Its crazy, you talk about amazing power backs who break tackles and carry multiple defenders on their backs as they're tried to be taken down, and then you talk about speed backs who find a crease and leave the defense in the dust. Bo Jackson was the epitome of both, and made it look effortless. Oh yeah, and lets not forget how he dominated the highlight reels for baseball as well. Good luck ever finding another athlete like him.
Bo Jackson changed the defenses. You had to team speed like Miami and Florida State. You couldn't have that slow tackler on the defensive backs but he couldn't touch him.
I went to UF during the tebow years, but I really think Jackson was one of the greatest ever. Certainly the greatest Auburn player till Cam came along, but he went to UF first, he made the right move and you guys deserved it after getting cheated in that undefeated season you had a few years back. Emmit, Herschel, and Bo are the top three RB's from the SEC. Can't wait till next year (maybe) GO GATORS!!!ONE
Haha, I miss the the thug hurricanes of the 80's. Check out the trip at 2:39 that number 2 uses to take down Bo. They just don't fill rosters with criminals like the old huricanes used to
@philligatortears haha, they sure don't. i guess The U went out with a bang in 2004 with the full team stomping and helment slinging against Florida International
i didnt realize jeff #66 was on the sidelines so much,, i do remmember the crap that was going on i just dont remember him not starting or playing in the games as much,, no mater ,,, even my fat ass would look good with bo running behind me, and of course all the guys did their job,, i just thought i rmemmeberd lott doing much more,, perhaps its just the selected highlights for these are only a very small exihibit of bos talent
When Bo accelerated to his top speed, only God had a chance of stopping him from reaching the end zone, and not a very good chance at that. Ridiculous that it seemed like he to slam on the brakes to stop himself from running into the stands!
they took him 1st pick but the owners didnt want him to play baseball they told him he had to pick one. So he played baseball first. them the raiders picked him up in the 7th round and paid him full salary to only play half the season. Bo the best athlete ive ever seen on tape or live. truly electric.
No... he didn't want to play for the team that drafted him #1 overall so he played baseball for a year, then the next year went back into the draft and got selected in the 6th round I believe.
Not coaching tarnishes your record? Thats stupid. Joe Montana doesn't coach, Jim Brown, OJ Simpson, very very few of the greats coach. I wonder how many truely great running backs hit 141 homeruns in the major leagues and was an all-american in college baseball. Zero.
Bo woulda set all new NFL records if he didn't hurt his hip.. He was big strong and incredibly fast for someone his size.. he was a great player and athlete...its a shame... he coulda been the GOAT
Who made this? The video clips are great, but the commentating is horrendous, and what's with that stupid pink circle popping up all the time? There's no need to circle Bo in the shot when he's the ONLY GUY YOU CAN SEE IN THE FRAME.
bo was better than deion...deon just waited and used his speed to pick of passes dieon never tackles he's all finess...bo was both power and finesse same with baseball
at around the 3:00 min. mark of the video, notice the Texas Longhorn's All-American Jerry Gray run Bo down from behind...also, i believe he broke Bo's collarbone or separated his shoulder on that play....either way, as i recall UT won both games of that home and home series.... Horns Rule!!!
Probably the best athlete ever, if not the modern era of sports. That piece with Deion trying tackle him is cool. Deion is probably the other greatest athlete of all-time, both were the only men ever to play basebal and football simultaneously at a high level.
Arguably the greatest athlete of all time.
