What do you mean you have to extract it every time? Don't open the zip file, right click on it and extract it, then you can just go into the folder you extracted it to.

And it's not always sure that there's grassland when you place the farms, how do you make sure they'll place them?

@Skoffinity AI places farms, woodcutter huts, quarries, etc. automatically and don't need those buildings in their AIV files unless you want them to have it in a specific place (and only if there's oasis there).

@Skoffinity Nope, the AI will not produce troops or resources that they would not normally produce.

The only way to make an AI like the rat produce bread is to put wheat farms, a mill, and bakeries in the AIV file and not put a market (or they will sell the wheat as soon as they get it). Unfortunately this means they must be over grassland and the lack of a market cripples the AI.

i got a very very very strange problem, my aiv editor doesn't save the castles i build

@sethyboy0 After I deleted all those useless fiels in village folder, I can save and reloam my files, but they won't appear on villages.

@Varyalover What do you mean useless files? All of the files in the AIV editor are there for a reason.

The former aiv files that are vanilla adn not needed- my savesdidnt appear until I deleted those. My saves appear in the application, but not in the folders.

guys if you want to speed MUCH, get cheat engine, watch a tutorial about how to use it, it's very simple. Also you can use it for too slow gameplay if you want to make a good start

when i open the village.exe it says: "The program can't start because mss32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I don't really know how to fix it, but if you go on the official Firefly Studios forums, you should be able to make a post there and get some help.

@greatman63 Just type mss32.dll in google and download from the first site, then paste it into your file. ;)

@greatman63 The mss32.dll file is located in your stronghold crusader main file so i think putting the .exe file there.

thanks i reinstallt my stronghold crusader extreme and made a folder to the crusaders fiels and now i can open the aiv fiels

how do i access my AI files to the game when I open my files for the game there is nothing named ai or aiv fiels i have the program to make castle its name is village but villages ai/aiv fiels have no efect on my game i think there are some ai/aiv fiels in the games fiels my question is how do i access them?

Go to the directory where you installed Crusader and go into the AIV folder inside it.

The Original stonghold has no AI.

I created new AIV files in the AIV editor and put them in the game so the rat would make custom castles instead of the normal ones.

What do you mean save?

If you mean save as in save your game, push the Esc button and click save.

If you mean something else, please explain to me.

crusader extreme was an improvement in some ways. i mean there is shit loads of guy and stuff but those bonus attack things are a little over the edge. and ive crashed my $2000 brand new computer several times with levels where i have over 8000 men. that pisses me off.

And the AIV editor has nothing to do with only Extreme.
