@carlsm95 I'm sure thousands have already told them to :P Also, what a coincidence you said that 13 seconds ago I came to this video at the exact right time.
@TheShyboy36 wow... they created the two largest manmade waterfalls where the towers fell and imprinted the names of all the people who died that day around the waterfalls. they refused to build the towers on where the people died. they cut back the sides of 2 WTC so that every morning on 9/11 when the second tower fell the sun would shine on the memorial.
and now, they are building this for the families, for a symbol of hope and for the future. you think that's disrespectful? smh
A far cry from what this area looked like 10 years ago. On Oct 9, 2001, I stood at the Corner of B'wy and Liberty and saw the remains of WTC2, smoke still rising in the air. Up at at Cortlandt, barracades set up only allowed people to move in a horse-shoe pattern. I looked back at the crowd and saw the sorrow in their eyes. I put my camera down for I felt It too personal to photograph their private "mourning". 10 years later, and the area is now reborn and teeming with life again. Thank GOD!
I also think the new Freedom Tower is beautiful and impressive. It would have been nice if the new WTC site was completed by the 10th anniversary of 9/11, but enough has been finished to highlight the progress. New York will have another remarkable tower to grace its awesome skyline. Let us all remember the many that perished on this site 10 years ago. NEVER forget.
It is a beautiful building as will be the entire site once it is all completed. The Twin Towers are gone folks. I know you realize that but it is the past and this is called progress/moving on. The memorial museum & fountains will be well received I am sure. The future of NYC looks evermore promising - I look forward to it :)
@TheJoshter6 I do. Personally I have no idea why some people are bitching over this. It's not like their building over the old WTC. That ENTIRE area is a memorial. Technically the new WTC is build around the old one.
Great Video Man! It's a shame the Port Authority lost track of how high One World Trade Center actually is. According to the prints, the Tower is actually 986-987 Feet to the 80th Floor and if you add four feet due to the column splice it comes out to about 990' - 991' so this Tower is about 1,000 Feet High. Floors 81-82 should surpass the 1,000 Foot Mark.
nice vid mate but qwick question i thorght we were here to see the towers not a strest humer

@TheShyboy36- Why's that? Don't you think the victims would want people to move on?

Thanks again for the update, in just about a week I hear the memorial center is suppose to open on 9/11/11 if I understand correctly.

You saw Tower Three, both it and Tower Two has made street level. Tower Three's front still needs to catch up with the back end though.
