'm huge into anime, and I get most of my anime in 720p (fansubbed) and some groups release in 1080p and beyond. That'd be awesome to watch with the i7 as the host of the show.

  • oh yah. one thing that a lot of people get confused on is whether Gaming has a lot to do with the CPU or not. Some games do, like Left 4 Dead where there is a lot of AI control, and Far Cry 2 and Crysis, but generaly games dont tax the CPU anywhere near what they tax the GPU. Media will rely heavily on the CPU and Ram, so overclocking for that would be really worth it.
