They said Dilla's name in the beginning b/c Dilla was supposed to rhyme on here, but got sick and never could. You can see 9th Wonder in the liner notes if you bought the album, and you can hear Phonte in the back say "9th Wonder on the track ya'll c'mon!" at 1:10. It's not rocket science. Dilla (RIP) did not produce Hiding Place.

@9Bamba5 It's a 9th beat. I was around when they made the album. Dilla got shouted out because he was supposed to rhyme on the jam but due to his health and scheduling conflicts it never happened. Phonte even says, "9th Wonder on the track" during the hook at 1:10. 9th Wonder's name is in the production credits. At this point I feel like video evidence wouldn't even be enough for some people that just insist Dilla made this in opposition with all the evidence that says he didn't.
