  • I'm writing a poem about the Last Sitting! give feedback!

You bloom like a tulip in front of the camera,

And the strand of pink pearls that you put in your mouth,

Collected in pools in your wave of white hair.

We couldnt decipher you behind the stripe of your smile.

The rose colored lens told us you were happy,

But perhaps it was just the champagne.

Why did you look like a newborn?

Blown into Technicolor vision, repeated over and over many times.

    Whispered into black and white.

  • wow, that is really beautiful! i love it!

  • ...Thank you for answering me. But all I see in the title is "The last sitting (pictorial)". Nothing about Norma Jean and Marilyn soundtrack album, but again, thank you for answering me.

  • America's Top Model;yesterday, today and tomorrow.

  • Marilyn is So beautifull.....

  • these pictures are beautiful(:

    x

  • Wow I've never seen the picture with the brunette wig on. Thanks.

  • sad...and beautiful

  • Bitter-sweet and moving.

  • Poor Marilyn to have nude shots as her last pictures that's just sad.

  • to me these are the most beautiful. i cant believe what people say about her here. yes, she does look like she doesn't care. She actually looks less contrived and more free. The most beautiful woman isn't a perfect woman...maybe one day some of you will realize that.

  • All these pictures are Marilyn.

  • she overdosed. to me, the story of the president killing her is very distasteful and disrespectful to her memory. in her last interview she siad to the reporter "please don't make me into a joke"

thats exactly what she was turned into - a joke. she gave her soul to the people who turned around & desecrated her.

she's so beautiful but unhappy here.

  • her eyes don't have the same luster that they once did. she looks lost and like she just doesn't care much anymore. it's truly a loss, to me the story of her commiting suicide makes some sense.

  • @ssotaru125 I think that may be more due to the fact that she is slightly tipsy, the shots used much less strong lighting and airbrushing than her usual glamour shots, and the poses are less forced. I've seen other shots from 1962 where she has the same vibrancy and spark she did in the 50's.

  • in many pics shown here, she looks lost, distant, the vibrancy that normally enveloped her seems to have eluded her here.

  • very sensual mmh

i would like to have the fotos on my wall hehe

    sutch class and beauty

  • such an elegant tribute to Marilyn..simply beautiful...

  • Hi could you tell me the exact name of the peice of music which is played.

    Many thanks.

  • The song is called 'Marilyn'.

  • Who does this beautiful song called, "Marilyn" -- I must have it! :-)

  • Well everyone has taken the perfect words out of my mouth, i cant watch this video without my bottom jaw dropping. Love you MM, NJM x

  • I HAVE to get this book!

  • Beautiful. I just can't imagine her on Parkinson. She died a peach.

  • tolle bilder, toller film, tolle musik!

  • Marilyn Monroe was a Queen that the industry wouldn't tolerate. She became an icon anyway, how hot is that? For the best Tribute to Marilyn, check out my page.

  • love it

  • You did a good job , like u always do ! What the name of the song>?

  • WOW....still the most beautiful woman in the world...

  • Awesome video. I had a hard time finding these pictures anywhere, and here they all are! :) The song fits perfectly.

  • Very beautiful! love it..lost for words.....

  • She is gorgeous, as always. There will never be another like her - EVER. I hope you found your peace, our dear Marilyn. You will be a International cultural icon for eternity. We miss you.

  • There will never be another woman like Marilyn. I will always love you........

  • what is the background music i love it! please let me know!

  • yes, fantastic piece of music. I saw a foro of her in luisiana in denmark. She looked tired , very tired , no glamur believe it or not.

  • beautiful

  • I love this. :)

  • Muy bonitas, gracias

  • marilyn i love youuuuuuuuuuu

  • beautiful, the song fits perfectly, almost tragic

  • Absoloutly beautiful, there were some photos in there I have never seen, thanks for a great montage of Marilyn. I've saved it in my favs.

  • She just got better with age...and then....I guess we'll never know. But if she WAS murdered, then I hope that the person responsible, and all of their families thereafter, get cancer of everything!

  • kennedy's all got it

  • Good grief!

  • i just want to say "thank you" to both you Robsiejb and of course Marilyn. I'd also like to know who was used for the background music-it fit perfectly.

  • She might not have been stick thin like lots of people now adays, but thats why she is beautiful and those skinny people aren't.

  • whats with the commnents??? Its a beautiful video tribute to a beautiful woman

  • "It's about an immature attitude towards sex"

And I would say that attitudes which are prudish, judgemental, and narrow-minded, and are based on fear, and that resent the active sex lives of women, are immature.

  • who is the name of the artist for the music you used?

  • Marilyn is classic, she may be a lot of things but definitely not awful like that tart slutty starlet Lindsay! When I saw the "recreated" last sitting, I felt kinda sad because Lindsay didn't seem right for it. Marilyn was glowing in her photos while Lindsay looked spotty with her freckles and all. From class to crass! Yikes!

  • Marilyn Monroe is my Hollywood icon. She epitimises beauty for me. And she was still so much more than that. Not every person in the film industry has recieved the love from the public like she did.

And on a related note, Lindsey Lohan looked aweful when she recreated this sitting. How dare Bert Stern agree to shoot her like he did with Marilyn!

  • lindsey lohan "recreated" this sitting...and it is pitiful. why even try to do such a thing even as an "homage." LL totally pales in comparison to the luminous MM!

  • To me, the vogue gowns just didn't work for her in these pictures . . . the semi-nudes worked. Lovely pictures . . .

  • She was really naturally pretty, and with make up she looked beautiful!

