Funny listen to some of you couch gm's assesments a year later, packers secondary isnt very good? tramon is garbage? lol fools and the internet dont mix
hey ridemooses, nothing wrong with our olb's we got popinga, barnett, mathews, hawk, Chillar, Bishop, Jones. and kampman wasnt a big loss for us, he doesnt play the 3-4 well, we could get the same effectiveness as him if we put brad jones at his position so stop hating on thomson, we went 11 and 5 last year, cant say that about many other teams
I like the pick, its safe, its smart. The guy has all the tangibles, hes a beast, hes strong, and an underrated observation: the guy is a health and fitness major, he knows how to take care of himself and his body. Great athlete! That being said, Thompson claims that they took the top player on the board with each pick, a little early for Neal to be taken....however its better then someone else suprising with the exact same pick. Just fill your needs and stick to the gameplan.
Guy took on double teams in the Big 10...he's a brute! Faster than Jenkins and strong. I think some of the questions he couldn't answer in the interview were a little disturbing but I actually really liked the way he answered the questions that he actually knew the answers to.
I've seen Neal play, he is a real beast, him and Raji are the future of the GB D-line. Neal really is a monster and has great instincts, I wish him the best of luck.
people were worried about the actual overall DT pick... he's going to be a DE in a 3-4 and a good one at that, i honestly dont think Jolly even though he played very well last year is our future 3-4 end. He'll end up somewhere else, i like jenkins pickett/raji and neal, rajis the future the anchor for the line
You are an idiot if you think this was a great pick in round 2. Trade down if this is the guy you want TT, because that mistake cost us a 4th round pick with lots of talent still available.
Great logic... people said the same thing about the Nick Collins pick... guess what Baltimore was going to take him with the NEXT pick... the guy will be a monster he can bench over 500 pounds and ran a 4.78
@superkracker please explain what else we need? We dont need anything else. A corner would be nice but we're stocked with corners, and to get a mediocre corner in the second isnt worth it when we have 3 returning this year who know the system. We got a DE... jolly may be suspended for 4 games this year... whos going to play in place of him? WYNN? i hope not. we need a rotation and this guy is a monster. and i have a feeling westbrook will be a packer. All we need is a return specialist
@AASSTT3 your basing that on one game against the ravens... tramon has had 9 ints in 2 years which is good. Also blackmon and lee are good corners, they just have been injured. Now after our bulaga pick there were no more good corner. Also last year we had no pressure on QBs with good lines. Matthews led the team in sacks with 10... which isnt enough. our line had to give pressure but couldnt. Neal will give the pressure that jolly couldnt.
Tramon WIlliams is a solid CB. He had one game vs the Ravens where the refs screwed him. Other than that the guy is money in the bank. Lee, and underwood are young CB's and have had to many injuries to properly assess how good they are.
@superkracker i agree with you.. wat these dumb ass people dont get is where not saying he was'nt a good pick jus not for the 2nd round when we obiviously need a corner if people actually think we have good corners besides harris & woodson they dont watch packer football its obivious all our back up cbs suck man did they not watch the steelers game both vikings game cincinnati game and the damn wild card our corners couldnt cover shit

Haha Thompson never found an edge rusher. Looks like their defense should underachieve in big games again...
