Hey man where di you buy your kit? I'm looking for the same set up. Don't want to spend more then $2500, all i want is a boosted base rsx thats 250whp.
I have a 05 base and was thinking about putting the greddy kit on. What other mods besides kpro and the exhaust did u need? new engine mounts? clutch?- if so what stage ( 2, 3 ,4..)?
I had and Ingall's ETD and eventually put in Energy suspension mount inserts. I also used RC Engineering 550cc injectors. Gave me more freedom of tuning.
dude i have a type-s but dont rev up ur turbo and then shut it off u gotta let it run for about 10 min then off cuz the oil gets really ghot on the turbo when it spools up so u gotta let it cool down and stay under 3k just a lil info to make ur turbo last waaaaay longer
Thanks for the info but let me make a couple of corrections. After running the car hard, 3 mins is plenty of cool down time for a turbo'd car. 30 secs is good for daily driving in Florida. Anymore than that you are just wasting gas and time. I have built numerous turbo'd Hondas and Acuras in the span of 12 years.
I have the Type RS BOV. Revving to I think 7800 RPM. I'm putting 220hp on the wheels. The turbo is the Greddy Kit from a Type S that I fitted for a Base. I'm running Kpro to control everything.
If you're talking about the turbo set up, all I had to modify was a charge pipe and run Kpro. If the exhaust I'm using a Type-S downpipe and testpipe. The Type-S exhaust mates up.

I only spend like $3000 for the complete set-up. Turbo, exhaust, and Kpro.

What kind of modifications did you have to do in order for it to fit the base model?
Thanks, and sick sounding DC5!

How high are you revving there? I'm trying to figure out what exhaust to get for my rsx but something quiet, that sounds real nice though

Greddy Types S BOV? Sounds real nice by the way.
