Lenin gave very critical descriptions of all leading Communists in his Testament - Pyatakov, Bukharin, Stalin, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Trotsky. The consensus within the Party leadership was that the Testament could not be printed publicly as it would have damaged the Party as a whole. The result was that nobody in the party leadership, apart from Krupskaya, really wanted to adopt Lenin's proposals.
