i have one of these... i put in some seymour duncan blackout active humbucks in it... i posted a video, you cant tell by the vid but it sounds really good... i have an xm and an xmt and still have the stock pickups for both are the in any way different... they look like the exact same pickups..

Just got the Dean with tremolo locally for $120. They had 3. Two sucked! One I got played great. Beware of ordering online!!

PLAY before BUYING!! WAY better than my old Squire strat!!!

Dean needs a real nut put on it though. The stock nut sucks.

Fairly thin neck. Stiff tremolo. Stays in tune pretty well for $120!

No real neck buzz and good pickup tone quality. Tuners are a little loose.

Can't go wrong for $120!!

On guitar for such price it is necessary to block tremolo.

It stays in tune pretty well without blocking! The tremolo is REALLY stiff. (I'm sure you know that!) I like it better than my old Floyd Rose. The Deans nut seems to throw it out of tune more than the bridge. (I'm just a hack though) This plays "almost" as well as my old Peavey T-60 that cost $350 20 years ago.

Now, if I could get my fingers to work like they did 20 years ago! (LOL!)
