Thank you for posting, this was an amazing documentary that I have seen on BBC4 a few times .. love Al Murray, love Germany even more, love from London.
That steam tram in the snow looks like fun, visiting Germany is great I had the most fantastic holiday riding a bike, stopping occasionally to try the beer and wurst to keep the energy up.
An excellent documentary. I lived, worked and served with the British Forces in Germany and still work in Germany and Switzerland. Anyone who has spent any quality time there knows why it is such an amazing place with a rich diverse culture. Only jealous morons live in the past and lets face it, what would you drive ? an Audi, BMW, Merc or a Rover 25!! If you focus on the terrible Nazi period then why not focus on Britains ethnic cleansing of Africa, Scotland, Ireland, India...get my drift.!!
@Spandau1945 Well said, Spandau! Totally getting your drift here. I am partly of foreign origin and have lived in Germany all my life - never have I ever received any bad treatment because of being half-Iranian or something, in the same way as I have never received anything of this sort while I lived in the UK. Germany is a great and tolerant place to be with a diverse culture. And Al Murray is fantastic. Personally, I love the humorous banter between us Germans and the Brits hah hah

Also you make no sense by saying Britains ethnic cleansing of etc etc, since all said countrys are Britain, Britain is a Country of Countries started by a Scottish King and all the dispora also included English people as well as everyone else, all sel imposed within each owns borders.
