  • failvideo!

  • He doesn't actually even hold the knife correctly lol.

  • Who cares what color cutting board he's using. Ppl have been using the same cutting board for uses cutting meat and veggies. It's all of a sudden now the health department come up with all these rules and regulation. Please don't be a smart ass and bs ppl with the cross contamination crap. I use one cutting board and ppl are fine. :) No one has died . . . yet that I know of haha

  • @jets0121

Only use for chicken a seperate cuttingboard, you know salmonella.

  • @boedhaspeaks And who did you learn that from? The news? Have you done testing yourself? For generations ppl have been using the same cutting boards for everything. I'm pretty sure our moms, grandmas, and other ppl have been and still is in other countries. The salmonella SEEMS like it only exits in the US where we're injecting chemicals in our food supplies. I've been cooking for years all these new health codes and regulations are bs.

  • @jets0121 Stop talking out of your arse.

If you dont have this in my country your restaurant will be closed within a day. It doesnt matter what you or I think.

  • @boedhaspeaks And what country are you from? I'm not arguing the fact that you shouldn't use different cutting boards for different things. I find it funny that ppl who knows barely anything about cooking bash others for using the "wrong" cutting boards. My point was ppl have been using the same cutting boards for years. Different colors cutting boards are required because dumbass ppl cut chicken/meat then cut veggies afterwards w/o cleaning it properly.

  • @jets0121 Im from the Netherlands and they have riddiculous rules.

Yeah i see what you mean now, and you are right. There are way to much of those rules because some dumbasses are to lazy to follow the basics from cooking and cleaning.

Sorry next time i will read twice before i post some idiotic comment ;)

  • @boedhaspeaks We have the same laws in the US. If only the few didn't ruin it for the many then we wouldn't have sooo many laws and regulations. haha I heard it's beautiful there in the Netherlands. Take care glad we were civilized haha.

  • Love Anthony Bourdain, not the microwaves in the back ground....

  • @2bookoo86 they don't use it to cook a steak obviously. It makes clarifying butter so much easier though.

  • Wow this guy seriously hasnt got good knife skills. He cut off the root, was using a raw meat chopping board 'RED' and not a 40 degree angle matey... only thing he done good is how to position the hand that isnt holding the knife, Use a claw technigue so easy.

  • @TheSean57 thats why hes the most famous chef in the world and u r a loser typing on youtube

  • @tushar310 pffft summ famous chef

  • @TheSean57 "this guy"..... that's Anthony Bourdain my friend, show some respect. Don't worry about the knife and board he's using because I'm sure he knows a bit more about the kitchen then you.

  • he shouldnt have removed the root

  • red cutting board mr. bourdain? lol

  • It's a 90 degree angle.

  • Sandra Lee, Paula Deen, Rachel Ray and the rest of the celebrities that can't cook disliked this.

  • Sunlikekid, sounds pretty disrespectful to me. Wanker.

It is a demo for noobs, asshat.

  • not to be disrespectful...........but i am a STUDENT and i can cut onions better and smaller and smoother than that!!

  • @sunlitekid01- Yeah and I bet he can too. You'll be a student the rest of your life if you don't learn humility. This guy knows a lot more about cooking than you rest assured.

  • @superlou1s yeah he may but he sure doesn't know how to cut onions.......at all anyone with BASIC knife skills can do it better..

  • @sunlitekid01 you may be able to cut onions better and smoother than that but you don't want to cut it smaller because he said he wanted the onion medium diced. What good is brunoise of onions if you need medium dice?

  • lol, the jerk off he's talking about is Vince from slap chop!

  • Yoshilkagawa - I like your Sushi Train video !

  • @chefgiovanni Thanks, it surprised even my family who are from the area :D I can't wait to go back!

  • Giovanni, I think it's for the video. White onion + red cutting board = lots of contrast. Keep in mind that Bourdain isn't only a seasoned chef but also an experienced television personality.

  • Tony, not bad, but you know I would blow you away slicing or dicing. By the way, why the heck are you using a hard red plastic cutting board for an onion ?

  • @chefgiovanni Because he's on the line at Les Halles and uses whatever they have? And I don't know why in the world you think you're talking to Anthony Bourdain on YouTube, when this is a horribly rendered and out-of-sync clip from Travel Channel taken and uploaded by a random person.

  • @YoshiIkagawa Thanks for the tutorial. The kitchen is a dump. No hat ...hmmmm.. wondering, did he wash his hands ? I just find this amusing at best.

  • @chefgiovanni Watch the episode this clip was pulled from. The kitchen is incredibly small. If it's the episode I believe it was, Eric Rupert was on the line with him that evening, and they were seeing if they could actually work the line after such a long time being celebrity chefs.

The sous chefs are all wearing bandana's/do-rags, and I think Eric and Anthony were the only two without a cover.

Jewelery on the hands gross me out though, regardless.

  • @YoshiIkagawa those are two different episodes- the episode this was pulled from is a special on chefs takes on classic recipes. Tony is doing beef beef bourguignon and teaching basic kitchen skills along the way. the episode with eric ripert is awesome though

  • @shr00m7 Thanks for the information. I must have missed that episode :)

  • My teacher would have murdered me if I would have used the bacteria-filled rings on my fingers when I was in culinary school.

  • @knightsgarage ever heard of cleaning u stupid fuck "Oh i went to culinary school, and i know more than this guy" fucking bitch

  • @lnclincoln Oh, come on mike .. Dont be so angry. Did you forgot take your ritalin today?

  • @lnclincoln Sorry im too busy shoving bacteria filled rings up ur butt

  • @knightsgarage relax, unless you are making a salad you will cook the food and that kills bacteria. Heat and bacteria not a good combination.

  • Was biting on by hand in horror watching this shit, yeah, been there

  • fucking red board you shit

where is your fucking color code you blind tit

  • @amolry PMSL, red board is for raw fingers only!

  • @amolry They probably just used that one for television. Better contrast.

  • Only americans go to Youtbe to learn how to cook food...

  • @Petegrin1 really?

  • @Petegrin1

where do you suggest to learn scam-cordon-blue?

  • this video is very funny

  • DIS MAH NIGGA

  • use green chopping board

  • tip's tucked under. like a lady

  • "Everybody should know how to use a knife, it ain't that hard." Damn straight! Common sense.

Notice he has his honing steel right next to his board, so he can touch up his edge quickly if needed, not wait till it gets stupid dull.

  • @TerrioKnives But that poor excuse for a knife was terribly dull.

  • "Everybody should know how to use a knife, it ain't that hard." Damn straight!
