  • Hello! I play mostly groove and funk, but some jazz too. How is the volume of the cymbal? could it go easly on on playing some jazz? Thank you very much.

  • I must say, I don't pay much attention to the "playing", as I'm interested in hearing the CYMBAL (except when it's so bad that it makes impossible to hear it properly...but in Stanton's case is quite the OPPOSITE (and I must say I'm not his "fan" as I've never seen him playing or heard any of his songs) he plays so nicely that all I hear is his playing...man...that's playing!

  • Wow, that ride is near perfect.

  • I love how he's selling that cymbal,, nothing else it's all about that particular ride. ;~)

  • I just ordered one of these! I can't wait! Hopefully I'll be getting an 18" smash Crash as well.

  • what snare is that?

  • @TheMisha1000 Gretsch 14 x 4.5 Stanton Moore Signature Snare Drum - Solid Birdseye Maple

  • Fantastic!

  • I like how much darker and washier this is than the other 22" 2550g wide ride, they sound completely different

  • what kinda drums is he using and what heads are on the bass drum?

  • its a vintage 1973 gretsch borrowed from the owner of memphis drum shop jim pettit. The kick batter is a powerstroke 3 and the reso is a fiberskyn 3

  • well my friend the drums are gretsch and im pretty sure Moore uses a coated something on the bass drum but the point is not the drums that are being used or the heads it is the technique of the drummer that always makes the difference. Moeller, Moeller, Moeller

  • But Moore doesn't use Moeller.

  • @5N1P4K1NG Yep. Coated P3 on the batter.
