Good way getting across , just like my mum called cops on me for stealing when i was 14 . i learnt my lesson . got of with warning never done it again.
i caught my kid stealing easter candy, so i took him to the manager and made him apologize. meanwhile, there was a cop car in the parking lot with his lights flashing. turns out somebody had hit our car and tried to leave the scene. of course the kid freaked out... thought they had came to take him to jail. it was funny as hell. i never caught him trying to shoplift agaain.

The bad parents said no and raised their criminals with no morals. Had one guy come by to talk years later to thank me for scaring the crap out of him. He had stayed 'clean' and graduated high school AND college. He was Valedictorian at both. A lot of the no parent's kids ended up in prison or crack-head or both.

I think it was a good lesson for this child. When I was five, I took a little magnet from a store, and my Dad drove me down to the police station. I was crying, and he said he would let me off without telling the police this time, and drove me back to the store to return the magnet and apologize. Believe me when I say I learned my lesson! By the way, I am not traumatized from the incident.

I think it was a good lesson for this child. When I was five, I took a little magnet from a store, and my Dad drove me down to the police station. I was crying, and he said he would let me off without telling the police this time, and drove me back to the store to return the magnet and apologize. Believe me when I say I learned my lesson! By the way, I am not traumatized from the incident.

Honestly, your Dad probably never intended on bringing you IN to the police station even if he said he was going too. Some kids end up being scared of the police which itsn't good.