  • Look how natural she looked. She really wasn't "big breasted", a term used in the '50's. This should really disillusion the male fantasy world created by Hefner, and perpetuated by rest Guccione and Flynt and those who slither after them. I think Marilyn would've been repelled by these guys. Hefner thinks P. Anderson is the MM of 1990's, not a chance! He's so creepy he bought the mausoleum next to her's so he can be next to her (his fantasy) for all eternity.

  • Monroe had lost quite a bit of weight by this time, and she wasn't as "big" as, let's say, in Some Like It Hot, where she was HUGE. Busty. Don't you think?

  • Yes, but she was pregnant and lost baby I think, In Some Like It Hot. She's just a little too thin here, but lovely. They used to pad her in those form fitting hour glass dresses. She was "only" a 36 B or maybe C(?)

  • Marilyn posed for nude photos herself and was very comfortable with her sexuality. Why would she have disliked men like Hefner, who helped women like Marilyn use their sexuality to further themselves?

  • I'm not even going to dignify that with an answer.

  • It's amazing how people are always so quick to criticize, but when they are asked to explain their reasoning........

  • If I have to explain this to you, as a woman... let's just end it. I'm too old and disillusioned to try to explain.

  • You didn't seem too old and disillusioned to criticize. Funny that.

  • No not funny at all. I told you I'm too tired to try you're woman and you evidently admire the triumvirate of Hefner, Guccione, Flynt. I no longer try to communicate with someone like that. You're 19, and have grown up in a culture that accepts sexual objectification and IMO dehumanization of women. It's mainstream in your face on a continuum of bad to worse, where even little girls are violated then murdered on regular basis. IMO Jon Benet's mother sexualized her daughter and caused her destiny

  • What's wrong with being an object of desire that people are willing to pay for? Why does being seen as a sexual object 'dehumanize' women any more than working as a cleaning lady 'dehumanizes' them to mere wage slaves? By your logic, the sexual/physical appreciation of a woman or a man in ANY context is degrading and dehumanizing.

  • BUT... it's not sexual appreciation. Hefner et al faked us all out. The misogynistic music culture has been run for the last 30 yrs by "guys in 3piece suits who grew up jerking off to Playboy." That was said by a male rock group in the 80's who had an obvious feminist consciousness. It's not art.

  • "where even little girls are violated then murdered on regular basis."

And this is worse then say little boys being violated then murdered?

Caused her destiny? Why not place blame where it is due, on the killer? How in the world could it be the parent's fault? Or do you feel that he "couldn't help himself" and that he shouldn't be to blame? Why are you excusing the killer's actions?

  • You have to get your brain fixed. I'm not excusing the killer. Her mother sexualized her, get it, SEXUALIZED HER 5 YR OLD LITTLE GIRL. She made her a target. Marilyn VanDerber, Miss America 1958 fm Colorado, spoke of it in an interview. VanDerber was sexually abused by her own father, a prominent architect. You have to expand your mind. This country is in massive denial about sexual exploitation. YES IT HAPPENS TO LITTLE BOYS, ALWAYS HAS.

  • No, you pretty much were doing just that. You mentioned nothing of the killer and blamed the whole thing on her mother (and by not mentioning the father, who had as much of a say in things as the mother did, you were denying that he was equally to blame).

    "She made her a target."

To a crazy, perverted, deranged, child molester/killer, every little girl is a target.

  • What is your point? Are you suggesting that if VanDerber had not been in pageants that her father would not have abused her? Pedophiles aren't "turned into" pedophiles; it is a mental disorder waiting to come out.

It's not the pageants, or a pretty dress, or make up, or looking "older" that makes a little girl a target for a molester (in fact it would defeat the whole purpose of someone being a pedophile as they like little girls who look like little girls.

  • You call for a 'human fate' for women but you mean the pure opposite: an existence

(not even a life) in slavery of your absurd and devalue ruled, established solely

to keep people from their natural pleasures of enjoying themselves.

Did it ever occur to you that striving for sexual adventures, beauty, and gender

interaction is the NATURAL way whereas what you describe as rightful are artificial

man made rules established by those in power in order to keep the masses down?

  • except that I don't see the commercial sex culture as healthy natural pleasure of enjoying themselves. If anything, its about an immature attitude toward sex. The rest of what you say here is just weird. I mean a woman defined sexuality that celebrates women as whole, not women as defined by a male definition that I see as exploitative, not celebratory. Tho I know Hefner tries to sell it that way and unfortunately succeeds. I hold him responsible for the death of Dorothy Stratton too.

  • "The commercial sex culture is not a "healthy natural pleasure" of enjoying oneself."

Well this is EXACTLY what people do when watching porn. But weird as you are, it obviously triggers other feelings in you.

"guys in 3 piece suits who grew up jerking off to Playboy"

Firstly, jerking off over Playboy is difficult in itself when one could have the real porn. But doing so in a 3 piece suit blows the boiler. You really live in the 13th century. No wonder do you feel mature!

  • I suggest you stop reading so much neofeminist propaganda and trying to pretend the world conforms to their ridiculous lies. I also suggest you stop trying to tell women what we "should" do, and hold us to your bigoted standards (whether those standards derive from Steinem, Dworkin or the Bible). It is not your responsibility to set some artificial example for other women to follow as though they were children to be led, even assuming they agreed with YOUR ideas of desirable female behavior.

  • That was such a beautiful job! Thank you for sharing.

  • This is just Great!! Pitty i cant find the song, it is soo Marilyn

  • Great Job!!!I Love The Video!!!

  • thank you

  • can you possibly give me the name of the music?

  • The song is called 'Marilyn', and it's from the soundtrack album of the movie 'Norma Jean & Marilyn'.

  • Video and music was really sad. It was Marilyn's Last Sitting--> sad. I like it. Those all pictures are so nice!

  • Thanks Sini. I tried to create a cold, sad atmosphere.
