  • @MrMonarc74: Oh really. That's interesting. Then why is it is a direct cam-on-bucket valvetrain design? Do you know what the VTEC mechanism looks like? No obviously not, because there is no variable valve timing there.

  • hmmm 2.0 16valve same motor i'ma build and put in my 89 escort gt.

  • this was a BIG LIE ITS NOT A FOCUS ENGINE..... THIS IS A I-VTEC HONDA ENGINE...

  • Which specific zetec engine is this?

  • @kjaks, this is a Duratec (block shared with Mazda's MZR), notice it has a timing chain.

The Zetec engines use a timing belt.

  • What if it really took five minutes to build an engine

  • I don't think this is the guy that made it. That's a screensaver that somebody at Ford made using the actual CAD data. I've got the program somewhere, it's pretty cool. This guy must have just captured it.

And it is a Duratec, not a Zetec. Zetec has the intake/exhaust on the opposite side from the Duratec. And Zetec has a plastic valve cover, Duratec is cast aluminum as shown.

  • how many moving part has an engine like this?

  • im sure thats a duratec due to the crank being mounted high in the block?

  • very nice engine! looks like a Zetec engine. what a cool animation, that must have taken weeks to make.

  • fucked up kool i learned a lot !!!! is thier a vid on a vw mini bus or beatle ???

  • thts pretty damn cool how this vid breaks it down, do you/they have one for the v6 mustang or v*?

  • Very nice, even the firing order 1-3-4-2 correct! Nice job!

  • It is probably Fords' Auto-CAD design.
